Worthless

I bought an identical set from a different manufacturer. Screws are made from hardened metal. These extractors are not. The drill bit end wore out on first use without making a useable hole for the extractor end to work in. It looked like it might be deep enough, by wasn’t. The extraction end did not bite and it too stripped out. These are pure junk. Don’t waste your money on Dewalt extractors or any other brand that looks the same as these.

lasted just a few uses.

I purchased this in July this year. I used it on some small stripped screws. It worked well. I went to use it on a TV bracket screw at work and it snapped off the head on one of the bits. Returned to THD for credit. I could have also contacted DeWalt but did not want to spend forever getting it replaced. Won't buy Dewalt bits again.

Snaps like glass

Looks nice!...and that's about all the positives for the product. If you have a screw that is stuck tight, the bit will snap surprisingly easily. Very disappointing for $16.

Worked after making a minor adjustment

Initially I was having trouble removing the screw with these bits. When using the "extractor" end of the bit, I was spinning the drill too fast so it wasn't catching. The second thing I was doing wrong was putting too much pressure on the drill while trying to extract. Using light pressure, along with the lower speed, allowed the bit to catch and back the drill out.

woefullly inadequate

I bought these to remove stripped screws in my wooden deck boards. After reading several of the reviews that said the extractor broke when using I hoped they would work. NOPE, the #2 bit broke on the first screw I used it on. I DO NOT recommend.

absolute garbage!!! Every bit in the set broke immediately

Broke on first screw

The extractor end broke off on literally the first screw I used these on. Dewalt is normally pretty good but I would save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand of extractors

Worked great the first 5 times, then broke

Like the title says, these worked great on the first 5 screws, then busted off while backing out the 6th screw. So that works out to about $4 per screw. Since I have about 100 screws to remove, the economics just don't work.

I read the instructions and used slow speed and torque and it worked the first time around. If you don't have a variable speed drill this will not work for you.

Worked only after babying the third bit after the first one broke. I was lucky and able to use the larger bit to extract the screw. The correct size bit broke as soon as I tried using it.
