Very nice smoker. It’s a little different than the brink smoker I’ve had for over twenty years and I have to get use to the offset on the smoker.

This char-griller smoker/grill works very well. I’ve smoked ribs and grilled chicken on it so far with very good results.

After my initial seasoning and burn off everything seemed to be great. My first cook was 3 racks of ribs, so my barrel temp was around 225 degrees. The front of the smoker box began to bubble as the paint got "too hot". I contacted customer support and filled out a claim. Ultimately they came back saying that the grill isn't supposed to exceed 400 degrees, and they wouldn't replace anything. So, I have a grill/smoker that isn't supposed to exceed 400 degrees? What is the point of manufacturing a GRILL that can't get that hot? My assumption is that one of the charcoal briquettes fell from the pyramid (as they state in the instruction manual) and came in contact with the outer portion of the smoker box causing it to become "too hot". Additionally, as the charcoal burns down it becomes small enough to fall through the charcoal grate and sit on the bottom of the smoke box. Can you guess what happened to the paint on the bottom of the smoke box? IT PEELED OFF!!! Absolute horrible customer support, and a horrible engineered product.

Love it that i can use it as both charcoal grill and smoker. I will buy another one soon.

From day one, has made the most excellent food. Easy to use. Has the nice feature of the warming plate. Easy to clean and season. Nice grill/Smoker.

I had a great first smoke, and it was easy to put together. A buddy and I put it together in a little over an hour. So far, so good!

The sticker price at HD was seventy above list. Good smoker, solid and sturdy. Roomy grilling space is very roomy but a touch shallow with the plates are about four inches or so above the coals - good for barbequeing but not much room for a pan to keep the drips off the coals. The outboard shelf is large and sturdy with holes for 3 S-hooks and there is a hot plate surface above the firebox. I used bolts instead of hooks. Happy with this smoker.

After 1 use this grill started pealing the finish & rusting. Something we haven’t seen with any other smoker we have purchased in the past with other brands. Also the wood grate warped . Not the quality we expected. Looks like we will be replacing in a year in lieu of many years of smoking with a well seasoned smoker.

The quality seems ok so far. I am having a hard time figuring out how to regulate the heat but I am sure that I figure it out after repeated use. It needs a drain hole for juices that collect in the bottom. Before I use it again I will drill it at the low point and figure out how to hang a bucket under it.

I bought it off the lot at Home Depot and the lid does not seal correctly.

The smoker is smaller than it sales as stated. It’s laking a drain hole for the liquids and fat to drain out as well. Fire box needs to be sealed. Other than that it’s a good smoker for the price

So I picked this smoker up on clearance for around $220, and I think it's absolutely perfect for that price. The good: Assembly was perfect. I'm so impressed at how well holes lined up. No wrestling or drilling required. The metal is nice and thick for what it is. Cooking chamber is long. Not so good: No fat drip spout. Definitely want to drill a hole in the cook chamber so water and grease can drain. Also the paint starts smoking and bubbling off at 400 deg.

Firebox exterior coating peeled up. firebox top door warped and doesn't form a seal anymore, firebox side door latch fused to the side door so can't latch it closed. this damage eas done by a half chimney of charcoal briquettes followed by a 7" pecan log while trying to bring the cooking chamber up to 350°

Used this only twice and the fire box is completely rusted! Paints bubbling and peeling caused everyone to get crook! So much for don't have to worry about peeling paint or rusting! Waste of money this smoker was!

Poor, the paint started peeling on the smoke box during the first grill.

It's exactly what I wanted in a charcoal griller/smoker and it is very well built, I appreciate the sturdiness of it. I am very pleased.

This grill was easy to assemble. Directions say you need 2 people to assemble. I did it by myself in 2 hours. Would have been quicker, but I put the legs on the wrong side, my fault. I opened the box and laid out all the parts. The grill had some residue oil on from factory to prevent rusting, similar to how cast iron pans are shipped. It is very sticky, but that's ok. I haven't cooked on it yet, I've only done a seasoning fire up. Smoke seems like it flows well.
