The floor looks great with the low gloss finish. It was installed by a professional contractor who only does wood floors

No quality control
Ordered 2 boxes of this to install in a small entry way so the carpet had something to butt up against when it is installed. Opened the boxes to install today and they are 2 completely different colors, despite both being labeled Shale! Where is the quality control? They are so completely different it would look ridiculous, and no it isn’t really natural variation, it is the whole box one color and the whole box the other. 1 is brown and 1 is the desired gray. Won’t buy Bruce flooring again.

Nice floor but close attention is needed
Overall the floor looks really nice but there were several pieces that did not have an end groove cut, some end cuts were not square, some boards were wider/narrower than others - so much so that it would have left a gap wide enough to see the tongue and staples and, after it was installed and we walked on it, we noticed a lot of boards are thicker than others - all from the same lot number! Pay close attention when installing, it can be tricky. For the price, it should have been better quality.

      Different product, very disappoint!
I bought 8 cases with 5 in wide and received it about 10 days ago. I didn't find the product is different from the pictures on the product page until I opened the box to see it and prepare the installation today. The reverse side has only 2 grooves. It should have 5 grooves which is better and easily get a flat floor. 2-groove floors, of course, is easier to make and spend less labor and should be cheaper than 5-groove floor. Very disappoint and not honest supplier!!

Hi there! We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced.  It is our aim to provide quality products and services to our customers and to meet your expectations.

Wood is a natural material containing distinctive differences in color and grain configurations. It is these differences, caused by nature, that create the warmth, beauty and originality of each hardwood floor.

The Plano collection is part of Bruce’s Natural Grade category which features a greater amount of visual character, such as wider color and grain variation, mineral streaks, knots and small holes as well as minor milling imperfections.

If you feel this is a manufacturing issue, you may go back to the flooring retailer where the material was purchased.  You would need your sales receipt, as it serves as your proof of purchase.  From this, the retailer would be able to identify your flooring product.

We do not have individual representatives to inspect your floor; therefore, rely on our flooring retailers who are trained and authorized to inspect them for us.

The sales receipt is required by both the retailer and AHF Products .  If this is a warrantable issue, the retailer will then be able to file a claim with AHF Products.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. We hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again by e-mail at ahfproductsupport@ahfproducts.com or by phone at 1-866-243-2726. AHFProducts
        Solid Hardwood
By this stage in my life I've likely installed 4 houses-worth - many thousands of square feet - of flooring as a homeowner. Some are easier to install, some are more difficult; but at the end of the day you just can't beat hardwood oak flooring for longevity and dependability. The pre-finished Bruce Plano planks come in somewhat-random lengths in the carton, so you'll want to open several cartons at a time and mix-and-match. The tongue-and-groove cuts are very precise, making installation simple (especially with a pneumatic hammer). They are a full 3/4" in thickness, and can eventually be refinished if required. To me, this is furniture-grade finished wood.

        Beautiful
I was looking to change the look of my old tile view and found this gorgeous and beautiful real wood planks on various lengths. The system that this wood flooring use is the tongue and groove system, it’s really easy to do just a few tools required for a complete installation to make cuts where needed. Like all real natural wood it’s really beautiful to see all kinds of wood features like knots, streaks, and imperfections that makes it unique. The color finished is perfect blend for the kitchen cabinets. Each box covers about 18 sq. ft. and has a very competitive price range for a real wood flooring.

This is a warm, solid wood floor for the ages
So glad I chose this solid hardwood flooring. There is just a warmth that comes from real wood that engineered wood or laminate can't match. While those other wood look-a-likes are scratch and wear resistant, solid wood has character and tells a story about the home where it is installed. That story is more easily updated since it can be sanded and refinished multiple times through decades of use. For flooring that adds charm and warmth to your home, solid hardwood is hard to beat.

Nice board size, light colored, old style solid Oak flooring
This Taupe flooring is an excellent dust hiding color! Being lighter than many floor colors, it brightens the room you install it in. Being somewhat a traditionalist, I like the 3/4" thick solid Oak tongue and groove flooring that can be sanded and refinished for decades. Unless you seal this well after install, expect scratches and wear. The color does not penetrate very deep and it is easily scratched through. It just gives that old world charm of a warm, solid wood floor!

