I have never used this brand before, but it was in stock and I was here. Needless to say this is like using notebook paper to sand with. I used at least twice as much as any other brand I have ever used!!!! The sheets are unbelievably thin.... Highly disappointed with this product!!

The grit side works really well for those hard jobs but the side that grips the Velcro on the orbital sander wears out too quickly so you are left with an almost new disc because it will no longer stick to the Velcro.

These are great sanding pads and work perfectly with our Ryobi 5" orbital sander. If the surface is dry, the pads don't clog and last quite a while. We bought them primarily to sand some new cedar and pine wood and 4' x 8' siding panels for a porch project. The pack we bought had some 'bonus' pads in it including a new backing pad which helped strengthen the adhesion of the existing hook and loop backing pad on our sander (which was getting a bit worn). Consequently, we didn't experience too many pads flying off while in use. I have tried other brands of sanding pad from HD's competitors and they just don't seem to stick to the sander as well as these Diablo pads do. Our porch was pretty big at around 500 square feet and we still had pads left over after we'd sanded all the beams and rafters as well as around 370 square feet of T1-11 siding that we used for the roof deck. Subsequently we've used them to sand down a dresser that we bought from the local Goodwill store and upcycled and they work just as well removing paint and stain as they do sanding down bare wood. We were so impressed with their performance that we recently bought a pack of 60 grit pads for a job we were doing to paint an exterior porch floor.

When I used this prior to installation of the Home Depot plywood beadboard, it was the final smoothing after using 100 and 150-grit sandpaper on the bare surface. This proved to be the best prep prior to applying two coats of Varathane Gloss, which I lightly sanded between coats with 320-grit sanding discs. The resulting high-gloss lustre is a very pleasing finishing touch to the project and gives a shiny, somewhat raised grain appearance to the otherwise plain-looking beadboard. This sandpaper worked really well with my new sander (old one died halfway through the project). This paper and my new sander made quick work of my project. Highly recommend!

This product performed poorly in compared to similar sanding disc like Dewalt. The difference was very noticeable as I stepped through an 80-grit Dewalt, 100 grit Diablo, 120 grit Dewalt sanding session with vacuum on soft plain sawn pine.

Nicely packaged, easy to use. I intend on buying these and only these for future projects

After putting on a coat of sanding sealer, I use the 220 grit Diablo 5 in. sanding disc for a smooth fine finish before I put on my final finish coat. My wall art came out very smooth.

That worked great ,I re-did my kitchen cabinets and the screen sanding disc wrer amazing.

I got this pack of 60 grit disc to work on sanding an oak table down that I was building. They hold up really well and last quite a long time. Overall, I am impressed and will use them in the future.

these Diablo sanding discs work great.

I go through 50 discs weekly. Diablo is the best brand I've used so far with price and durability as key factors

I have been using Diablo 5 in. 220 orbital sanding disc for about a year. The sand paper holds up well and usually last much longer than other brands making it more economical to use over time. The item in the picture was sanded with Diablo 5 in. 220 orbital sanding disc and the person who received the item mentioned how smooth the finish was.

I find Diablo sand paper for my belt sander, orbital and Corner Cat sander out preforms any of the other brands I have tried. I used it to sand these shadow boxes I made this weekend

I use Diablo 5" random orbit sandpaper with my Ridgid Gen5x 18 volt cordless 5 inch random orbital sander and it works great, I use 100 grit to shape and remove imperfections and then 220 grit to smooth the surface and prepare it for finishing, everything from stain, clearcoat to paint and it always provides an excellent smooth surface for the finish to be applied to, also my Ridgid sander has an 8 hole pattern but the Diablo papers universal hole pattern works great and with it I get excellent dust collection. I have found the Diablo sand paper to be very durable and each sheet lasts a long time which saves me money so I appreciate that! Diablo 5" Sanding discs quickly remove surface material, are affordable, last a good amount of time between disc changes, and gives a high quality "Furniture Finish". I've been using these discs for many years for making Cabinetry and for sanding the interior walls of our Log Home. I highly recommend this product!

