Bruce Plano Country Natural Oak hardwood flooring 5 inch planks are just beautiful. These wider floor boards look fantastic, the low gloss finish works beautifully with my existing floor boards, that have been naturally worn through use. I’m redoing my bedroom floors and these solid wood oak floor boards will match the existing hardwood flooring perfectly. These boards have what Bruce calls ‘micro beveled’, not the v-bevels, but a bit less pronounced while still maintaining a clean finished edge. Installation of the boards are standard as with all tongue and groove floor board installations. Bruce hardwood flooring has never failed me, and I can’t be happier with these 5 inch width boards!

These are a great choice for a hardwood floor option if you are looking to add Oak floors. The 3 boxes that I received had a great assortment of lengths (all at 5 inches wide). All of the pieces were cut really well and had very little variance between colors and the gaps, so they all fit together really well. They also have a great amount of actual surface, so they will be easy to refinish when the time comes.

The pallet of hardwood flooring arrived and I couldn't believe how much was delivered. Fifteen boxes! I ordered as much as I could in two colors, low gloss and they "match" pretty well. In all of the You-Tube videos it explains that you should open the boxes and work to match the wood the way it looks best. So I will just be doing that but with two colors and nixed sizes. I know that this is going to work. I did the math and was so excited to find that I have enough hardwood flooring to complete my entire upstairs. I already did a "dry fit" on part of the small room to see how it will look and get photos. It is going to look awesome!

The pallet of hardwood flooring arrived! I was expecting to get 20 square feet of flooring and ordered as many as I could in two colors and three sizes to have enough to use in one of the small rooms upstairs. I have one large room, one small room and a long closet. I was lucky enough to choose two colors, both low gloss that seem to "match" eachother pretty well. Fifteen boxes of hardwood flooring were delivered and it is enough material to completely finish the floors upstairs! I did the math and found that I have enough to complete it, including the closet. I am so excited!!!

I was so excited when this hardwood flooring arrived! I can't wait to install it! Finishing the entire secnd floor has been a dream of mine and this low gloss hardwood flooring it just perfect. I just have to rent the proper equipment for installation. I "dry fit" a small portion of the wood strips and it seemed to fit together very quickly and easily. I read all of the instructions and watched a couple of You-Tube videos which offered several helpful tips for easy installation. I have experience putting in vinyl tiles, and engineered flooring. I am sure that this flooring will be as easy to install as those products.

I have never used the shale hardwood - It was a change for me. I have don't laminates in this color and they look flat. This product turned out so much nicer than I thought it would. 3/4 wood is so durable Hardness is somewhere near the very top - does not dent or scratch easily This wood is easy to do repairs if you need to cut a spot out You can sand and fix spot as needed - This is not something you can do with anything else. While a little tougher to install - there is no substitute to the top end.

I have not done hardwood flooring in a long time. I got used to doing interlocking flooring and that is so easy. I forgot how good this wood is. The hardwood does not fail like laminate - Also if you stain the floor, you can sand and repair with ease. You also can do repairs to a specific spot. This wood had such a beautiful finish - It is rich and looks very deep. Such a great reminder hard wood is the best product out there.

Response from AHF Products TeamSep 11, 2020
Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to enter your comments.

Our marketing team depicts our flooring products as accurately as possible when displayed online and in printed literature. However, color variation from digital content and the actual product or sample can occur. Monitor display settings on digital devices such as computers, tablets, and smartphones - just to name a few - can vary widely. So products may appear to be darker or lighter in-person compared to their photos.

AHF Products always recommends viewing a physical sample piece of the flooring material which will provide a more accurate depiction of the product's color. Because wood is a natural product with variations in grain and color; we encourage you to view several actual samples before finalizing a specification.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that this information is helpful. Have a great day. AHFProducts

This "Country Natural" low gloss finish really allows the natural beauty of the wood to come through. I really like the 5" wide plank flooring look; it adds a more rustic/farmhouse feel to the floor. The cases do come with a variety of plank lengths, I found the majority to be less than 2 feet long, a number of 3-4 footers, and a few 5+ footers. The variety of lengths helps you put the flooring puzzle together with less cutting, and therefore less waste. However, it is still always prudent to order slightly more flooring than you need.

Excellent quality! Always expect the best from Bruce Hardwood Flooring. This is a very nice and pleasing stain color of 5" oak flooring. Easy to install with the proper tools (flooring air nailer, and a compressor). Come in variable lengths of boards. Tounge and grooves are nice and smooth, to ease the joining of the pieces together. Durable finish will last a long time

This review is for the Bruce Oak Hardwood Flooring in both the Gunstock and Marsh finishes in the 3 sizes of 2 1/4", 3 1/4", and 5" widths. All pieces can be connected in any floor pattern desired, as they have a standard tongue-and-groove fit. They come in random lengths, with the majority being 2-3 feet long, some longer, and a few as short as 16". The pictures show the variances that can occur in both finishes and grain. The first picture shows the cartons, with the Gunstock finish stacked on the left and the Marsh on the right, a total of 3 cartons of each width and finish. The second picture shows, in order, a pair of 3 1/4" Marsh boards, then a 2 1/4" Marsh board, then a 2 1/4" Gunstock board, and finally the 5" Gunstock board (two of these are end butted together). What is interesting is that in general, the Marsh finish is lighter and more "orangey" than the Gunstock finish, which is slightly darker, with more of a brown hue. But in the second picture, only the 2 1/4" Marsh board displays the predominant color of the Marsh finish; the 3 1/4" Marsh boards look more like the Gunstock finish. This shows how grain and differences in tree variety can cause the finish to appear orange, deep red, or brown. Interspersing Gunstock and Marsh boards of differing widths on the same floor provides an interesting, rustic appearance, perfect for a casual look. It is recommended that you open a carton and see how the color of the boards will work for you, and there is significant variance between individual boards. Beautiful product.

I ordered this BRUCE PLANO LOW GLOSS COUNTRY NATURAL OAK 3/4 IN. T X 2-1/4 IN. W X VARYING LENGTH SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING (23.5 SQ. FT./CASE) to redo a bedroom that had carpet originally. The color is very nice, but understand that not all pieces are going to be blond in color as it's a natural product. There were pieces that were included with darker brown streaks that I just used in the closet. There seemed to be quite a few short lengths, more than what I expected, again I used them in the closet or used them where I knew they would be covered up by a bookcase. I would suggest you order 20% - 25% more than you need so that you will have enough of the best pieces for the middle "show area" of the floor. I think this pre-refinished flooring is great and it's actually less than the unfinished flooring at my local HD. If you've ever used oil based urethane for floors you know it can take a month before the smell of the finish goes away and it won't be as tuff as a factory finish, nor as consistent. If you found this review helpful please click on the thumbs up button, thanks! MikeTheReviewer
