Good functionality and clamping pressure but the locking mechanism can be a little difficult for one handed operating for everyone. I’d buy more.

As others have said the release is a little fiddle until you back the screw off enough, beyond that the clamp operates as it should

These clamps are easy to use. There are no notches on the bar so the clamping mechanisum slides free back and forth on the bar. The tighting knob has a longer threaded shaft which makes clamping a little easier than other clamps on the market.

I returned this. Despite how tight I turned the lock-down handle, it would not lock up in place. DeWalt builds great products - this was not one of them.

This bar clamp is awesome. It is very good for small or big project!!!.

I was in my Home Depot today looking for parallel clamps. (I am always looking for more clamps) I didn't see my usual trusted brand (Bessey). I couldn't help but notice the Dewalt parallel clamps. They looked impressive, sturdy, and the price was right. I took one down thinking that I would buy one and test it out. It was heavy, as most parallel clamps are, the bar was smooth and the jaws looked very hefty. It had a sticker on it that said 1500lbs of force. I squared the jaws and started to tighten. The handle felt good in my hand and allowed for a firm grip. I noticed that it took almost half of the acme screw before resistance was felt. This could be a concern, but not completely a deal breaker. I applied moderate pressure and it seemed to hold pretty well. I decided to back it off and see if I could manually reposition the cross bar to get it to bite quicker. As I started to retighten, I noticed that the handle was no longer aligned with the acme screw. I first thought that the grip was coming loose from the screw, but a closer inspection revealed that the acme screw had bent. I couldn't believe it. With only moderate pressure applied?! I have always been a fan of Dewalt. My miter saw, table saw, and circular saw are black and yellow and I have no complaints. I also have several Dewalt bar clamps that work great, but this clamp is not up to par. I don't own a Dewalt parallel clamp, and after seeing this one, I won't. It's unbelievable how this product has good reviews

I have just started getting more into cabinet building. Needed some clamps and these were a really good price on sale. I have to say even after using a few different brands and a few different styles of clamp that the Dewalts are pretty good. I would definitely recommend these.

They were under the tree yesterday for my oldest son to open, he was pumped, he told me that there the best clamps he has, he put them to use last night and they work great.

I'm fortunate enough to have a Home Depot that carries these and they do not disappoint. I like that there is no notches on the bar which makes for easy cleanup. Plenty of clamping force and a bit cheaper than the alternatives. Recommended.

I bought two and the functionality was different right away, with one being much looser and harder to handle than the other. They were they only ones on the shelf so i bought them against my better judgement. For the price I'd expect much better handling and more consistent clamping. Either one was defective, broken in the store or possibly even returned and put back on the shelf. I used them for a project and with much fiddling i got them to work but i definitely wouldn't buy them again or recommend to others.

This is an excellent 24 inch parallel bar clamp that is a pleasure to use. The clamp has a 3 3/4 throat and has rocking action to adjust the length and then push forward to hold the piece and then twist to apply pressure. This is when this clamp really shines because of the parallel heads it applies up to 1500 pounds of pressure equally to the full throat of the clamp. No raising or bowing of your pieces as you apply pressure, the work pieces stay perfectly flat. This is a great quality of a parallel bar clamp. It does make the heads a little heavier and bulky but the end results are worth the extra weight. This is an excellent clamp.

This DeWalt 24 in. Parallel Bar Clamp exceeds the previous parallel clamps I've used for the past 20 years in strength, versatility and value. I find they are also easier to adjust, have a wider range of clamping clearances, clamp surfaces are more durable and offer a larger application of force area. The quick release bar tabs allow for easy clamp assembly reversals to give an equal and evenly distributed separation or outward clamping force. In all, I find it to be a well designed and powerfully implemented joinery tool for the woodworker!

I had a chance to compare these to some Irwin parallel clamps that I already had in my collection. These are pretty much identical other than the color and the handle. I like the ones that I already have with very few exceptions. The biggest complaint would be that if you tighten the clamp down far enough it will leave little knicks in the bar. I have not had any issues with this causing my panels to be not flat or leaving scratches on my project, but I guess it is possible. If any of those knicks were big enough, I would just knock it down with a file and it would be gone in about two strokes. I do really like these clamps, and for they price I think they are some of the better that you can get. Now there are other "high end" products that do the same thing but maybe have some more features, but the clamping force you can put behind these and the cost make them a clear choice for me. I can buy two of these for the price of one of the high end brands. Dewalt is known for making some quality products, and I think these stay true to the name. I will likely pick up some of the 48" as well when they are in stock at my local store.
