Think outside the box and these become even more amazing! Last use was for some did-it-myself cornice boards I made. Wanted them to completely hug the outside of the window molding and fit snug. Post-It to the rescue! On the heaviest cornice board I used 2 on each side, they’ve been up for over 2 weeks and holding strong. I LOVE this product!

I tried to hang a picture using these strips and it fell about 3 minutes after hanging. I followed the instructions implicitly. The only reason I can see for the fail is that the picture which weighs under 8 lbs. was too big and too heavy. Now I have to replace the glass which broke. It is expensive non glare glass. I will have to repair the wood trim around the floor which was damaged when the picture hit it as it fell. I am extremely disappointed and will not be using these products anymore.

Just bought the large Velcro hanging strips - hung my picture went to GENTLY remove it to change photos out of frame and it tore chunks of my drywall off!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these strips all over the house to hang lots of things: pictures, clocks, a TP holder, small area lights and a small motion sensor light. None these items are 3M products, but I always try attaching things with Command strips before any other hanging system. I haven't had a fail yet!

Client used these to hang lightweight garland for Christmas around the fireplace. Pulled the tab to remove and both strips ripped the painted finish off. Thousands to repair.

Im not sure how this got so many 5 star reviews, as my small cheap super light white board, has now repeatedly fallen off my wall every single day this week. I purchased three packs and even tried a brand new pack out of frustration and surprise, didnt hang even an hour before falling. I will be trying to return these items as i purchased more than one package and all are duds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a picture nut!! I have several large heavy framed photos hung with Command strips. They're easy to use and hold up to the weight well. I give a 4 star only because on occasion I find one of my pictures has come ungripped and fallen. About 4 instances in 4 years.

This product did hold my picture in place but when it was removed it took the paint off of my wall!

I was able to mark where I need the canvas, stick the strip on the wall, and then just press the canvas to the sticky backing. They work perfectly!

They are so easy to use, hold up pictures and artwork very well, and don’t leave any damage or marks on your walls. I don’t hang anything any other way!

I bought the Large command strips to hold a 6lb picture frame, and put 2 sets of strips on the frame after cleaning the wall and frame of dust etc. The strips held for a few months and then failed, breaking the relatively expensive frame ($80) and damaging the baseboard in my new home as it fell. I am very disappointed and this is the second time this has happened. The first picture I had fail, happened after a few weeks on the wall. I am staying well below the weight limit and securing them correctly, and feel something needs to be done. At least replace the damaged items.

I used the large strips to hang four photos on my wall. Followed instructions to a T- they did not separate from one another upon removal, rather, left massive gashes in my wall that will require a professional to fix.

I hung a picture frame and hours later, it crashed to the floor, breaking not only the frame but also my marble window sill on the way down. I made the mistake of adhering it to an orange peel wall texture. Having just hung shower curtains on our lanai to help keep the rain out, I tried some strips on them. So far so good.

My picture was hanging for approximately 4 months, followed the directions to a tee, and suddenly today the picture came off the wall along with the paint, I thought the idea was to eliminate damage to the wall.

I created an amazing collage wall from my collection of vintage frames. I followed all instructions because I did not want anything to happen to my collection. Everything was fine for about three months and then they all started falling off. I lost 4 of them before I finally took the whole wall down. It would be fine, except that one of them ripped the paint and plaster from the wall. Now I have to repair the spot and repaint it, plus repair the frame. Awesome. No short cuts people. These things are worthless. Just hammer in a nail.

I followed the instructions 100% Also stayed well within the weight limit per strips used. after around 30 minutes the mirror fell off the wall and broke into pieces, I am so upset.

I started buying these after being charged $1800.00 for nail holes in a house we rented. I LOVE these!

I bought this for Christmas after we remodeled our home so I wouldn't damage the walls. When pulling the tab down to move one of the stockings it took a chunk out of the texture of the drywall. I am so frustrated and scared to remove the others.

After a year of hanging, these strips took my paint right off the wall. I'm not excited about taking the others off.

My wife got these command strips to hang up my diploma frame. It seemed like a good idea, and we did not have to put any holes in the wall. I had always heard that command strips were great, so I figured why not. Then one night, maybe 3 or 4 months after we had put the frame up, we had gone to bed, and I heard this loud crash. I walked out into the living room, and there was my diploma frame lying on the floor. Thankfully, it landed on the carpet, and the glass did not shatter, but my wood frame was completely destroyed. If you have ever bought a frame for your diploma, you know how expensive they are. My frame was within the weight limit at around 3.6 pounds. I would recommend not using this product, as anything you hang on these strips risks falling and being damaged, or in my case, destroyed.

I had lights hanging from these. I went to remove it and the paint stuck onto the command strip. Very unhappy with this product

I mounted a simple 8 X 10 framed certificate on my office wall a year ago with these strips, thinking I'd be able to take it down and move it later when I received more plaques to hang. I was shocked whe, despite my efforts to slowly pull the frame off the wall, it took a huge piece of drywall with it. I was able to cover it with another photo, but I can kiss my security deposit goodbye as it will take a lot of work to repair and paint the damage. This is exactly what I'd hoped this product wouldn't do. I should have gone with nails.

I followed the directions exactly! It wasn't rocket science after all and I always read everything prior to use (it's the military in me.) upon removal, they not only removed my paint, but my drywall as well! I'm very upset, and my husband will be furious when he gets home. This is going cost more than the strips to fix and it's a new house.

I will never buy command strips again, I hung my pictures in our new home using the large ones and the small ones and four of my pictures that I have fell and tore paint off my wall and took my picture down with it, I'll stick to using nails and have a little hole instead of a broken picture and paint missing thank you!

When I went to take down my pictures it literally peeled the paint off my wall. I also used the command strips to hang a picture on the cabinet surrounding my fridge, it managed to peel siding off the cabinet. So much for it being safe on all surfaces. It safely ruined my walls.

Used 4 Large sets to hang a picture frame that weighed less than a gallon of milk. Just fell off the wall this morning completely breaking the frame. Luckily none of my children were nearby. Will never use this product again. The picture had hung there with the strips for close to a year.

I used the strips to hang my grandchildren's initials on the wall. I am moving but could only get one letter off the wall without damaging the wall. Two of the letters ripped the wall board & I now have 3 letters stuck on so tight I can't get them off. I will try getting dental floss behind them to release them but I still have a wall to fix. I am more than a little annoyed.

I had a lovely picture with a command hook secured on dry wall. It crashed off the wall and broke the gorgeous frame and glass into millions of pieces. It chipped off a piece of the travertine hearth as well... Then I tried the command velcro with 4 strips and it would not hold... What should I do now?? I had to have it reframed and put the plastic instead of glass and that would not hold with the velcro.
