OVERALL: All the tools good to excellent quality. Batteries excellent, lightweight with low profile and good power to the end. Drill issue may be unusual, but takes off one star. Impressive set otherwise. SAW: Great power. Cut through 4x4 with two easy swipes. Guide line a little difficult to visualize, but is adequate once you get used to it. Best portable saw I've used. IMPACT DRILL: Good power for driving and drilling. Able to drive 3 1/2" screw no problem. Good breakthrough power for jobs that aren't too heavy. Good tool. SAWZALL: Nice balance and weight. Lock for blade is very clear and easy to use. Excellent velocity, with even stroke. Used for cutting ends of boards without issue. DRILL:Non functioning on arrival. Tried to get response from DeWalt on arrival through Home Depot, but company was slow responding. Repaired myself, he armature wasn't properly engaged into the transmission, which is a quality control problem. Drill was clearly not tested after manufacture. Once fixed solid drill. LIGHT: Excellent light even at distance. Night testing in back yard, lights up to 100 ft well enough, well focused LED for close up work.

I love this toolkit. First, the bag it comes in is great. When I ordered the kit the bag was an afterthought to me, I was primarily concerned with the tools. However, it really is a great way to store and transport the tools. Roomy and sturdy and with a wide opening. It's nice to have a place to keep the tools that I'm most often using and taking around the house or out of it ready to go. I've been using the drill most of all so far. It's powerful. After years of using a drill that served me well (until finally dying one day) I never considered that I needed something more powerful. But now that I have this one I'm never going back! I love that it's sensitive enough to respond to the amount of pressure I apply to the trigger when drilling. It's great that it has a light to illuminate the area I'm drilling. The worklight is great, too. It's very bright with a large diameter of illumination. It stands upright nicely. All the tools are solidly made and powerful. The batteries charge efficiently and hold their charge. This may sound silly, but I appreciate how well the batteries snap in and then snap out when you need to charge. I've had some tools from other brands where you had to press the sides of the battery and jimmy it just so to get it out but these slide out just as they should. It's great that the kit comes with two batteries, it's key to have one charging and at the ready while you're using the other. The whole kit is great for home projects but rugged enough for a job site. I highly recommend!

This new combo kit from Dewalt has every tool you'll need to get started with DIY or basic Pro tasks on any jobsite. Every tool included is of the usual Dewalt quality we've come to expect and all are Made in USA! Included in the set is a large canvas Dewalt bag, two 20V 2AH batteries, battery charger, drill driver, impact driver, LED light, reciprocating saw and my favorite tool in the set, the 6 1/2" circular saw. All of course run on the 20V batteries only. Each 20V battery pack has a 2 amp hour capacity and the charger is easy to use. Just snap in the pack and forget it until the light tells you it's charged. Each battery has a charge gauge built in. If you need higher capacity batteries you can purchase those separately. Drill Driver: The drill driver comes with a rubber type grip, and feels robust in the hand. It has a 15 position clutch for screw driving, and can be locked into full torque for drilling. The chuck is the standard 1/2" hand operated piece you normally see on drills. This also has a two position transmission for high speed or high torque. The trigger speed is fully variable. I give it a 7 out of 10. Impact Driver: This is a 1/4" impact driver. It accepts 1/4" impact type bits only, as they must lock into the chuck. Variable speed and plenty of driving torque round out this handy tool. It drives in even large bolts with ease. Speed is fully variable with trigger. 8 out of 10 LED Light: I found myself using this quite a bit. It has a footprint the size of the battery pack, and thus even stands up on angled surfaces. The light head can be rotated in any angle you need. The light is VERY bright, much brighter than most flashlights. Being LED it will run an entire day on a battery pack with little to no worry about ever burning out the LED bulb. It also has a handy metal loop for hanging the light on a nail, belt hook, etc. 10 out of 10. Reciprocating Saw: This is the lower end reciprocating saw in the Dewalt line. It's well built, runs with plenty of power, but it's just not up to the build quality of the other tools in the kit. It just doesn't feel as tough. I used it to cut up a few old pallets for kindling and it worked fine, but is lacking a few features and the heavy duty feel of the better Dewalt saws. The shoe is not adjustable on this model. The trigger speed is variable. The blade goes in with ease by use of a lever on the side of the tool. No wrench needed to swap blades. That's very handy. I'll give this tool a 6 out of 10. 6 1/2" Circular Saw: This is by far my most favorite tool in the set. I have used an 18v saw with a smaller blade in the past, and it worked OK, but always left me lacking for power and clean cuts. This 20v saw from Dewalt is night and day different from 18v saws with smaller blades. You wouldn't think that a 6 1/2" blade would make that much difference, but it does. This saw is a beast. It cuts through 2x4s, and any other 2x lumber you can think of. Even treated wood, it just attacks, cuts and keeps going. Straight and true each time. The two handed grip is comfortable and allows you to make very precise cuts. It has a magnesium show with a 90 degree edge, so it doesn't slide up and out of a cut. the shoe is fully adjustable for miter and depth. It has on board storage for the hex wrench to change blades. A Dewalt woodcutting blade is included too. It feels great in the hand, robust and well built. It's the best tool of the entire set. This is a full 10 out of 10 without question. Overall, I recommend this combo kit. All tools are well built and the canvas case is very handy. The reciprocating saw is not the best one Dewalt makes, but it gets the job done without giving up. The drill/drivers feel great in the hand, the flashlight is far handier than I thought it would be. That circular saw, well, I've covered that above and I'll saw it again, it's magnificent. The only thing I'd like to see changed is including the 4AH batteries instead of the 2AH, but the 2AH work well and have a surprising run time for their capacity. You won't be disappointed with this Dewalt combo kit.

Finally a cordless saw worth toting around. I do new construction and power is not always available. Loading and unloading a generator by myself is not an attractive option for small to medium sized jobs like forming concrete porchs and sidewalks or light framing. My 9 year old Nicad was OK and beat hand sawing but having already bought the new 20V drill and impact driver I decided to give this circular saw a try. WOW! What an impovement.

I am just a homeowner and after using this saw with the 4.0 Ah batteries, I had to buy a 2nd one. Saw is very easy to set up. The plate is SOLID, no play at the rear depth connection. Saw is heavier than some, but the extra weight is offset by GREAT balance IMO. This saw rips through wood wether ripping or crosscutting nothing holds this saw back. I was able to cut tons of 2x4's as well as ripping OSB sheets on a single battery charge. Nothing holds this saw back. On my 2nd one I have the 40 T blade and the saw handles it like nobodies business. This saw should be your MAIN tool. It certainly is mine. I only use my corded saw for major work this saw cant handle. Which isnt much (long bevel cuts in 2x4 stock) The markings are accurate. Easy to cut straight. Worth every dime and then some. Better than some more expensive corded saws...

After shearing through the cord of my beloved 'other' brand. I decided to go cordless with the Dewalt 20v. I read reviews on the internet and also purchased a 40 tooth saw blade. The saw cuts like "butter", and leaves a baby smooth finish. The best part of all is; I just reach into my tool bag and start cutting, NO extension cords. This fact alone makes this purchase a winner!I am so impressed that I am soon ordering the 20v jigsaw soon. (don't tell my wife).

Worst dewalt purchase i have wver made would not recommend ever and i have 5k in dewalt tools

It's great for home jobs. I am very happy with it.

Saw blade locking mechanism is terrible, also trying to tighten the blade down is a nightmare.

The battery is a bit disappointing. It goes on empty within a few uses. The Saw is strong.

Does everything well as expected, but safety is of poor design. Seems unnatural to use.

Each tool has exceeded my expectations. I have extremely happy with the entire kit.
