Color is great...and the cut is finer than the vigro....

While inside the garden area loading (12) bags of RED mulch I sat the first few aside as they were torn open. And then the next bag leaked about a quart of RED rusty water down my leg, white sock and into very expensive running shoes. I beckoned a staff person for assistance and he along with two others said I should pull up outside and they would load (12) bags for me. While they saw the shape my left leg was in no mention was made that my clothing and shoe were effectively ruined from red stain. Outside they loaded (12) bags of RED mulch from one previously untouched skid with the wrap still around it. A week later I cut open the top of about five or six bags to find only (2) were RED. The others were brown. Having already experienced damage to my clothing this was just the icing on the cake. I just was not inclined to tape up the open bags, return to store and likely repeat the same event of being on the receiving end of poor service and extremely bad packaging by Scotts.

The day before I went to purchase this mulch I had spent about four hours on various web sites and Home Depot reading reviews on this mulch. I was more than happy on how everything turned out. The color was very nice and rich looking. We put about 2-3 inches of mulch on the area we cleaned up and couldn’t be any happier. I had read multiple reviews saying that the color was inconsistent and I did not experience this in my case. All the mulch was very nice and red, no different shades or black pieces in the mix. The mulch did change colors from coming right out of the bag versus sitting a few minutes, once the project was done the colors were the exact same. So they didn’t dry uneven or anything like that. My two dogs love it so far! We haven’t noticed any irritation in their paws or under coat. We have a few more areas to clean and mulch up and we will differently be getting more of Earth gro by Scott’s Red mulch to help make the area look nice and clean and better than it was before!

The product met my needs. I buy the same red mulch every year for front and back yard.

It's mulch... it's red... it looks great! The color does fade by the next year and we put more on top to give it a fresh look.

The color is great but at this altitude and with our uv it doesn't last long. The mulch works great as well to help with weeds.

Very good product. Used in the back yard to cover a bank that I have artichokes on. Easy to apply and covers a lot of area. Was on sale for a very good price, what a bargain. Ended up buying more for my front yard flower beds. Helps to keep the weeds down as well as keep the ground moist longer.

Bought at two separate times. Colors varies slightly and the size pieces also. Make sure you get them all at the same time off the same pallet. Color did fade some within days and color was a closer match. Price was good when on sale.

Typically a great and consistant product, however this year I bought about 20 bags and found a few to be almost all saw dust as opposed to the chips it's supposed to be. I always wait, if I can, for the sale when they are $2 each.

I purchased this when it was 5 for $10. I usually buy Vigoro at the same price but this year’s sale was Scott’s. Awful decision. I kept the bags outside while it was raining because it’s an OUTDOOR product. I opened tge bag and got a mix of brown, light red and dark red. Never again

Looks great small bags are easy to get to the job site

Easy to do, looks excellent, it gives light and color to my yard. Love it. Will get more for sure to finish my project

On may 6 I went to Home Depot to purchase 15 bags of Scott’s Earthgro Mulch in red. When I got home as I am laying it out in the flower bed I noticed it wasn’t the normal red that I get. It was almost burgundy in color. I liked it very much. Once I finished, I realized I did not have enough, so on May 7 I went back to Home Depot to purchase another 17 bags of the same mulch and when I got home and started laying it out I realized this was actually red. So I proceeded to finish thinking maybe one was wetter than the other and once it dried it would blend, but it did not. Needless to say now certain parts of my yard look like a checkerboard. So a couple of days later I called Home Depot to complain and the manager that I spoke with told me he would give me another 17 bags. Needless to say once I got To the store I was there for about 45 minutes and was not happy in the beginning with the service. But in the end they refunded the last 17 bags and gave me another.

THE MULCH IS EASY TO SPREAD AND BRIGHTENS UO THE FLOWER BED NICELY. IT HELPS KEEPS THE WEED DOWN.

I normally get this mulch every year because it works to keep moisture in my garden however this year i bought 22 bags and 8 were much very well and the remainder was big wooden pieces. I called the store but the rep told me it was impossible and i didn’t have the strength to pack all of the bags in my truck and return them. It took 3 trips to get them!

I have used Scotts mulch in the past because of the quality. The batch of Scotts mulch this year is garbage!! I put the much down in my yard and it faded after one heavy rain storm. There was a river of red flowing across my driveway. Now I have a landscape of faded red mulch for the whole summer and its only been down for a week. I wish i could take it all up and take it back for a refund, my yard looks awful.

The wood chip bags are easy to handle.

Very good product. Installed 20 bags a month ago and color is still bright and puts a nice finish on the new raspberry patch. Haven’t had any weeds pop through so am very pleased. Thicker than the competitors mulch and worth the extra 50cents difference in sales pricing between the two stores. Was fortunate HD had a great sale on it

This is the best mulch I’ve ever used! This mulch maintains it’s color though out the summer season.

I like the size of the mulch and the color. It spreads over a good amount of area per bag. I used 33 bags to our landscape and it looks great.
