Very good for work.

This nailer has been great to use so far. Although plenty sturdy in its build it is well balanced without being overly heavy, helping to limit user fatigue. I have not experienced any misfires as far as nails getting stuck or not firing. The kickback however is rapid so make sure that when you pull the trigger you simply "flick" it quickly. If you hold the trigger down you will more than likely fire an additional nail when the tool recoils back onto the project surface. Unless you are well versed with other nailers, do yourself (and your project) a favor by practicing on some scrap wood first. Alternatively, the serial fire option can allow you to work quickly by keeping the trigger depressed and "bumping" the nose of the tool along..the reliability of this technique will depend both on the air supply and your technique. The only negative I have is minor. The nailer requires a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into its air inlet prior to each user (or every five hours of prolonged use) but a bottle is not included...you can find it at The Home Depot for a few dollars. Also the intake is 3/8" meaning that you will need an adapter/reducer to 1/4" and connecting plug for another few dollars. Total should be less than $10 for everything but still annoying if you have to run back to the store. Overall I am very very pleased with this high quality reliable nailer.

This is a great quality pneumatic nailer. Very powerful. The first impression of the tool is that of many other Dewalt tools. It feels and looks rugged, sturdy and durable. The nailer uses a quick-disconnect fitting with 3/8” thread instead of 1/4”. Oil needs to be applied to the unit which may be an inconvenience for some. There are not as many options for 28 degree nails in my local Home Depot, but I am sure that will change soon, with the re-introduction of this product. The tool includes features like depth control and sequential actuation mode. The second feature is very useful when working jobs that require lots of nails. The tool can also be used with the bump setting, which allows the fire of 1 nail per trigger pull. I am also very pleased with the ergonomics of the gun. It is well balanced and the weight is adequate for this kind of tool. There is a hanger on the tool that comes in handy when resting is necessary. I would recommend!

Gun worked ok, but not what I'd expect from Dewalt. The nose piece was loose, and the depth adjustment was klunky. Adjusting depth was not satisfactory. Gun was heavier than my older Bosch. Trigger was more finicky, and the nose piece was awkward for 45 degree toe nailing. Sending it back.

I've used this framer for a while now and the "depth-of-drive" adjuster is hard to use on the fly. Not for quick adjusting. Otherwise the tool is what I expected: average.

Gift came but in original box on porch for everyone to see what was delivered

This has been a great nailer. I did have some trouble running it when the temperatures dropped below 0 degrees Celcius and that is why I dropped the rating to a 4 instead of a 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this tool to help build some stairs and frame in a storage room in my barn. The nail gun performed flawlessly and cut my work time by more than half. Almost all my power tools are DeWalt and I have never regretted a single purchase.