Old style solid Oak wood flooring, has stood the test of time
If you want a floor that feels solid and has the warmth of real wood, this product is a great choice. Made of solid 3/4" Oak hardwood, this flooring will last for many years. Since the color doesn't penetrate deeply into the wood, it can be sanded off easily to change the look. Also because of this, I recommend sealing your floor once it is laid as the color can be easily scratched through. Note the picture I included that shows where I used 220 grit sandpaper and lightly sanded as well as scraping metal across it leaving scratches. This is normal for real hardwood flooring.

Solid 3/4" Oak hardwood flooring, not engineered wood
I chose this flooring because it is real 3/4" solid Oak wood. This is what old homes were built with and it stands the test of time. While it is hardwood and has a finish on the top surface, I highly recommend putting a topcoat finish such as Polyurethane on it once it is installed. The finish that is on this is not deep and will scratch through easily if not sealed. If you are looking for a traditional hardwood floor that can be refinished many times through the years, this is a good choice.

Solid hardwood tongue and groove flooring will save money..
This solid hardwood tongue and groove flooring really is solid hardwood and a full 3/4". The low gloss gray finish is all most a perfect match to my laundry room floor. My washer and dryer will be on a raised floor which has 1 foot on center floor joists. So the 3/4" flooring will be strong enough to hold the weight of the Washer and dryer with out a sub floor. That's why I got the 3/4" flooring to save me a little money. At 68 every dollar counts. Good luck with all your projects.

        Fantastic Solid Oak Flooring!
I requested this solid hardwood oak flooring through the Home Depot Seeds reviewer program this month so that I could put down a new floor in our enclosed front porch. The flooring out there has very bad cupping after more than 30 years of being partially exposed to the elements (no insulation in those walls) to the point our new storm door can't seal to the floor when closed. So I'm removing all our items from the porch, pulling up all the flooring out there, installing rockwool insulation in the floor joists and finally installing this new flooring. I'll also be using outdoor-rated construction screws that are narrower to secure the flooring to the joists in lieu of nailing. That should provide a beautiful solid floor that looks great for decades to come! As a side benefit, this flooring had one box damaged on the end, and the shipper asked me to sign a release. After inspecting the product, it turned out the flooring survived without a scratch! That's durability!

        Couldn't be happier!
I just finished installing about 650 sq/ft of this flooring across three different rooms. Like the title says, I couldn't be happier. The finish is true to the picture shown and the quality of the milling was quite good. I'm not a professional but I have installed hardwood flooring in the past. I don't believe any prefinished hardwood is without minor flaws. Anytime you have a solid piece of wood you will have some degree of warping or boards with a crown to them. I was concerned at this price point that I would run into those problems but there was very little of either in the boxes I received. I had ordered about 15% over what I needed incase I ran into poorly milled boards that I couldn't use but it proved to have been unnecessary. I was able to return the unused boxes for a full refund. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

Do not even think about it
This product is horrible. It took my contractors 4x as long to install as many peices were of varying widths creating unsightly gaps between the planks. Im not sure whar happened to the reviews on here as there were numerous reviews that mentioned this issue and they all seem to have dissaleared. Also, way to many small peices. Again, just avoid this product if possible.

Hello! Thank you very much for taking the time to enter your comments. It is important for us to hear feedback from our customers, and we thank you for taking the time to write us. It is our aim to provide quality products and services to our customers and to meet your expectations. Beautiful hardwood floors are a product of nature and therefore, not perfect. Our hardwood floors are manufactured in accordance with accepted industry standards, which permit grading deficiencies not to exceed 5%. These grading deficiencies may be of a manufacturing or natural type. When flooring is ordered, 5% must be added to the actual square footage needed for cutting and grading allowance (10% for diagonal installations). If you feel this is a manufacturing issue, you may go back to the flooring retailer where the material was purchased, with a copy of your receipt. A sales associate will be happy to file a claim on your behalf. We hope that this information is helpful. This is good quality real wood flooring. It has a great finish and is strong and durable for use in any high traffic area of the house. Installation can be done by DIYers as long as the installation instructions are followed closely. To get the best results the subfloor should be level and solid and the flooring acclimated for several days to a week before installation. I preferred using a manual nailer to install the flooring and took extra care to insure each plank was firmly seated in the tongue and groove with no gaps before nailing. This sometimes required prying slightly curved pieces together and using nails generously. The results were great. While this was a little wider than previous Bruce flooring I installed in our dining room and kitchen, the previous floor shown in photos are over 20 years old and have survived three kids and countless pets and still look good.

