Hi Lee, thank you for leaving us your honest review, we apologize for the inconvenience. The KLIK2U-P2 is a time sensitive keypad, so make sure your light doesn't turn off before going to the next step.
Sometimes your light bulbs will emit interference after a while, try removing them and re program your keypad without the light bulbs on and you will hear a click coming from the light sockets instead of seeing them blink. This model doesn't open the front cover, you need to slide the front up and down. Sorry about any confusion.
