Had to rewrite this because they took down the first one. The product is defective and cost my family a lot of money in damages.

I was super excited to have this appliance delivered in 3/20. Simple, clean design and powerful burners throughout. It was already broken by that December. It took months to have it repaired with several trips and several pieces replaced. Now just a few months out of warranty, another part has failed and I have to start paying to repair this new, already expensive unit. When I call, I'm only offered service I can pay for (I was also offered an option to buy a new one at a discount??), which I imagine I will be doing for the life of this product. Can't wait to replace this in the future and never have another cafe product in its place.

I purchased this in August 2020 as the center piece of our kitchen remodel. I spent months online looking for specific features and reviews and came up with this, which then drove the rest of my appliance purchases (we did a full Cafe kitchen). My wife is an excellent chef, and could be professional if she wanted to be. This is a beast of a range. It is only six inches wider than a standard range but it fills that space out completely. The hardware on it is clean, with just the Cafe band on the handle to provide any break from the commercial kitchen look. The range top is all business with an inch wide bezel on each side and the rest being the reversible grills. The oven is very spacious, with a three trays, one that rides on bearings, and it fits a half sheet with a bit of room to spare. It heats up quickly and consistently. The broil functions work well, however the door must be closed to use it. This may just be due to it being gas, as all of my electrical ovens would have it work with the door being open. On the top rack, browning is a little inconsistent with the heat concentrating in the middle. I may see if it works better to let it "preheat" and then put items in with it at full heat. The bearing loaded rack is great, although a bit tricky to move, but it can handle a full size turkey, ham or cast iron pot with no issues rolling. The convection settings (roast and bake) we haven't used as much, but I found that convection bake makes it easier to bake two pizzas at the same time. The proof setting did its job. The only issue we've had so far is that the igniter died suddenly had to be replaced under warranty about a year after we bought it. The range top has been mostly flawless. I've used all of the burners at once a couple of times and as long as the oven isn't on I have enough juice to do it. The range on the temperatures makes dialing in a specific temperature very easy. The top end is a little bare though as boiling a pot of water takes a much longer time than when we used elements or glass tops. The reversible grates are a cool addition if you use something like a wok, which we have. The burners are sealed which means you don't have to worry about it when deep cleaning, however a lot of junk ends up getting into the burner area. Once the grate holders are off cleaning is a snap. I am surprised it doesn't have any smart features since it uses a temp probe. Maybe there is an issue running the oven when not at home. Overall the fit and finish is great. I can't say flawless because the igniter has already failed once on us, and the boil time is sort of ridiculous. This is our first gas range though, and I understand that gas is fairly energy inefficient compared to electric options so that might be normal.

We love the Stove but having the same size burners on all 6 , would make this a one star product vs. 5.

I've had this oven for 2 years, and have had to replace the oven igniter twice already. It seems like this is a chronic problem as others have noted the same issue. While its not all that difficult to replace, the igniters aren't cheap and you need to pull the oven out and remove the back panel to replace it. Not really convenient, especially if you have company coming that evening. Make sure you have a spare on hand. Also, if you want to keep the burners clean, good luck. Once grease gets burned on, it's nearly impossible to get them looking like new again. And the enamel cooktop is very difficult to keep clean without a razor blade scraper unless you clean any drips immediately. They should have gone with a glass cooktop. And lo and behold, if you remove the lower burner assembly, you will probably notice corrosion around the screw holes. What a train-wreck of a range. I know that it's discontinued. I just hope that the updated model isn't riddled with these issues.

We were so excited to receive our 36" black Cafe stove. It is beautiful in matte black and we love the look. However, the 6 large burners, all the same size, are a huge challenge to use. It is almost impossible to use a small pot and boil anything. To prevent the flames from licking the sides, it must be turned down enough that it is hard to bring water to a boil. A medium sized pot... again to bring to a boil the sides of the pot get very hot (cooking sauces to the side). Large pots take quite some time to boil water, and the centre does not come to a boil. Frying pans... the centre does not get nearly as hot as the outer area. It just does not heat up the centre of any pot/pans as it does the sides. I noticed that the new model has a Inspiral Burner and a multi-ring burner. Is there any way to change out our current rings with the new multi-sized rings?

I have been using my new Cafe stove for 4 months now and I love it. Pros: holds a full size baking sheet, multiple burners, easy clean up Cons: cooking at low temps, will only allow for 25 degree increments when cooking and the temp swings up to 35 degrees when cycling on and off during cooking, and it does scratch easily but I use my oven a lot and have boys. Would I buy this product again...yeah I would. It totally cuts my baking time down with being able to put the full sheet pans in.

