Overall this tub surround is very lovely. I think it is an awesome choice for the correct space. Here are some of the pros and cons we found for this surround. Pros: it is a high value look for a low time investment. Its a tile look without the upkeep! The material feels very high quality and sturdy. The shelf is really nice and was able to fit my large, oval shaped shampoo bottles. It was generally easy to install - we ran into complications related to our plumbing - but without that it probably only took about 2 hours all in. Cons: Because of the shelf it does "jut" out into the shower space. I would estimate you lose about 4 inches of shower space. However, we did seem to solve this by purchasing one of those curved shower rods that bring the shower curtain out over the side of the tub. Additionally, consider the shelf is not reachable from the bathtub and the surround does decrease the width of the ledge on the inside wall of the tub. Our recommendations: we are very happy with this surround in our guest bathroom! I would pick it again for a guest bathroom! It is absolutely beautiful! I would not use the surround in a main bathroom and I would not combine it with a glass style door as I think you would have very little shower space!

Fabulous product! Make sure the tub is perfectly level and the stud walls are plumb otherwise you will have issues installing - take your time and everything will be fine. You lose a few inches due to the niche but that is obvious on the display model at HD so no surprise - install a curved shower rod. If you are a large person this may not be for you. I am used to doing tile jobs so this was a nice change, is super strong, clean looking, tight and definitely will never think about mold growing behind the walls.

Husband didn’t have a hard time installing at all. Easily put custom tile in. Turned out to be a dream. Cleans easily, shelf is still nice and deep for bottles. LOVE IT

This was installed yesterday and there is huge area of discoloration on the back wall. The drywall is already completed around the top of the unit so not sure what to do!

First off make sure you measure for room!!! The shelf is pretty deep so if you are replacing an old surround it might end up with an incline. I am a small woman and I do not have broad shoulders, when I stand under the shower head my arm is right up against the wall. My shower is so much smaller now because it had to accommodate for the deeper shelf. I would have taken it back right away but our plumber installed and caulked it in before we could. The concept for a deep shelf is great but what we ended up with infuriates me!!!

We were excited about purchasing this product, however once we opened it we noticed multiple scratches all over the surface. Very disappointed.

Love this Nextile tub surround. Contemporary subway tile design and very useful inset was the best option we found for the reasonable price. But beware! Installed this in an older home where the walls and floor are not exactly plum and level. The 2 stacked 60" wide panels fit into place easily. But both end panels would not snap into place. I tried everything to nudge then pound them into the corner channels but to no avail. Eventually I had to cut corner tabs away to clear the space. Then wedged in shins from behind to tighten up the corners. If your installing in newer construction there should be no issues. If used with a bowed shower curtain rod the beveled wall is barely noticeable. All said we love the final results! Best looking tub surround compared to all the other options.

I just finished installing one of these in my own bathroom. I don’t know what some of these other reviews are talking about being difficult to install. It’s a very easy system and I installed it myself in a little over an hour, just needed an extra pair of hands into install the plumbing wall piece. Overall it does look quite nice (not as nice as it looked in the showroom). That being said, I’m not overly thrilled with the quality of the product. The middle of the bottom long wall is extremely flimsy with nothing to hold it in place except silicon. Also I noticed a small defect in the niche finish while I was finishing up sealing the surround. Hopefully it doesn’t affect performance because I really don’t want to have to take the whole thing back out. Overall I would say this isn’t worth the price. If I had to do it again I would spend the extra money on the much nicer Utile system.

After being installed for only 3 weeks, my professional shampoo has stained the shelf. It won't come off. I'm so angry right now, it shouldn't stain from shampoo. It's the Matrix Brass off shampoo. My brand new unit might as well be 10 years old. So much for looking new

Love how the surround looks. I added tile to the alcove to personalize it. It does lean in a bit but it doesn’t feel claustrophobic.

I was apprehensive to buy this after reading the only 2 reviews on here abs the fact it was a fairly new product made me leery .. I decided to buy it because I love the look of it and the unique shelf running the entire length of the back wall ..my plumber gave it a thumbs up .. it was the first time he installed this type of surround as well... he said it was a bit different to install but the design is so well made that there is zero chance of water getting behind this unit once it in and siliconed ... the only suggestion I would have is go with the same brand tub...Maax there are a few that are 60x30x60 we went with the Cocoon one... so happy with this purchase. We aren’t finished yet with the edges but wow.. what a nice look abs alternative to tile.

