Bought 2 of this for a shower and a tub, the one with the tub did not come with the adapter. I called customer service and they said it does come witha built in adapter. I ended up buying a different spout with an adapter.

My grandmother wanted a new shower valve for her house because the old one broke. She wanted something simple and easy to use that also looked nice so I chose this model. The valve body is solid brass and the cartridges are compatible with all Delta MultiChoice trim kits and cartridges. The tub spout connector is solid brass and well designed to not require an exact length nipple. While the body of the tub spout as well as the cover plate are plastic, these parts are not under any stress and can easily be replaced if they fail. The valve was easy to install, I was able to complete the plumbing in about three hours. I used expansion PEX and copper tubing for the rough in.

Disappointed. Do not recommend. For $100, this is middle of the road pricing at Home Depot. I was surprised to see the bath tub faucet & handle are both plastic. The description says the product is “chrome plated” it is not, it’s plastic. There’s no weight to either piece. Feels flimsy & looks cheap. Do not waste your money, either save the $30 and know going into it that you are buying the cheaper tub/ faucet option that advertises accurately as plastic OR spend more and make sure handle and faucet are made out of heavy weight quality materials that are better. Very disappointed, stuck with DELTA now bc our contractor already installed the valve. Will be replacing with a trim kit ASAP. (Which will triple the cost of this shower project — wish I would have known that .... bc then I just would have bought a high end one From the beginning)

Being a DIY person and having no idea how to tackle a project like this, Delta made it very easy to install. The directions were very clear and made it very easy. I swear by Delta!

We are converting some 3 handle PF showers to a 1 handle Delta. The Classic is one of their lower lines but they are for rentals. Delta's build gives us the long lasting quality we need but read on. The quality of Delta's core is good, but they use cheap materials for the tub spout and the shower head. Shower head, I don't really care about since we have a bunch of 1.5GPM shower heads to save water since we pay the water bill for the apartment. The tub spout, we threw away and got a stainless steel screw on one. I hate the push fitting ones with the rubber washer provided and never use those. Do yourself a favor and have the plumber put on a brass or copper nipple(measured correctly) so the new tub spout can just screw on. Since we did have to convert from a 3 handle to 1 handle, we had to buy an aftermarket face plate to cover up the two holes as seen in the picture. The two worked well together.

Shower gets hot, kitchen sink in line before and bathroom sink in line after the tub all get hot, just not the water coming out the tub spigot. I have a tankless water heater, so I shouldn't be having a problem. I'm glad I haven't re-tiled that wall yet, because I'm going to replace this piece of cheap crap with a two handle system so I don't have to fill my bath from my shower head!

Not enough instructions when using as a replacement shower.

The mounting of the valve is not optimal for future removals as it mounts from the front. Make sure to have at least 1” thick wall as the screws for the faceplate will hit the attachment for the assembly if it is any smaller. This will not allow for tight seal. Decent for a complete redo but would not want to install this if I was just changing out the fixtures.

Purchased products as part of our bathroom remodel. Very pleased with how they helped put the finishing touches on our new bath.

From my perspective, the single handle is good because there's less parts for failure. The value is an excellent improvement for what was replaced. I got to get use to operating the single for setting the temperature.

The directions are generic and hard to follow. there were also two pieces the directions said we needed that were not included in the box.
