Very nice. Runs a little big and shrinks only a little in a warm dryer. Keeps me warm on cold, wet, misty days along with high neck poly underwear. Hood is soft and warm and a good fit with a bare head. Good buy

I ordered the wrong size, I am not a tall person. I want a regular one

It was what I expected and my boyfriend really liked it. He didn't experience it in the rain yet but in a light rain it would be good enough.

I have been wearing Carhartt for a very long time. I have no problem with with the durability and the quality. I am bored and tired of the same old colors. Would love to see some different colors in the big and tall. Have been a 3xlt forever NEW COLORS PLEASE!!

We love these! We bought a size larger to accommodate sweaters and layers of long sleeve tee shirts and henleys... we live in south central Alaska and this is the perfect jacket/ hoodie for spending time outdoors. After years... 4 years I think, they still bead water and are tough as nails and very comfortable.

Awesome sweatshirt but I wish they would bring back dark brown color again.

I love the zip up, only thing I'd say is to definitely size down. Im 6'2 300lbs and normally wear a 3XT, wish I had ordered a 2XT with this order though because the 3XT is way baggy on me.

If you want the heaviest duty hoodie you can buy, get this. Be aware, though. This hoodie is HEAVY! I love the color. But, this is just too heavy for me for everyday wear. If I worked outside in rough conditions, this would be ideal. I just wear mine when running around town. I like my midweight hoodie much better. Yes, I know that 'Heavyweight' is in the name. It's not a critique of the quality, just know that the garment has some heft to it!

It's a nice quality sweatshirt. The thickness of it is good. My favorite part of this sweatshirt is it's plenty big.

Love my sweatshirt. With 10 degrees below normal almost every day this spring, I wear it every day. Heavy weight feels wonderful. Fit is long on me but that is best on windy days.

One of the best hood sweaters for cool weather and an occasional rain. My old one keep me dry in a pinch, so I have no doubt the will do the same.

Carhartt rain defender hoodie feels great. It's comfortable and warm. Love the double pocket on one side of the hoodie. Fits perfectly.

Carhart heavyweight hoodie is my favorite and I have worn through many.

Fits perfectly and it is a tall. The regular fit our son perfectly as well.

Fit and finish of the item were perfect. I wear a large and Carhartt large is just right for me; sleeve and torso length are excellent. I did think that it would be a bit warmer by itself, but over a thermal long sleeve it's fine.

This sweatshirt has some good weight to it and fits 'True to Size' in my opinion. With it being a heavyweight sweatshirt, it's very warm and feels like high quality materials. I've worn this in 35-40 degree weather a couple times for a few hours, and I've stayed nice and toasty the whole time.

I ordered an XL in size which is what I would normally order in such an item. This particular hoodie comes in a loose fit and it is of a LONG cut. Together that made the XL size a bit to large for me. I passed it on to my son who is a bit taller than I. I'm forced to order another one in size Large.

Perfect for working when it is chilly or raining. I work outdoors doing highway maintenance all day. This hoodie is my go-to in the cooler weather. It is not too heavy but not too light on chilly days. It also protects from the rain, so I don't get drenched.

Definitely a loose fit for wearing over other bulky clothes. If you want to wear it under a jacket don't get the loose fit. Not quite as heavy thermal as I was expecting from Carhartt. I wear it everyday in wind or rain.

I purchased the hoodie and was hoping it was as good as the previous one.. Unfortunately I was disappointed..it was just as heavy of the fabric but it doesn't have the meshing inside to keep the cold out.. not sure what the hidden pocket is for, not really big enough for anything.. Loved the previous model just disappointed that it's not as good this time. I've been a diehard Carhartt nut for all my life now kinda question on the quality anymore

It is great, keeps me warm but with out the bulk of the lined zip hoodie