We are really happy with the Cafe range. Looks great and I like the burners that are the same size with the flat grates and the wok feature. Also nice how the grates are textured to prevent pans sliding to easily. The igniters work well and the burners are easily removed for cleaning. The oven is really large and has main rack with roller bearings for easy slide out. The oven control is simple to operate and has easy to read temperature read out and beeps when temperature is reached.

Purchased this for our daughter’s family and they love it! Replaced their old Okeef Merritt range and this range is classic. We would have loved the white version but due to delivery delays, the stainless steel version fits the build too.

I love this stove! It's so pretty and has everything I need in a stove (and more!). It's not overly complicated, very straightforward. It's the highlight of my kitchen. I got the matte white and it is stunning, So far, very easy to keep clean too.

Love this stove! The 6 burners are huge and i appreciate that each topper has a work setting if you flip them over. The heat knobs are a little confusing since there is a normal section and a "large pot/pan" section but it works very well. The oven is nice too and the light always stats on.

So happy with this range. It's beautiful in my kitchen. Didn't think I would enjoy the gas oven as much as I do. My husband loves it as well as he does most of the cooking!

My wife and I love cooking gourmet. This range was selected by our builder. By far, this range is the best we have used to date. (And we have used a lot of different ones.) Highly recommend!

there is no indicator light when a burner is on, so if the burners are on low it is easy to forget they are on. also the oven started to short out after 2 years.

The oven heats up faster than our old one. Just a few minutes to 400. We have not used all of the oven features yet but soon will. Our only issue so far is the size of the burners. They are big in diameter and don't accommodate small pots especially at higher heats. The heat will burn anything that is over the side-we had a small amount of spaghetti in a medium sized pot and the spaghetti that hadn't softened began to brown from the heat.

We recently completed a major remodel of our kitchen and bought this range. I love all the features, especially the large and sturdy pull out racks in the oven. There is a handy burner option on the stove for small and large pans. I've never cooked with gas before, so there's a bit of a learning curve, but I love it. I haven't used the cleaning feature yet, so i cannot comment on that. The range seems easy to clean, and the instruction manual is very thorough.

It heats up so fast and holds so much! We love the six burners too.

We’ve admired it for three weeks as we waited for it to get hooked up. So far we love the control knobs and the ability to go from a very low simmer to a very high boil. We have yet to use the oven or any of it’s many features.

Initially, we loved our new range. It worked great for a year - no complaints. One month after our year warranty ended, the oven stopped working. Extremely disappointed. 6 months ago we ordered the rest of the appliances for our new kitchen. We went with cafe line to match our range - 48” side by side, wall oven and microwave combo, dishwasher, refrigerator drawers. We’ve received the side by side and dishwasher but still waiting on the rest. We’re now considering canceling our order for the rest of the line as we’re very concerned about the quality of the cafe line. We expected better and are hoping this issue can be resolved.

This is the first gas range i have ever had that does not burn food left to simmer!

One of the best purchases I have ever made. The oven is enormous and has so many features. Great for a person who loves to cook and bake.

I have had this for a month. I love the 6 burners, the sliding racks and everything about this oven. It also has a cleaning option which I didnt expect.

I have owned this range for less than 3 years and now the oven is not working. My wife was about to bake some cookies for my kids, when she to turn it on the over never fired up. You would think for the amount I paid for this range it would not need any repairs so quickly. I’m afraid to know how much the cost for repairs is going to be.

We moved into our new home July 1 2020. the range would not heat above 200 degrees. after 3 months of 3 service visits GE finally replaced it on Oct. 2020. We tried the Convection bake option on Feb. 20 2021 and it does not work. I would never buy and expensive overpriced Cafe range again.

We have been using our range for 8 months, wanted to use before writing a review. Overall it is a great range, there have been many times where we used all six burners! All worked really well. We have used the oven for baking, cooking and heating, again all exceptional. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the oven knob, I feel that it is too easy to turn on, we don't have young kids around, but I would be worried that if we did, that they can easily turn on the oven.

We bought this for our new kitchen remodel and have been so happy with it. We love the 6 burners with excellent temperature control, the roomy oven, the options for convection baking, the proofing option.

I love that this stove has reversible burners so I can flip them and use my wok with tons of BTUs for great searing!!

We just received and installed our beautiful 36" range. We just love the look and function of this range. Powerful BTU's make cooking a breeze. It also fits our largest baking sheets which is a plus, but the biggest plus is the pull out oven racks that make it easy on my back.
