The keystone block above the window on my open porch was providing a landing spot for birds, who then left a deposit on the window sill or nearby furniture. A 12" piece of ribbon hanging from the ceiling above the keystone block has kept them 100% away. I'm not sure the ribbon would be practical where the wind and weather might blow it away, but it works great in a small and sheltered spot on my porch.

We put the bird repellant tape on the 4 corners of our garden fence, plus in a few spots on the interior. So far, so good....no turkeys have returned to eat our sprouts!

who would think this would keep squirrels away from your house and it doesn't hurt them

We have a bird who spends each night on our porch light leaving quite a mess. We bought the ribbon and tied 3 strands from the chain to hang over the light. The bird just snuggles up inside the ribbon strands now. Didn't work at all.

We were surprised that this product was not on the shelves of any of your stores in our area. We did appreciate your shipment to the local store for pickup and the folks at Customer Service were good to work with. Regarding the product: It does what it is supposed to do.

This tape is great for keeping woodpeckers away. I've used it for years. This particular brand is very sturdy and flashy.

since I'm at work & not home all day to watch, my only gauge of effectiveness would be quantity of bird droppings before & after. I would say my patio definitely has lot less since I put these up, but not sure if it's because of this tape or stuff I sprayed up in awning beams. I clearly see how the noise/motion this mylar tape makes in a good breeze would make birds want to leave - besides, my wife loves the festive multi-color "decoration" now. LOL!

I'm not sure who started the rumor that birds are scared of shiny tape, but I put this stuff all over our one plum tree and it did nothing to deter the birds. Also, the stuff ripped after a month.

Easy to install. I tied the ribbon with a knot like a man's tie, and that seemed to work best. Bottom line: No new woodpecker holes in the house since the ribbon went up a month ago.

The bird repellant ribbon is excellent--very iridescent and easy to work with. I've not had a single hummingbird to impale itself in my screen since using the ribbon.

A beautiful, endangered species, woodpecker was tap, tap, tapping holes in the new rails of my deck and waking me at 5:00 A.M. every morning! I looked for a solution on the internet and the suggestion was "irri tape." I'm a widow and i was able to easily install it. It is quite pretty holographic ribbon and best of all, it worked! Thank you Home Depot for helping me.

We have a protected ledge above columns on my front porch. Those darned robins can build a nest in a couple of hours. Rubber snakes worked for a year or two, then the doves pushed them to the ground and the next day the doves were nesting on one side and robins the other. Hubby bought this product this spring and cut several strips, attaching with push pins above and over the ledge. Scared the birds away the first day. I saw evidence of dropped grass and twigs they were bringing to build their nest, so it scared them enough to drop their stuff. When the wind blows, the strips make a crackling sound that frightens the birds and the shiny strips catch the light and must frighten the birds as well. Worked for us!

I bought this product as a last hope to prevent pigeons from perching over my back wall on the wires above our property. My neighbor feeds them (illegal but city won't help) and a flock of 70+ pigeons was gathering and pooping all over everything in my yard. Nothing worked to deter them, and I'm not the type to poison animals even if was legal. I put the first strips of tape up about a 6 weeks ago along my back fence. As of today, pigeon visits have been cut to almost zero birds. I saw about a dozen come by for a visit yesterday and they didn't stay long whereas in the past they would be here from sunup til sundown. I believe the tape works because of the sound the strips of tape make as they clatter against my chain link fence combined with the reflection. There is always a breeze here so the strips are always blowing around. It also makes a lovely reflection of sparkling light in my yard. Strips + metal fence = scared pigeons.

This stuff works!!! I put up per the instruction and not one bird has come back. Wow! Well worth the cost. If you have a bird problem then you need this product.

I was totally disappointed in this ribbon. The only time it kept the birds on alert is when the wind was blowing it. As soon as there was no or little movement,they went right through it. The tape didn't hold up well with any amount of wind. It would break in half. Contacted the company that it was manufactured by with no real results. They said they would send me a sample of another product to try but as of this review I have yet to see it.

I hung the ribbon around the top of my patio according to directions. The birds ripped it out of place and built a nest behind it. They left their droppings all over the tape. I had to rip the whole thing down. Total waste of money. I could have put up with the unsightly ribbon if it would have helped with the bird problem.

I tied several pieces of Irri-Tape in a tree that overhangs my patio and it has kept the birds away for 2 summers. I will need to replace it next summer since it is now succumbing to wind, rain, and snow. Plus, it looks festive hanging among the branches!

This worked great put a couple of pieces in my trees and a piece on my sunroom roof and no more bird droppings on my deck or down my sunroom windows. Excellent product