I use several grits of sanding disc so I wanted to give Diablo a try against the ones I've been using. The Diablo is a well built sanding disc the only con would be the dust holes on the disc. In an effort to make the Diablo versatile they punched a variant of holes to fit 5 hole and 8 holes sanders. I have a 5 hole orbiting sander. The holes in the Diablo are two different sizes. To align the Diablo to my sanding pad I had to use both size holes on my hook loop pad. The small holes of the sanding disc partially blocked the large hole of the hook loop pad. I felt I lost some dust pickup because of this. The overall construction of the disc is great. The "loop" held firmly to my sanders "hook" even when used on aggressive grain wood. The sand grit seems to stay sharper and clogs less then my regular sanding disc. The photos included show sanding of pine and western cedar. My usual disc is used on the right side and the Diablo on the left side. So, outside the issue with the dust hole the Diablo is a great sanding disc.

This paper worked great , I have several sanders all with different vaccum hole patterns this work well with all of them. The paper lasts as expected with typical build up depending on what your sanding. Old paint seemed the worst build up , hard wood the paper just wore out after a decent amount of use. Opening the package was about the worst part of this product , although having a package that is able to be re-sealed is nice.

These sanding discs left a nice finish on a couple of large wood projects I had. On hardwood and pine stock, the discs lasted fairly long. The finish was smooth and worked fast. On rougher material - specifically, OSB - the discs did not last as long. That is to be expected, however, on such rough material. The velcro backing is strong, and holds fast. I removed and repositioned most of the discs I used, and the velcro backing still held fast. For the price of these sanding discs, it is hard to beat them for value and performance.

I've always been very pleased with Diablo cutting and sanding products and these discs are no different. I've downright abused these things working on a recent project. I kept thinking "I'll change discs soon" but just kept going and they kept working. The hook and loop attachment is really good and I experienced little to no clog issues with oak, pine, and even finishing urethane. Edges have frayed a bit, but I credit that to my misuse more than anything. Love these things.

Applying the disk to the sander was easy enough, lined the holes and started sanding. Once the sanding started the disk didn't slip or move. The sanding was flawless as depicted in the picture. Removal of the disk at the start out was reasonably hard because of the “Hook and Lock” system, but once you're able to start taking it off, it became easier without any damage because of the flexible makeup of the disk.

These sanding discs leave a great finish and work pretty well with my Hitachi 5" 8-hole sander. Right out of the box, I slapped one on my sander and went to work finishing a 20" x 24" sheet of plywood. The edges of the plywood had a bit of Polyshades residue on them that had dripped down when I finished the top. I was expecting the discs to have a hard time with this, but they didn't gum up at all! The end result was a smooth, stain-ready surface. The hook and loop backing can handle being removed and applied several times without any adverse affects on its adhesion. The discs last a long time and really hold onto their grit too. They're also pretty reasonably priced for a name-brand product when bought in the bulk 50-pack. Diablo definitely hit it out of the park on durability and performance with these. However, I do have one complaint. The "universal" hole design doesn't seem to allow my sander to collect as much dust as with a standard 8-hole disc. I noticed a slight dust cloud building up while using them the first time, and decided to run a few back to back tests with another brand of 220 grit discs that have an 8-hole configuration. Sure enough, running a new disc of the other brand resulted in the sander collecting almost all of the resulting dust. So either the Diablo discs are so good that they remove stock that much faster (unlikely), or they don't allow the sander to get sufficient air flow through the holes. This makes sense, since the "universal" hole configuration has nearly 40% less hole area than the standard 8 hole configuration. So in conclusion, these are great sanding discs with the exception of dust collection. If Diablo came out with separate 5-hole and 8-hole discs, they'd get 5 stars from me.

Purchased 100 / 150 / 220 grit hook and loop discs for the wing wood work on my Skybolt. The hook and loop feature makes switching grits a breeze. Diablo makes a high quality, durable disc that quickly produced an even, smooth surface ready for the epoxy varnish. The 50 unit pack option is a great cost reducer.

5 IN. 120-GRIT UNIVERSAL HOLE RANDOM ORBITAL SANDING DISC WITH HOOK AND LOCK BACKING (50-PACK) are the best for the money. I am a Bathtub Refinisher and I use them every day on my jobs sanding down bodyfiller. They hold up longer then Gator Disc from Lowe's.
