Fan is noisier than they claim. If I didn't need the cfm, I would definitely recommend another brand. Braun fan I had previously was much quieter and had same cfm. Does the job, but not worth the $80.

I upgraded from the least expensive 50cfm NuTone fan because it was noisy. This is 80cfm and advertised as quiet-- 2.5 sones compared to the old fan at 4sones. Both are equally noisy--just a different pitch of noise. And no noticable difference in air movement. Not worth your time or money.

It didn't have enough venting power, so I returned itand purchased bigger unit.

Excellent bath fan to replace old fan or add new. Very quiet and easy to install the box and electrical. Would be five stars if spring clips were better design for cover. The cover was difficult to install.

It does not seem to be working very well.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow and the project was completed in an afternoon. The difficult part had little to do with the item, as it was my concerns of doing the electric, but that turned out fine. I would recommend this product if you are looking for a new bathroom fan.

Did not have to enter the attic to install! Although it took little time to prepare the mount, exhaust duct, and wiring (from previous light fixture) the overall installation was not difficult at all. It is however stronger and louder than other exhaust fans (which is described on the package), and it also has a slight rattle to the fan's sound, but I installed it the guest bathroom and the sound is not noticeable when the door is shut. Very good fan for the price.

This fans is really easy to install

I returned this fan to Home Depot. Never opened the package because it not what I wanted. Looked at Home Depot web site and found one that I liked better. It was ordered on line and had a free 2 day delivery, except it was delivered to a house 2 blocks from my house. The people were nice enough to bring the mis delivered parcel to me. I'm very happy with the new fan and with Home depot on line service. Plan to do more on line Home depot shopping. Hope next time they deliver my parcel to the right house.

Nice fan, very quiet with good exhaust. Recommend it. Clamp connector for the wire not included, had to go buy one. Seems they should have included all the parts needed to install it. Must take fan and motor out of the fan housing to install the damper/duct connector, bad design, extra work.

Replaced a rusted fan in a storage room with this model because the internal fan is all plastic.

It was easy to assemble and as soon as it was hooked up it worked perfectly and did the job it was required to do.

This exhaust fan does exactly what it’s intended for. I personally like the louder fans to mask the noise in the bathroom. Easy to install. I have installed two of these, new construction and in a remodel.

This bathroom fan is pretty straight forward and easy to install which compliments the other fan that was installed in my view, the wrong place.

Six months ago, I had a bathroom completely renovated. It was original to my 50-year-old house, and there were instances in which my contractor had to be creative in making new products work in an older structure. I researched fixtures, tiles, etc before purchasing, but I had done minimal research on vent-fans. One day, my assignment was to go buy a vent-fan because "This noise HAS to go!" Armed with measurements, I went to my local home improvement store, and purchased the above model, keeping my fingers crossed that it would fit my needs and not have to be returned. Everything fit, installation was easy, it has a nice outward appearance, and IT RUNS QUIETLY!! I am a very satisfied customer. Many thanks!

Do not purchase this fan if you want something even remotely quiet. Lots of rattling when mounted. Fan itself is quiet when plugged into an outlet, however the housing makes a lot of noise when the fan is installed.

Very quiet operation

This product is great and clears the room in a matter of seconds. Keep up the good work.

Bought two of these fans. Installed one with great difficulty. The instructions imply that it can be installed without going into the attic. This is impossible since the ducting side has to put in first. The 4" ducting pulled through the opening does not allow for the unit to be placed straight up into the cutout. I tried every possible way. Also, the sharp edge where the ducting comes through cuts it to shreds. After installation, I found that 2 sones is not much quieter than 4 sones. In addition, it looks like the exhaust louvers on the side of the house do not open any more than when the old 50CFM was installed. There is rattling noise when the fan is turned on but I think it is just the cheap flexible duct line that was installed when the house was built. I'll be returning the 2nd fan.

Good ceiling / exhaust bathroom fan. This fan is easy to install and was the exact copy of the one my builder used over 10 years ago when this house was built. So, I was happy to find it and reinstall it in place. The old fans got wobbly and worn after 10 years of use. So, this new fan was nice and quiet and offered great extraction of bathroom odor. Great buy and at a very good price.
