We purchased these stainless steel carriage bolts to fasten a metal piece to the back of a nativity scene for the holidays. It will keep the metal piece in place to stabilize it so it can be then be pushed into the ground to secure the nativity scene. These bolts should do the job nicely! Love the fact that they are stainless steel.

Exactly what I needed

The bolts worked perfectly for the project I needed them for as the threads were well made with no issues threading into the nuts (as some other recent bolts I'd purchased.) I didn't lower the star for my one issue as it was not the product's fault: they were VERY hard to find on the store shelf. It took my husband and I looking for more than 20 minutes to find them while using the store app locator and all of the signage. This area of the atore could use some work.

I returned the Carriage bolts, not because of any defect, they did not work out for what i intended.

Wrong picture of bolt. I purchased a hex head .Its just a bolt to me.

Nuts and bolts are explicitly too expensive. Anyway you look at it.

As described but wrong for purpose

Cashier at HD, Bellport NY took 30 minutes to check out my four carriage bolts, four washers and four nuts totaling $7.20 as several "customers" strolled out of the store without bothering to pay for their purchases.

Ok since you emailed me asking to tell you about my home depot experience... the shelves in hardware are stocked hap- hazardly and the employees that I asked for help don't know anything and often seem irritated and impatient. There, I told you about it.

the bolt seems to be of high quality however do to morons that cant put product back in the correct bin make sure you actually got the bolt you want.
