It was the exact fix for the project. Didn't have to take out the old housing, just replaced the fan/motor part. Working great.

I replaced my existing bathroom fan with the the same Broad-Nutone make/model. As such, it was super easy the replace my old fan by snapping in the new fan into the old housing using only a screwdriver. The old Nutone fan lasted more than a decade and I expect the new one to perform likewise.

My 20 year old fan motor died. It was more expensive to order the motor online than to purchase this in stock fan. The motor and housing fit my existing fan housing mount. As simple as unplugging the fan, unscrewing the housing, and replacing w/ the new.

Popped out the old one.
Pushed in the new one.

Super loud. I knew that but was replacing one just like it and wasn’t able to find another with the exact dimensions.

This fan is terribly loud. I guess you get what you pay for, since it wasn't that expensive. I do not recommend.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the 696N ventilation fan. This fan offers 50 cfm's with an audible 4.0 sones for privacy in your bathroom. We do offer many fans that offer 1.0 sones or less. All of our ventilation fans can be seen on the Broan-NuTone website. Your local Home Depot representative can also help you find a different fan that meets your requirements as well.

This is one of the higher cam for the cost. I am glad we bought this one. I was hesitant due to it being so inexpensive but it has proven to be a great choice. It moves a lot of air and is not very loud. The cover is also appealing to the eye.
