I was looking for something for a particular project and asked a Home Depot employee where I could find something that solved my problem. He recommended Durham Water Putty. Well I had never heard of it but what I did like is that you mix the powder with water into a putty and apply it to what you need o. Oh my gosh, it worked fantastically and what’s even better it won’t dry out like the plastic wood and other such products. Thank you to having good employees that are familiar with your products, Home Depot

I use this product for some outdoor repairs rather than using just caulk. It’s easy to use. It sets up well, and it paints over easily.

Value and many uses !
I use this mainly to fill in blown out or relocated strike plate holes in door frames and fill nail holes in wood trim. Yes it is messy to mix. I have found to mix it in a sandwich bag , add powder, add water and get the consistency you need, knead it around , force to a corner of the bag and snip off a very small amount of the corner. Use it like a cake frosting piping bag. Works better for my needs compared to canned wood filler. Old School is the best sometimes !

Saw this recommended on a video, so I tried it...
Saw this recommended on a video, so I tried it although I'm a novice @ DIY. It was easy to mix (it's a powder), apply and it dries quickly. After sanding and painting, a large defect in a wood frame looked almost new! Great stuff.
