I bought this faucet in two different finishes for four different bathrooms and I am having the same issue on all of them. There’s a black plastic piece that delta claims should fit inside the faucet but does not and can not physically fit inside . It shows on all of them when installed. It does not show this in any of the photos online and it makes the faucet looks cheap.

Within less than a year, this $400 faucet is starting to chip. Unbelievable.

We have the champagne gold in our new primary bath & some of the pieces you can barely tell are gold. They look nickel. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I ordered this in April and installed early June, one out of 5 faucets was defective. Beautiful faucets, would’ve rated 5 stars if Delta would have just replaced defective Faucet. Instead I’m waiting for replacement parts for at least 3 weeks...

We chose this faucet because it matched the other hardware we had picked out for the bathroom. We like the height of the faucets and the simple, clean design. We've had them for a month - and so far so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Delta faucet was perfect for our new bathroom vanity. It has two widespread handles. We didn't need very many tools to install it. Came with easy to read complete instructions. Top is shiny , bottom is brushed chrome. The finished look was great.

The faucet fit my 4" centers and looks great

This is the second Trinsic we have installed. We liked the first one so much (in oiled bronze, installed almost a year ago), when we remodeled the second bath we decided to get another Trinsic, this time in chrome. We like how smoothly the valves function and the style works great in any decor. Installation took about 30 - 40 minutes, and was easier this time with the counter top separate from the vanity to get the valves and spout nice and secure. I had to redo the drain as there was a gap in the silicone between the drain and sink that leaked like a sieve. No problem to correct, just took it apart, pulled out all the old silicone using a razor blade and started over but used ALOT of silicone the second time. Dry as a bone.

The Trinsic 8 inch widespread faucet by Delta is a well made, solid feeling faucet. The matte black finish is perfect and was exactly what we were looking for. Easy installation.

Bought it a couple of months ago for my powder room. Love it! Solid piece, not cheap feeling. Nice colour as well, it isn’t too brassy and it has a nice matte finish.

I recently purchased this faucet for our main level powder which is the most used bathroom in the house. We all love the look of the faucet and how it has turned our dated bathroom into a more contemporary space. I would highly recommend this Delta product!

Stunning widespread faucet. From the finish to the weight to the sturdiness to the design, this faucet is a winner. My contractor installed during my master bathroom renovation so I cannot speak to that point, but I heard no complaints from him after he was finished with installation.

It is perfect for my sink with 4 inches spread holes . Love the smooth lever handles and the goose neck faucet, a great modern classic.

This is probably the best looking faucet I have seen and it functions very nicely. Unfortunately I chose to install it in the wrong application - my countertop has a narrow hole spacing (4" between hot and cold) - so cleaning between the handles will be a challenge - that's my fault. I agree with another reviewer that the popup is a bear to install. In my case, I have a small area, so feeding the curved rod through the openings was a challenge. I ended up bending the parts to make the fit, then bent them back to about the right shape. I also saw where one person complained about the water supply lines - he apparently did not read the directions - you are supposed to loop the lines, so there really is no issue here. It is a 1-1/4 drain, so I needed an adapter to fit it into my existing 1-1/2 line - this was not a problem, but I point this out in case someone else has this situation. I would definitely buy this faucet again for an upscale installation.