This flooring is good quality, has a good consistent finish, and it is pretty straight forward to install if you follow the requirements to allow the boxes of flooring to acclimate prior to installation. Its also key to have a level and sound subfloor. I installed ours over a layer of rosin paper. I used the manual flooring nailer and the recommended nails and spacing. Where I was using a long strip that had a slight curvature, I used a pry bar to push the flooring strip perfectly flush before nailing and used closely spaced nails to ensure it would stay straight. I used this identical brand of flooring on our kitchen and dining room floor when we remodeled our house 20 years ago and as the picture shows it still is looking good after 20 years with only normal cleaning using Bruce hardwood floor cleaner and polish.

Totally solid and beautiful piece of oak with a hard finish that will wear well for many years. I took pictures of both the the tongue and the groove to show you how excellently these are machined. When putting these boards together they fit together PERFECTLY and give you a solid and wonderfully fit. I am extremely impressed with quality of this product and how well it has been manufactured.

Truly enjoyed installing this flooring material. It is a true 3/4 of an inch thick natural wood with a hard finish on it. Extremely durable as well. Found all the boards to be true and ready for installation after waiting the the 24 hours for them to acclimate on to the job site. Was very pleased with how well the tongue and groove fit together on each piece of material. Very tight joint!

While this finish is called on the website as a Taupe finished material , I really was disappointed that it's more of a "white wash" type finish material. This is an excellent example of why you order sample materials before ordering a pallet to the job site. Fit and finish is however nice on the material and it would hold up nice. Loved how nice and tight the tongue fit into the groove as well. If you like lighter colored wood, this is a perfect fit for you. Give it a try.

Solid finish on these boards but I wonder if it's a little on the lighter side. Using these these boards on a set of basement steps so it will be interesting to see how well it holds up. Should be interesting. I have used this manufacturer in other rooms but have used area rugs for protection. Working with this material is a pleasure. Boards are true and straight. Tongues fit perfectly together too.

Beautiful and solid word wood flooring. I found the installation to be very easy with this full 3/4" material. The first thing I did to go through the material and find the smallest piece and I used that as my hammer blocking. That totally helped me make sure every board was installed nice and tight to the next one. That made for a tight installation. Material was extremely straight and true. Was extremely impressed!

Bruce wood flooring is definitely geared towards a new build or newly built home without an existing floor. This flooring is extremely thick and is made to be installed on subfloor only. The flooring is definitely real wood, has the pine and wood smell to it. Flooring is also extremely heavy but as far as durability it can get scratched easily so be cautious to which room you install and make sure all furniture has the guards so no chairs scratch or scuff the floor.

Bruce Plano Low Gloss Country Natural Oak flooring in various lengths looks great on my floor. It is easy to install if you do not mind trying to find the exact lengths of boards it takes to span from one wall to the other. I used a hammer and a block of wood to fit the boards together, then used a nail gun to secure them to the floor. It has a high quality finish and should last a long time of wear and tear walking on them.

Receive these in the mail today and I'm surprised it's only two boards for $122 That's a bit much perboard when you have a large deck I feel like there might be better options out there price wise now all that being said it's very nice material it looks like real aged wood it's got a proper texture and everything it's nice and thick it's a true one-inch thickness by 5.5-in wide very heavy and durable but I still can't justify $122 for just two boards in a pack

To start off I do prefer hardwood flooring that is installed and finished on site. But there is a place for prefinished, it does speed up things and is a lot less messy. This flooring looks like it is made from some nice oak (i'm not a wood expert by any measure). But the grain is not that large, but it's not old growth tight grain wood. there are minimal signs of knots. The finish seem pretty durable, like any wood flooring I would hesitate on installing it at an exterior entrance that get used all the time unless your shoes are clean or you take them off once you get inside. I hit a few scrap pieces with sand paper and it's pretty easy to leave scratches (not surprising, it's what sand paper is supposed to do). Dimensionally the boards are very consistent so it makes installation easier (no weird gaps to deal with or sorting wider and narrower boards (even boards of different finish were the same). The lengths are not all full length boards (flooring rarely is, and if it is you're paying a premium for it). I would have been nice if there was more longer boards. I am not sure if it was just my shipment but a fair bit of the boxes were broken open on the ends and this makes it more likely the ends of the boards being damages (about 5-10% of the boards were dinged up). Since the ends are tongue and groove, any cuts in the field with a finish other than natural might be an eyesore.
