We are a large family my husband and I live in house with our youngest daughter and we have 2 older daughter that are married and a granddaughter. We have a open door policy here and my door is always open and we always have a lot of company. This fridge meets all my needs, I'm very pleased with my fridge!!

This model is a replacement for EI23BC56IB8.  Freezer did not have consistent temps; in addition to icemaker failure.  THIIS model has more features than first one.  Has 2 icemakers ad consistent temps. We have had this replacement for couple of months.  Electrolux was great about replacing. My original was black and has been discontinued.  Only have SS in counter depth. I have to admit, this SS has a good look; it's brushed SS with shiny handles. Not as noisy as first model. Dual icemakers a plus. Bought extra 3 yr warranty just in case. Filters are universal, so don't need to order anything different there. 

I purchased the equivalent model in 2009 and loved it! I recently moved and left that one behind, so purchased the latest version. The enhancement of having a second icemaker should be an option as it takes up a lot of room. Also the ice cream drawer is a nice innovation, however, it doesn't fit some cartons from popular brands so how helpful is that? I'd rather have more freezer space because this one holds much less than the 5 year old model due to these features. There used to be 3 drawers in the freezer, now only two and they are smaller. The air filter was moved to below the butter storage so the contents is no longer covered. Butter absorbs odors so the covered storage in the 2009 model was better. The new one also feels a little less "solid" than before. Make these features optional and it would be the best one out there.

This is a great looking appliance.  The wave touch controls are very sleek looking & very user friendly.  There is plenty of room & the glass shelves are very easy to keep clean. 

The look of this appliance is very nice.  However, the features for which I purchased the appliance broke shortly after use.  The soft glide drawers are broken and off the slide rails which renders the drawers non-functional.  What's the point of having these great features if they can't be used? Next, condensation builds up between the French doors and drips water on my new wood floor every time I open the door - not what I would expect from a high end appliance.   Should Electrolux right these wrongs I'll be more than happy to write a follow up review.

We have owned this fridge for about 2 months and are extremely happy with our purchase.    You lose several cubic feet of storage in the fridge due to the icemaker/water dispenser, but the fridge more than makes up for it with its flexible shelf layout.  The variable temp drawer is a great feature as is the spare ice maker in main freezer compartment.   Important note on depth**  You need an additional two inches of depth in your measurement to account for the swing of the doors.  I wish electrolux mentioned this in their spec sheets.  My cabinet was designed custom for this fridge and it now needs to stick out two inches to account for door swing.

Features are nice with this refrigerator but it runs constantly and is quite annoying. We've gotten use to it but still, if I knew this before hand, I would not have purchased this product. It's also too difficult to return. Just trying to provide an honest assessment here.

When I was shopping for a new refrigerator, I was disappointed to see all French Door models were substantially smaller than my previous GE Profile from the 1990s. I believe that was a 28 or 29 Cu.Ft and these are running in the low 20s. I went ahead with this one because of the way it is organized. No, I don't have the depth I had before but you know what that meant for me? No more forgotten and often spoiled food stuck in the back, dying a slow death. Everything is visible and within reach. The drawers and door shelves aid in organizing, the Perfect Temp drawers is amazing. I can keep a steak longer in the PT drawer because I can adjust the temp down if plans change and I don't have to put it in the freezer right away. It can chill beer for a party fast and cheese and cold cuts have yet to spoil. I can't say enough about this refrigerator, I really love it....and I didn't when I first dished out nearly $4,000 for it. *I had the previous model with the defective ice maker. That problem has been resolved and I haven't had one single issue in a year with the redesigned model. Electrolux replaced it after my warranty expired, a sign of a very reliable and honest company. I gave more detail in the question and answer portion of this item's information.

My wife & I live in a condo with limited space. The opening for the refrigerator is extremely small & only the smaller refrigerators would fit. This was the only model available that would fit into the space, have the 3 door option we were so looking forward to & had an incredible air filtration system. In the few months we have owned this model, we have noticed our food lasting longer & staying much fresher than ever before! Very convenient shelving with various levels to mount them. Only negative is the water line doesn't run through the unit so the water dispensed is not ice cold...Great product though!

Didn't appreciate how much room the upper ice maker would consume. Also, the ice dispenser broke after 15 months (but company offered to fix it even though it was out of warranty. Overall, we are quite satisfied with the product.

This model replaced an earlier 2010 version of this same model, which we really liked.  This new 2014 model is even better, and it has design improvements that we really like.  The ice maker in the refrigerator compartment is much better than the earlier model.  The controls are convenient and easy to set and use.  The filter locations are better than before.  The special ice cream drawer is such a good idea.  This is a top-quality appliance that looks great in our kitchen, and we're sure it will serve our family well for many years to come.  

We like the design and features of our new refrigerator. The only concern that I have is that it seems to run constantly. Whether it's the compressor or the freezer fans, it is always running.

Ice machine did not work when we received fridge. We have since gotten the ice machine fixed but it is a pretty poor ice machine. Thankfully there is a second ice machine in the freezer portion. Great Design and very spacious.

By far the sexiest looking french door refrigerator on the market. Love the luxury close drawer as well as the soft serve bin. No more hardened ice-cream. The ice maker can be a bit noisy, especially after you've used up most of the ice. The water running into the ice maker and the ice dropping into the bin can be irritating if you have a quite house.

