Junk. Very flimsy plastic grill. The first one was broken right in the box (it was already opened). I can see why someone broke it and took it back, it is SO SO thin and weak. Home Depot replaced it though for me thank goodness. But the brand new fan still rattles. My Broan does not rattle. So I have a brand new junky fan that rattles and there seems to be no way of removing the rattle. I've tried everything.

I had this installed by the electrician and he recommended to get at least 90 CFM. The original builder cost $10 he stated. I am glad he did it due to it had to be cut a larger into the ceiling. It works great and takes the humidity right out and it is little noisy. One other thing if you have a 3 inch pipe going out order the reducer to go from 4 to 3 inches.

Amazingly easy to install. Wiring and fan come out while you install box. Fan then wiring are easily connected and then all that's left is the cover. Hardest part was getting out the old fan.

Great exhaust it pulls good all the moisture out . I totally recomend it , I have a small bathroom it clears all the steam within 10 mins after waters turned off . Its not loud you cant hear it once the water starts running its just right .

Good fit very quite and does the job it was designed to do. The only complaint is the clips that latched the cover are hard to get cooperate took numerous times to get them to catch other than this I would recommend.

First comments related to using this to replace an existing fan: the ability to connect the duct from the inside is a great idea, but it is difficult if you are using an insulated duct (like http://www.homedepot.com/p/4-in-x-25-ft-Insulated-Flexible-Duct-R6-Silver-Jacket-F6IFD4X300/100396934). There isn't enough room to get both the duct and duct connector thru the hole in the housing. I had to remove insulation from the duct at the connector end to reduce the size enough to get thru the hole. Only one side of the housing has screw holes, I needed them on the other side and had to drill holes in the housing myself. General comments: If you squeeze the duct connector in just the right place the duct door falls out, and is a little confusing to get back in. And the duct door doesn't seal tight, there are several gaps, but is better than nothing. Once installed there was a rattling noise, probably from the duct door vibrating from the air flow. You can get this thing to work with a lot of effort, be prepared.

This fan works well. It's not as quiet as I thought it would be but does the job.

Very quiet and moves plenty of air. Definitely recommend this one over some others that I return d because they were loud.

this one was effortless to install, and so quiet I have to listen to make sure it is on. I like the plug in feature...if it ever goes out, I can simply replace the motor.

I bought this fan to replace a 22 year old vent that was made by Nutone but no longer vented properly (although it was still working well). After retro fitting it into the ceiling we found it to be was too noisy for a fan rated at 3 somes. I will take it out and return it and put in the upgrade model rated at less than 1 some and is an energy star rated utility. The only down side is that the AEN80 costs almost twice as much as the ARN80. So it will take me a lot longer to recover my energy costs.

I bought and installed this unit yesterday. The fan rattles and sounds like it is about to die. I checked to see if anything in the housing or vent was rattling, but the problem is in the motor unit.

Easy to install, good instructions and pictures included. Pretty quiet for the air flow, at 3 sones was quieter than the Nutone 50CFM fan I was replacing for more air flow.

The reason I bought this fan was based on its rating of 2.0 Sones. is just as noisy as the vintage fan I replaced. It exhausts okay but the noise level in a small bathroom (50 sq ft) with a tile floor is unacceptable.

In installed in a few minutes. It was a new install and fit great in both bathroms.

I had this fan installed a month ago by a trusted professional. It makes an unbearable scratchy, rattling sound. Will have to replace it. The grill is very tricky to install: each pair of prongs has to be inserted into two small hooks while squeezing them tightly inwards. Hooking up the second pair of prongs is near impossible.

We had our vent fan professionally installed, and just over 2 months afterwards, the motor completely stopped working. Home depot was great in that they looked up the receipt, which we had lost, and printed us a new one. We are in the process of obtaining a replacement motor directly from NuTone, who, so far, have been very helpful. Hopefully this won't happen again after the new motor is installed, and hopefully the motor works!

Purchased the InVent Series 80 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Bath Fan. Installation was OK, The grille Spring is very weak, bad design. I will take the springs and grille back to HomeDepot.

I replaced 2 exhaust fans in my house from the old contractor grade all noise no exhaust. These fans are easy to install and very quiet. Not as quiet as a $150.00 dollar fan but a huge change in what I had. They will pull the exhaust of steam and other unwanted things from the air. I would highly recommend these fans.

This fan in the store was billed as quiet, but it rattles and is noisier than my old fan that I replaced. This fan was installed by a contractor so not installed incorrectly. Very disappointing.

Great product. Needed specific size for older home and this one fit the bill. Works great at the 80 cfms.