Good quality, easy install. I'm a bathroom remodeler this is one of the easier surrounds I put in. Seems fairly Heavy Duty. I put a piece of inch and 1/8 decking in the grooves behind the side walls for shower door backing.

I have always had garden tubs but recently bought a property where the master bathroom was small...no room for a garden tub. I replaced the all in one tub/surround with a nice Kohler tub and this surround. No regrets. It is wonderful.

This was just what I needed for my bathroom remodels. Both bathrooms needed to be done, and we wanted something with clean lines and heavy-duty material. We order a pair of other surrounds but they both arrived broken, so we returned them. These Bootz surrounds were both in perfect condition! The material is nice a sturdy and the finish is really nice! The shelf isn't very deep so we likely won't add accent tile to it. Accent are nice but falling shampoo bottles aren't! All in all, I highly recommend this!

It was easy to install and looks like real subway tile. The lower back piece is sloped toward the tub, so it can have the top back piece support it , it seems a bit cramped but not too much. This is a great way to pull off wall to wall shelving that's inset without reframing the wall behind the surround. Just make sure you shim all sides to be flush. I had to build out a stud on one side as the plumbed side flange did not have a stud to screw into.

Really great shower surrounding, it is a thick plastic, good construction, glossy white finish for an easy cleanup, it has a full shelf that runs on the back wall, very easy assembly, and has a nice look to it. The outer measurements are 31 1/4" deep, 60" wide, and 61 1/4" tall. I really like plastic for surroundings, bases, and various things around high moisture mainly because of mold as long as its not a dinky plastic that can crack easy.

its solid and very sturdy for a tub surround. i like the direct to stud application no prep work beforehand, instructions are simple to follow and understand. best feature is the full length across the back wall section nook or shelf for all the bath supply's. another cool feature is one can also tile and grout the nook area for a more custom or personal touch. that is a first seeing that as an option on a pre-made surround for me.

I purchased this less than a year ago for a bathroom remodel and it has literally been the worst product ever. The yellow staining that comes out in it after a short period of time makes it look disgusting and being a cleaning company owner it drives me crazy! It is almost as if the yellowing is embedded in the plastic. Very cheap design for the cost. Go another route! Stay away from this one

The tub surround worked out great, good quality for the price. Love the huge shelf that I did in fact tile which made it look even better!

Had the worst experience even trying to receive this product. It was hours and hours on the phone during multiple repeated placed orders. After the 5th attempt over the course of months, upper management at Home depot finally got it right and I received it. Once arrived, the tub had a chip in the finish and the flanges bent. The surround kit was heavily damaged on one of the panels along with damaged areas on the back side of the panels. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

Once it was dry fit I couldn’t separate the upper back wall from the side wall. I managed to get it in place still connected. Also had to remove more sheet rock than anticipated, as the sides needed more room so they could slide into place. Looks good though.

Biggest drawback was how awkward it was to install the wall over the tapset. other than that it looks and functions Great.

install is easy pieces lock into place nice it's thick material not flimsy. caulk the corners when done and good to go

Buyer Beware: The instructions were unclear as to which side was the left and which was the right. After installing the walls a hole was cut into the side for the faucet only to realize the walls in fact needed to be switched. Now there is a hole on the wrong side and a replacement wall cannot be purchased. Very disappointed as I now have a brand new shower with a huge hole. The instructions should be clearer, and the panels should be labeled.

Do not buy this product it’s a huge waste of money. I spent 30 min trying to figure out why it would not assemble as it should. Just to find out that the slots that are supposed to slide into eachother were made wrong from the factory. One side sat an inch higher than the other, and one side was already snapped straight out of the box. Will be taking this product back and hopefully getting a refund because this is a total piece of garbage

Tub surround wasn't sold with my tub, but it still fit perfectly. It was a little bit wider than my alcove, but it was easy to trim the edge to make it work. Love the shelf and how thick the panels are. Really sturdy and perfect for updating the bathroom without spending a bunch of money on tile.
