This is a good base for an umbrella smaller than 7.5ft. If there is any wind it doesn't weigh enough to hold our 7.5ft umbrella without adding extra weight.

Enjoying the premium heavy duty base. Currently supporting 11 foot umbrella but will take a larger size.

With little wind, the umbrella lifted and the plastic holder ripped and bent screw ! Plastic holder cheap and failed!

I thought this would be heavy enough based on reviews from people in the Northeast but it tips with even small gusts of wind. The base itself is fine, easy to install the umbrella.

This is a great umbrella stand, fits perfect on our balcony. The 50lb weight certainly stabilizes our 6x6ft umbrella on this fourth floor level.

Very heavyweight, sturdy base.

The stand itself is heavy and solid but has plastic parts for holding in place ambrella. It needs to be in use for a while in order to give honest reviw.

So far this is just what we needed for our windy deck, it's heavy enough and the base is wide enough to keep our 9 foot umbrella upright when the wind gets going. Very nice.

Sleek, simple yet stylish and does the job well. Doesn't budge.

A decent quality base. It has a thick metal casting which protects the weighted concrete below it, unlike the similarly priced and weight competitor which I had also bought from Home Depot. That other one was just a dome shaped hunk of painted concrete with a thin rubber band around it, which predictably enough arrived in pieces so I had to return it. This one appears better made. The paint finish is 'semi gloss' black and the tightening knob is plastic but is really okay for the price. The only really nice looking ones I've seen were from high end outdoors stores and those bases were significantly more costly.

Actually the umbrella poll was a little higher than expected. I had to remove the top piece of the poll to fit the umbrella in. I am going to look for someone to cut the poll.
