Good heat retention. Gets hot quickly when combining wood chips. May overcook quickly if not attentive. Otherwise awesome grill. Easy to assemble.

I bought this grill for the convenience of being able to use several types of fuel. It does a good job in that department. I do have two complaints though. The fuel/flavor drawer is tough to pull out. I wish it had ball bearing sliders on it to make pulling it out smoother. My other complaint is the horrible wheels on it. It is very difficult to maneuver around. Other than that, this grill cooks well. I like the adjustable smokestacks. When using charcoal, you can regulate the temperature by turning on the propane which is a nice feature. Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase. It doesn’t do any one thing perfectly but it does do several things well. You are buying this grill for convenience over quality.

I just got it and have only used it once, but I thought the results were great. I used much less charcoal than I usually would, and supplemented with gas. I got the flavor I love, but an overall more efficient process and more consistent heat.

Love the grill except the igniter doesn’t work so we have to pull out the drawer to manually light the burners every time.

I have used pecan chunks and charcoal to cook with. Good Smokey flavor, cooks evenly. Still trying to learn how to cook with the smoker.

I have been using this primarily as a smoker, apart from having to keep checking on the wood chips more often than my last smoker it has been working great. Factor in the convince of being able to grill with this it was well worth the cost.

Overall the Char Griller is a good grill. The multi fuel drawer is light and I believe it will deteriorate early in the grills life span.

Assembly was pretty easy, getting used to cooking with charcoal wood but seems to be working well.

I enjoy my new grill. I like the fact that I can come home after work, decide to grill something and have the pit ready in about 30 minutes. No messing with the charcoal if I don't want to. You can put the charcoal in this pit, turn on the gas for a few to get it lit, then turn off the gas. Charcoal is lit, you have your charcoal flavor on a gas pit; same goes for wood. You can put your log preference in the pit and use the gas to light it, and no muss no fuss. It's lit.

Assembly was easy. One person 40min. Love the features were you can use gas, charcoal, lump charcoal, wood chips and pellets. I’ve used all 5 and love them all.

My honest review... For the last 10 years I've had the Char-Broil Hybrid 3 burner and LOVED it. I bought this grill because I wanted something bigger and the Flavor Drawer intrigued me. It is a cool concept, and it cooks fairly well (better than my old grill only because it's bigger). My real only complaint is that it's much harder to clean, charcoal ash blows all over the grill. It also broke after about 10 uses, but Char-Griller support seems to be pretty good (so far).

Total junk, from construction to zero flame. Flame so low won't leave any grill marks. Essentially, just steams the meat, doesn't resemble any form of grill. Door doesn't close, falls off. If someone offers the grill for free, don't take it!

Its not the fanciest, but delivers on the purpose… easy to put together, easy to use, and makes good grilled food.

I was in the market for. grill and a smoker when the Flavor Pro came onto the scene. I have this unit for over a year and the propane feature of the grill is great, trying to smoke on this thing is a joke. The concept is cool but I have tried 30 different ways at least of trying to regulate the heat for smoking and it's almost impossible. The lid is not sealed very well, there are holes all through the lid. The stacks help a little bit but that doesn't change the other issues. I love chargriller products. I wish I wouldn't spent my money on one of their other products. Hopefully I can snag an offset soon and the Flavor pro will just be my propane grill!

It was great to be able to use charcoal again. Now I have the options that I never had before in one grill.

I love cooking on this with all the options available! Easy to use and so far absolutely no complaints. Haven't owned long enough to see durability over time, so we will see!

Great except for the terrible set up of rollers.... it’s horrible to try to move but love everything else. I suggest purchasing different casters and install them instead of the ones provided when assembling.

We love this grill. Made well. Lots of cooking options.
