It’s so easy to customize, even for my odd shaped closet. I put two systems together and it turned out great, even looks like a pro did it. Not bad for my first time doing something like this!

Turned out fantastic! It comes in several boxes (9 I think) so keep that in mind when you have it shipped. We had it shipped to our local store and it took a few days for all of the boxes to come in. Breanna at the Smyrna Tn store went above and beyond to make sure we received all the pieces!! That said make sure it's all there before you start to install. Was easily customizable to fit our closet needs. Helps if your handy with a saw like my husband. Took about 4 hours or so with all the measuring, cutting, and going up and down our stairs. I love it! Great improvement from builder grade wire shelving.

Can be customized, if you know your way around some tools.

I loved this closet solution I had someone installed for me but I’m super happy with it looks great. I recommend you buy it if you trying to be on a budged.

We ordered 2 kits and they combined all of the pieces in a variety of boxes which made it more complicated to assemble and install. If we had known we would have unpacked every piece first beforehand but we thought they were actually two separate kits sun we started by the boxes and processed that way. The quality is ok, particle board is what it is. These are ok for now but I will probably replace down the road for something of better quality. They do look decent once installed and filled up.

Easy to assemble, sturdy and was able to customize to my space with a few simple cuts to shelves with a table saw (circular saw or hand saw will work as well).

Assuming you are fairly handy, this is a relatively easy to build system. The system is somewhat customizable. I was able to modify the configuration to fit the size of my closet by cutting down a couple of 35"shelves, and hanger rods. All in all, very happy with how this turned out. Great value!

I love the closet system it really was worth it. It arrived earlier than expected and in perfect condition. Definitely read over directions before you tackle this project and have a staging area for all the pieces. I bought 2 closet systems for my closet, one with the corner unit and one without. My husband installed this a little bit at a time over the course of a week in the evening’s. I would definitely recommend this closet system to anyone. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because on the outside facing pieces you can see all the little pre drilled holes, so we are trying to figure out a way to cover them up, other than that it’s fabulous .

Great addition overall to our closet. We replaced the generic, contractor-grade setup that was originally in our home with this system. Took a little getting used to, but once adjusted it went up pretty quickly. I installed it by myself - didn't need two people - over the course of about three weekends (a few hours at a time). You'll definitely need to empty your closet completely beforehand. Some parts of the instructions made me scratch my head, but after reading and re-reading it made sense. Didn't need to use a hacksaw at all, as the entire system fit in our closet. Some pieces arrived slightly compromised or damaged, but weren't unusable. Came in nine boxes total, was able to carry them all (one at a time) into the house.

I was not missing parts. Quality is good until you cut. I would recommend using a new fine saw blade and tape both sides. Cut on the opposite side you plan to use. Also a good recommendation is to layout and if you are a little short like me you can cut down the corner piece to fit the large shelfs. My biggest complaint is that the kit does not come with a jig to pre drill any pieces you cut down.

They can't even print correct instructions with basic math to count holes to mount shelves. Complete junk. Missing shelf pins for corner unit. You are better off building your own. I want all my money back and will put this whole system in the garbage.

A install a bit of work, but WELL worth it

I am so pleased with this system. Everything was delivered earlier than expected in lots of heavy boxes. I downloaded installation instructions from Home Depot site to help navigate all of the individual pieces. Really appreciate that there weren’t any missing pieces and that holes lined up. I had an experienced contractor do the installation and assisted as needed. We needed to cut down the end sections on the long wall to fit my closet, but it wasn’t difficult since my friend had the tools needed for cutting. I would like to give 4.5 stars—just knocking a little off because the top shelves are not fixed, but resting on pegs so does not seem as secure as it could be. Storage galore!

I loooove this closet set. The provided information was exact enough to prep my closet before it arrived. The finished product is gorgeous once completed and filled up. My boyfriend installed this whole thing by himself within a Day, maybe 8 hours total as the directions were somewhat... well, it’s a lot. I definitely think this is worth it for several reasons, this has many places to hang and fold things, some of the pieces can switch positions so that you have a slightly different look than the picture, drawers alone can cost between $50 and 200 easily and many online are cloth, having an option to be able to put this together ourselves but not having to measure and chose wood ourselves saves time and effort that we could put into other renovations in out home, catch it on sale if you can, 800 is always more affordable than 1000 , really, just saving money by getting 1 full set that matches that’ll still hold its value when we sell our home is just beyond worth it. I know people might complain about the price but I’m constantly buying new furniture and storage pieces... those prices add up for sure, this is the easiest and cheapest way, or you can pay a company to do a custom install that’ll costs thousands more.

