Delta 5.94 In. Long Pull-up Diverter Tub Spout in Chrome
I did have some difficulty with threading the 1/2 x 3/4 plastic adapter it onto the copper fitting from the house supply despite cleaning the threads. Using pipe thread sealant a.k.a. pipe dope made the applicaon much easier. Delta supplied Teflon tape however, a small amount of the pipe dope worked best as a lubricant. Grab a brush full of pipe thread sealant and wipe it right on top of the Teflon tape. Then assemble the fittings.

OK...not great
I replaced an old spout from my shower that the diverter broke on, and it was all metal, with copper fittings inside. I wish I could take it apart and fix it, this unit works, but it is all plastic and I was afraid to tighten it as much as I'd like for fear that it would crack. So far, so good.

Easy Peasy
The spout in my tub needed replacing. I am no DIY type, but all I had to do was unscrew the old spout, then screw on the new one. The old shower hose screwed right onto the new side thingie. Works great!

Plastic insides!!!
I placed a special order for this product, since all the ones on the shelf had a plastic tub diverter, and this one had a metal diverter. Little did I know until I received it that the insides are plastic. I returned this product twice, because the plastic broke.

Looks nice, but will be returning it.
I ordered this to replace an existing (tub only) spout of the same length which threads from the front (farthest from the wall).
However, the diverter connection in this spout takes approximately 1" extra, thus, not fitting flush to the wall by about 1". (gap from end of tub spout to wall, due to the extra ~ 1").
This is fixable if you want to cut your existing plumbing pipe. However, I was looking for a solution to add a shower without having the pain of cutting/adding any plumbing. So, I will be returning this item.