Having purchased and installed several Delta faucets in the past, I was excited to try the Trinsic faucet in my bathroom. It has sleek, modern, and frankly unusual lines, which I thought would at least be interesting. And being among Delta's more expensive product lines, I knew it would also be high quality. As with all faucet installations, the hardest part was probably uninstalling the old faucet, which had been put in by a previous owner. If you haven't uninstalled a faucet before, be prepared for it to take some time! Once I got to the point of installing the Trinsic faucet, things went relatively smoothly...until the end. The instructions suggest installing the handles and spout first, before doing the drain, and bolting each one down. The problem with installing the spout without the drain, however, is how hard it is to get the pull rod through the clamp area if you've clamped it down without the rod installed. Very likely, you'll end up cutting off the path for the pull rod. I suggest you install the spout with the rod inserted through the faucet, but not connected yet to the drain. Other than a bad shut-off valve in my existing installation that made this a very wet undertaking, the rest of the faucet and handle installation went fine. It will help to have a second person holding the spout and handles as you tighten them underneath the cabinet to keep them centered (especially the spout - that's almost impossible to keep centered in the hole without someone holding it). You can always twist them a bit by hand afterwards to get them oriented correctly, but you won't be able to center them after tightening them down. The next issue I had wasn't so much a problem as something I think Delta should do at the factory - sealing the tail piece for the drain. If you read the instructions carefully, you'll see that you actually have to disassemble the drain before installing it to wrap the tailpiece in teflon tape. Just for the heck of it, I tried installing it without tape, and it immediately started leaking once I ran water through it. I've seen this on cheaper faucets, but on one in this price range, I don't think the installer should have to disassemble anything to get it prepped for installation. If it comes in the box assembled, it should be ready to use. Finally, it came time to connect the pop-up drain to the pull-up rod, which had caused problems earlier, as mentioned above. Well, this is where it all fell apart. Three things conspired to make it impossible to connect, and two are Delta's fault, in my opinion. The first factor was out of Delta's hands, and this was the large basin I have, with a center-mounted drain. That placed the drain fairly far away from the spout base. But the design issues that Delta must not have considered were two-fold: (1) the pull-rod is curved, meaning that it actually points away from the drain once installed into the faucet. (2) the spout anchor bolt is directly centered in front of the pull-rod hole, making it absolutely impossible to spin the rod around in order for it to point towards the drain. This is a major design oversight - there's just no reason the anchor has to be centered, and in fact I've installed other Delta faucets with the anchor offset, for just this reason. In the end, this wasn't even a close call - there was no way to connect the pop-up drain assembly to the pull-up rod. They ended up being about 6 inches apart (see picture). Again, part of the problem was my basin design, but I think Delta's designers got ahead of their engineers with this faucet, because the rod and anchor designs simply don't work well together. Now, this doesn't mean I can't use the faucet, and indeed, it looks fantastic, as it's entirely made of a beautiful stainless steel (and even the drain is all metal), and the sleek lines are very eye-catching. The action of the handles is nice, although there is a surprising amount of dead zone before the water actually turns on (I believe this can be adjusted, but I didn't bother). One other thing to mention - as shown in the photos, the stream of water is very narrow, which was probably part of Delta's design approach with this faucet. If you like a wide, bubbly, aerated flow, you won't find it with this faucet, but it does make for an elegant appearance when the water is running. Overall, I am very pleased with the look of this faucet, but I suspect that I won't be the only person to have trouble making the pop-up drain assembly work, and that's a shame.

Great looking unit! Top quality could not be easier to install. I made the mistake of buying an Italian made shower tub combo for my new bath. Not happy I looked for a US made name brand faucet to match, I found the Trinsic model to look very similar, but the quality is worlds better, and support too!

The build quality of the Delta Trinsic faucet is good; however, the assembly directions were poor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Faucet has a great sleek modern look to it. It adds a lot to the bathroom. It runs smoothly, hasn’t given me any issues and it is also very easy to apply to the bathroom sink. There is no rusting at all.

I love the design and fish of the Trinsic faucets. The Delta bronze finish is, by far, my choice when comparing manufactures. But…the drain lift assembly is terrible in design and not functional. The drain pull behind the faucet is on an angle and leaves almost no room when pulled before hitting the wall. It’s also very stiff and the finish was scraping when testing. The angle will NOT allow the drain pull to function if there is a backsplash installed. A verticals pull would work, but not the angled pull. I will have to look for a different drain plug to install, and it won’t match the Delta finish (unless Delta makes one). Simple design error that shouldn’t happen. I would give the quality and finish 5 stars, but function comes first…

Clean and simple lines. Flawless matte black finish, smooth operation. Bought one 2 years ago for our hall bath. Still looks new. Bought 2 more for our primary.