Easy to customize and install. A lot of storage

We wanted an upgrade from our builder-minimum, single wire shelf around our master bedroom closet, and I wanted one that would allow us to maintain floor space and keep the room nice and tidy. We looked at some other options, but ultimately went with Closet Evolution after reading reviews and looking at buyer photos. The long and short of it--we got faster than expected delivery of 681 pounds (we bought two of the corner units) of closet panels, hanging rods, hardware, and enough cardboard to deforest a small country. The packaging of our kits was very good and we saw no damaged pieces despite there being so many boxes. We were missing one of the main hanging bars (the L-brackets that everything hangs from), but due to our stud configuration, we were able to make it work and even have another bar to spare. We were going to end up with one 12" section empty, so we DIY'd that last section using some of the excess length and we're very happy with the results. Be prepared--this is not an afternoon project. Mainly because, let's face it...your closet is not empty. In fact, it's nowhere near empty right now. That's Step 1 (not in the instructions). It's going to stress you out to empty your closet and find a place to put everything temporarily while you tackle this behemoth. Pro tip: don't put stuff on your bed, because you're going to have at least one night where everything's out of your closet and you're going to have to sleep there. The toughest part for me and my wife was making sure we had the hanging bar arrangement figured out so that we were hitting at least two studs with each section that a vertical panel would rest on. With the whole system hanging from the wall, we wanted to make double sure that we hadn't screwed those into drywall alone and risk waking in the middle of the night to a crashing load of outdated, out of style clothes and otherwise useless closet clutter. Mission accomplished. We started on the project in the afternoon, and we finished the following evening. We cleared out one half of our garage as a staging area, because you (unless you're a Kardashian, and you're not, because you're on Home Depot's website right now) won't have enough floor space to stage it all and then start. We generated a ton of leftover cardboard, end pieces cut off of hanging rods, clothing bars, wood shelves, etc. Another great tip is make sure you take the time to review the tools you'll need before you get started. The only one we couldn't find was a stud finder, but we borrowed one and the job went smoothly. Overall, it bugs me a bit to have the adjustment holes over all the vertical panels, but when you compare this to a California Closet or some other custom solution, I feel like we got a good value. We're moved back into the closet now and I've definitely felt more calm knowing things were in much better order in this room. I've told others that are building houses now to skip the builder closet shelf--it's just more work than a blank room would be. Buy it knowing what you're getting and you'll be happy. And find a good friend to help you. Good luck!

My wife and I recently remodeled our bathroom and closets. We purchased multiple systems for a smaller closet and this system for the bigger one. Installation was actually straight forward but I would highly recommend reading the instructions multiple times and planning out your configuration ahead of time. I had to cut down some of the shelves and rods. Make sure you have good measurements on both front and back in case your walls aren’t square. We also ordered extra shelves (not shown in picture) for the corner unit. It was well worth it. For just under $1400 for both closets compared to what a custom unit would be from other places this was a good buy for the price.

Although it didn’t look bad once mounted, I paid entirely TOO much for it. It’s worth in neighborhood to be $300-$400 dollars. What’s worse was missing hardware. Couldn’t install two out of the three drawers. I called customer service, no good because no one answers the phone so I had to go to the Home Depot store. An associate helped me order the missing screws and knobs and they arrived 4 days later. Again, not worth all this hassle for a $1043 dollar purchase of fake wood and missing parts. I would return it but it’s already mounted ( very heavy and cumbersome) and I resorted to writing this review so buyers are aware of what’s coming. Poor construction, incomplete parts and shoddy material. Thanks Home Depot.

I installed this closet alone by myself, not too hard to do , but yes certainly two peope recommended. It turned out so beautiful and nice, that we feel the wife has less clothes now ... Very well designed concept and easy to install as long as your closet can support it. I did receive different color box and all, but customer service replaced with correct color and all, so at the end all good.

Fairly easy to assemble but must have 2 people to hang and complete. Each unit is a fixed size so to fit in my closet, I had to cut 2 shelves and rods. I don’t feel the toggles are great so try to find a stud if possible.

Very clear instructions and easy to assemble. Had closet done in two hours. Eva my fiancé is super happy.

I had a custom closet team out and their quote was $4k. I got on HD and easily ordered 5 separate units Closet Evolution. My husband and I assembled all 5 with ease and it was so easy to interchange unit elements to make it work for us. It’s solid, beautiful and highly functional. Better than I could have paid someone else to do!

We needed to utilize the space adequately in our master closet. My wife loved the corner shelves. Buying this kit made the most sense for our space. Fairly easy to put together. End result, WE LOVE IT!!!

Directions were simple to follow and great product Couldn't be happier with results and very little trimming or modification. Due to the size of our closet we changed the configuration and went without any issues.

Great closet system. Looks very high end

This worked well and looks great. If you are handy and can do DIY projects, you will be fine. It's nice to have a second pair of hands while putting this together and hanging it up. I think my one complaint is that there weren't more customizable options. I had to buy another corner piece and try to put it all together as best as I could. Again, it looks great. I'm glad I bought it. My closet is way more organized and much prettier to look at. I just wish I had been able to customize what I bought. I ended up not being able to use all of it which felt like a waste...

Missing multiple things even with the new set I had to order

We are amazed by this every time we walk into the closet. The only thing is our closet is not square so I had to do a some adjustments to make it look good. (it went more than wall to wall on one side.)
