Unfortunately I forgot the cardinal rule of commend strips, never, never, NEVER, hang anything that you like or are remotely worried will break. Doesn’t matter if you follow instructions etc. I hung a unique decorated mirror that was around 5 pounds. It lasted all of 6 hours before it dropped and shattered in the middle of the night. I’ve had another hook drop before (also hanging a backpack that was well underweight) so I should’ve known better than to trust Command.

I finally got a picture to hang and try this out, 2mths so far and going strong! We usually display pics tabletop but my sister had a great pic of our nephews at the local playground, so I had the pharmacy add it to canvas, hanger works perfectly with sawtooth hook pharmacies use on these canvases. Stays nice and straight!

Now, these items adorn my office without having to damage the walls with a nail. Plus, my customers get to enjoy the art.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Discover 3M Command Jumbo Universal Picture Hanger to sample for free. The package came with four different pieces to use in hanging one picture on the wall. There is one metal hanger, two sets of stabilizer strips and two mini adhesive liners. The outside of the package has pictures and easy to follow instructions. The picture that I needed hung in our living room was large in which I considered great to use the Jumbo Universal Picture Hanger kit for. Command never disappoints with their adhesive strips, they always hold until I remove them. The only caution on the package is that you should wait 7 days after painting before you use a Command product. This was not a problem for me because we had painted this room a few years ago. Do clean the wall with rubbing alcohol, it preps your wall. This Command Jumbo Universal Picture Hanger is strong enough to hold a picture up to the size of 18” x 24”. They are super easy to use. I have never experienced damage from any of the 3M Command products I have used. And they are super easy to use and remove. I can’t wait to buy more of these 3M Command Damage-Free Hanging Jumbo Universal Picture Hangers. I plan on rehanging the pictures that are already on my walls that I have secured with nails. Command is strong and sturdy and I think their products are well made and do a great job.

I hung a frame for the first time without asking for my husband to unhappily hammer a nail into the wall. The result is beautiful, and he is delighted that there's no hole in the wall!! So easy to use!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical about hanging a plastic frame with a mirror - while it wasn't really heavy, it is awkward but it is hanging perfectly. I have had it up for a week and it is solid.

NAIL BROKE OFF FROM METAL PLATE after a couple of days, bringing down art-work mounted on wall. Frame broke. Luckily was close-by, so was able to hold it before the glass shattered. I had trusted two of these placed adjacent to each other to hold one 7.5 lb artwork, just to be on the safer side. They are each advertised to hold up to 8 lbs. ONLY thing that worked was, being able to remove the broken wall plates without leaving any residue from the wall. Had it been glue that came off, I could have blamed my mounting procedure. But when nail breaks off from the plate - quality of these are a big '?'

I just bought this to hang a bulletin board on our door for our calendar. What a great invention! Easy to put up, looks nice, just what I needed, great instructions and can be used in more than one way. Thanks for such quality products.

I used one of these to hang a painting about 8x18. It held really, so well in fact the plate wouldn't budge. I will now need to repair the wall! Last time I use these.

These things worked great to temporarily hang some artwork for a house staging. I’ll definitely be using more of these. I couldn’t believe all the new command hanger variety.

I purchased this to hang a large painting (5 lb) on my wall. It was not until it arrived when I noticed that in addition to weight threshold (8lb), there are also size restrictions (18"x24"). The latter should have been prominently specified in the product description.

Worked well for hanging a puzzle picture.

Fell off of my wall and broke 1 of the pictures I was hanging up

Very useful and secure. Would like to see this in a multi-pack with about 4 hooks.

I've had many pictures fall and tear my sheetrock. The last picture that fell, the picture frame broke and the actual prong on the plate , that holds the picture broke off the plate and the adhesive tabs tore when trying to pull straight down to remove. It was then very difficult to get the plate off the wall without incurring more damage. I double adhesive most of my pictures and doesn't really help. Buyer beware.

Wanted to hang a clock on the kitchen refrigerator outside cabinet and didn’t want to put holes in the cabinet. The clock weighs over 3 lb. Saw this and it works perfectly.

Can hold a 3 year old kid by underwear for supreme wedgie
