Great Speed Square. Works well. Very durable. Made in the USA.

Bought one of these awhile back. Worked great for awhile. Little by little the ruler started slipping once you locked it down. Now it is impossible to lock it down and have it stay in place...worthless!!!!!

Quality built square at a reasonable price.

I’m a carpenter and woodworker. I’ve been using these for many years, often daily. They are a good deal for the price. The internal part that grabs the ruler wears out and can’t be replaced. I got at least 5 years on my last one. I wasn’t happy to see the base casting has gotten much thinner and not as nice looking. Quality squares are really expensive. These will do the job. Double check squareness against a trusted square.

My old 6” square gave up on me. The blade is fine,but the adjustment screw wouldn’t stay in a fixed position, after tightening. I have a 12” Empire adjustable square I bought years back, that has never let me down, fine quality tool, that’s why I bought the Empire 6” adjustable square!

Just got this home and noticed the blade had some odd discoloration.... I put a magnet to it and sure enough, it's apparently not made from the more corrosion resistant 3xx grades of stainless steel.... the frame (except the scribe) is good stainless, but not the blade. I think I'd like it otherwise, but it's going back.... I already have enough eventually high maintenance or otherwise difficult to read squares.

For the price this square is good, The is 3/4” wide and the square itself appears to be made of aluminum. It’s working so far!

This square met my expectations.. I use it from tile work to everyday use such as light duty wood trimming and is much easier to handle then my traditional metal square which was awkward, heavier, and the edges weren't as sharp. Happy purchase.