This refrigerator is an expensive nightmare. Ice maker breaks, water stops working, even the molding cracks in the freezer door! Don't bother calling the company for help because you will not get any!

Married 33 years. It was either get rid of the husband or get rid of the old fridge. Best choice ever!

I want to love this refrigerator, but I can't. In the year we've had it, the ice maker stopped dispensing ice. It's often louder than I think it should be, the shelves can't be adjusted to heights that work better for me, and the freezer drawer top shelf mechanism sometimes gets caught, and the freezer doesn't shut as well as it should. That shouldn't be a problem because there is a temp alarm, but it hasn't worked in those situations. The water dispenser is pretty good, but I which it was designed in such a way that refillable bottles angled into it a little better.  The plus side is that is pretty, the fact that there are two ice makers is genius, it holds a good amount, and it has a soft serve ice cream drawer preventing ice cream from becoming a brick. 

Opening and closing the freezer drawer is a disappointment . Noisy in each direction . Everything else should call for a five star review. Love the LED  lighting in the box.

Even though it is only a few inches shallower it is amazing how much room it frees up in my kitchen.  I love the doors and storage layout.  This thing is super quiet too.  This refrigerator is so much better than my old one it makes me think I waited too long to replace it. 

The type of ice maker is nothing but trouble. Breaks down every year. This time just 2 days after warranty. STAY  AWAY FROM!!!!!!!!

Very happy with this fridge.   I finally have plenty of ice.   The ice from the door is always full and ready.   Had to turn off the lower ice maker since I had too much ice.   You could make ice in the lower unit to have ahead for parties.   The lower temperature controlled drawer is an added benefit.  Has a lot flexibility in space.

I would not recomend this product. The wave did not work from the time is was delivered. Service replaced the front wave system and it still is not working. I have all Electrolux appliances thinking they were one of the upper brand products when in fact they are not. The only reason for the purchase of the refrigerator was to match the othe appliances. The only postitive thing I can comment on is your customer service people who were nice enough to help. These appliances are really Fridgidare discuised as Electrolux.

I have never met so many refrigerator repairmen in my life!! I owned the previous model for 2 years and never had a reliable source of ice. The machine underwent at least 4 repairs. Electrolux replaced the refrigerator and within a month the ice maker on the new model had malfunctioned and needed a new part. The ice maker now works in the bottom, but not the top and the door doesn't shut tightly. This is a worst buy.

The refrigerator is nice but only 6 months old and already 2 service calls due to ice maker not working

I recently had issues with a previously purchased Electrolux counter depth fridge and Electrolux replaced that refrigerator even though it was out of warranty. I thank them for standing by their product. Unfortunately the newer model does not have the same quality as the older model. The compressor is noticeably louder, the freezer drawers are on plastic rollers and shelving is not as sturdy. Everything in the freezer still works but opening the freezer is loud and not smooth. One has to be very careful when loading the freezer so as not to keep food below the top of the drawers/shelves. Other issue is I have a leak from the upper icemaker-it is probably condensation but it forms on the back wall below the icemaker. The features are great on this refrigerator-just wish the quality was there. We really did like our original fridge and would still have it-but the icemaker was unrepairable.

First, I'll begin with the star qualities of this refrigerator - style, lighting, large capacity shelving, separate thermostat controlled drawer for meats, cheeses, beverages, etc. that keeps food fresh longer, wave touch design.  This is a sleek, classy looking refrigerator with filter to keep it smelling fresh.  When researching before making the purchase, while there were comparable models, the shelves of the Electroluxe were larger than other brands.  The wave touch design makes the face of the unit minimal as opposed to numerous controls/features being on display, but at the touch of the screen options appear.  If the door stays open too long, an alarm will sound indicating door ajar.  There are convenient compartments, and a mat to keep bottles or other items stationary.  There is also a quick freeze feature that allows one to get the freezer very cold in anticipation of bringing frozen food home from the grocery store!   The only issue I have with this refrigerator is the water and ice feature on the outside door.  In the past there were problems with this, and I was told they had been fixed.  My experience is that there is inconsistency in accessing water more often, but also sometimes ice.  There have been times it stops dispensing water and sometimes both water and ice. I did not get satisfaction from the manual, and have gotten as far as getting a list of repair persons in the area.  Unfortunately, every time I intend to make the call, the water starts again.  Hopefully, this issue will be resolved. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. 

This is the second Electrolux refrigerator for the family. We had so many problems with the first one we shopped other brands. After research, talking with the salesperson and looking at other brands we agreed to give Electrolux another try.  Within 1 week there was a problem with how the freezer drawers pulled out and then the first problem with the ice maker happened. We know the service man on a first name basis. Other than the ice maker and freezer issues this refrigerator is well made and looks awesome in the kitchen

I love the overall design of the counter depth refrigerator. The ice maker on the door is outstanding. Plenty of ice, and it comes out quickly and easily. The other feature I really do like is the perfect temperature drawer. It excellent for keeping things such as meat a little cooler. The stainless steal finish is of high quality, and easy to clean. The only negative is the soft serve drawer in the freezer. It keeps the ice cream too soft in my opinion and just takes up extra space.
