Nice heavy duty 6 inch Strap
We have several wood raised beds and over time they will expand, separate or one board will push away from another. This strap will draw the boards back together and hold them firmly. The strap metal is good quality and thick enough to not bend or allow movement. I put the strap on the two boards, used the screws and drawed the two boards back together. The strap holds well and I will have to buy more as my raised beds age. This strap makes an easy fix!

The Everbilt 4 inch galvanized mending plate in 2-pack is handy for many jobs.
The Everbilt 4 inch galvanized mending plate in 2-pack is handy for many jobs. I like having them for reinforcing wood projects where additional support is necessary. The galvanized coating ensures they are not prone to rust when used in a damp area. The holes are also counter sunk for the screws that come in the package which ensures a smooth finish to the surface.

Handy 2 Hole Mending strap
I use these type straps for lots of times when holding 2 pieces of wood together. But I use them most for my bee hives. I tie the bottom board to the deep box to keep them together when setting up a hive or moving a hive. I also use them to tie swarm traps to the bottom boards. These swarm traps are moved in the spring and when I catch a swarm, it is much easier to move around, bring home and transfer. They are good quality and hold very well. I keep several sets of these straps on hand. Very handy!

Just what I needed for my project.
Turns out these mending brackets were just exactly what I needed. Very easy to install and I used them on a brand new fence that was just built outback. The builders didn’t quite lineup the swing gate, so I added a piece of wood, and I used these mending brackets up and down the entire 6 foot length. You can see from the photos how easy they were to install, and I would use them again for any other similar projects as necessary.

Mended My Camera With the Everbilt Mending Plate
I used this to fix my camera. When I look at it my first thought is that it would be used to "sister" some pieces of wood. But I have a camera I've had a while that I like and I've been trying to think of a way to make it work. I got the idea of using this. There's a little door on the camera where the batteries and the SD card go. This door opens and is then pushed to the side to lock it down. This door no longer stays shut on its own. One of the plastic tabs that the door pivots on was broken. The door also has the contacts for the batteries on the inside of it so the camera doesn't turn on if the door isn't held tightly closed.. On the bottom of most cameras is a threaded hole to mount on a tripod. I put a wing-bolt in that hole and with a nut, a washer and the mending plate was able to clamp down on the door and hold it shut. My favorite camera was back in business. I had to drill one of the holes out to 9/32 to allow for the quarter-20 screw. I also put a little bend in the plate to clamp down a little tighter. The mending plate is galvanized steel. These are nice to have around in your spare parts. They're like a band-aid when you need to fix something.

Super Handy. Perform Perfectly.
Great for all sorts of repairs. Why I keep a selection of Everbilt Mending Plates on hand in DIY supplies. They are indispensable, quick and easy to use. Screws are made well. Perform best with a pilot hole for accuracy of placement and secure fastening, which these 2 inch satin brass mending plates do very well. Perfect for smaller tasks like keeping an old dovetail drawer together until the correct gluing can be done. These mending plates can easily be ground or filed for an even more precise fit. Highly satisfied and recommend Everbilts 2” Mending Plates.

Good Product
I got this set of two mending plates to reinforce the base of a work table that I built for my shop. The plates are solid steel with four counter sunk pre-drilled holes and four screws for each plate. I installed the plates at the bottom center of each leg and feel confident that they will keep the table steady. This is a good product for reinforcing wood or metal projects.

Works great
Excellent for connecting a seam in wood pieces and keeping those pieces flush with each other. The mending plates have a recess for the screw head so the screw head doesn't protrude above the bracket. Very well made and solid. I would definitely purchase these again to mend seams on wood pieces. The package comes with 4 brass mending plates and 8 brass screws.

Black Everbilt 6 in. Mending Plate
This package of one each Black Everbilt 6 in. Mending Plate had included in the plastic bag four ¾" black wood screws. The black finish looks really nice. It feels nice and smooth, plus it seems fairly tough, as it didn't scratch off while mounting, so I hope it remains rust free for a long time. This mending plate is strong, straight, and true - just what you'd expect of it.

Everbilt 6 in. Galvanized Mending Plate (2-Pack)
This pair of Everbilt 6 in. Galvanized Mending Plates included eight ¾" screws, just the right size for 1-by or and in my case securing two pieces of ¾" plywood together. The galvanized finish should keep them from rusting to a while. This pair had no burrs or sharp edges to cut you or snag your cloths. Strong, straight, and true, just what you'd expect of mending plates.

Everbilt Mending Plate Used on Utility Trailer
Everbilt has a variety of mending plates that is ideal to reinforce flat surface joints, seams or cracks. Countersunk design allows screws to sit flush with the top of the mending plate surface. The mending plates have different lengths that are coated in different protective finishes. When using the mending plate, the right length is important and the right wood screw if tying two pieces of wood together. When picking the right wood screw for the task of connecting 2 pieces of wood together, the size of the screw where it should be a #6, #8, #10, or something larger is determine by the thickness of the mending plate. Drop a #8 screw into the countersunk side of the mending plate the top of the screw needs to sit flush; if it doesn’t try a larger of smaller screw. The right size ensures maximum down ward pressure with out being too high or pulling thru the pre-drilled holes in the mending plate that it comes with. The mending plate is designed so the screws sit flush to maximum the force against the plate. The other important decision is the length of the screw; the longer one is better as long as it doesn’t go thru the wood. I picked 1-1/4 inch long so if over time the screw pulls out or loosen up you can replace them with screws a little longer without going thru the wooden deck. My new utility trailer has a wooden deck the wood was curling up because the end of the plank was not tied down to the metal frame of the trailer. A mending plate reversed that curling and will prevent it from occurring in the future. To ensure this problem doesn’t happen again; I used 2 mending plates per plank see pic. I attached the mending plates to the wood that was curling up first. I drilled pilot holes to ensure not to split the wood for all the wood screw installed. Once the first half of the mending plate was installed on the far end, I set the drill driver to a low torque setting. I tightened all the screws that stood on the wood to force it down as I tight up each screw. As the wood dried out it started to curl more and more. It rained a little which helped reverse the curling some, but the mending plate stopped the curling and reversed the upward movement of the unsecured end of the wooden planks.

Sturdy fix
Quick fix for a fence. Need to put two pieces together this mending plate does the job. It comes with one plate and four screws, so everything you need to do the fix. There are instructions on the back of the package. The plate looks like it will hold up in the weather and not rust. This comes in other lengths and finished, but I like the black.

Solid Steel Plate
Sometimes you just need a mechanical fastener to make projects work. In my case, a kitchen table was fashioned from two half’s of what was a much larger table. To hold the two pieces together I employed these steel mending plates. They are very basic but very strong. They DON’T bend. They are also galvanized so they will resist rust in a humid environment such as a kitchen. Basic, but the right product for the job at hand.

Handy splice plate
This is a galvanized mending plate with two (2) two-inch flat thin plats and four galvanized screws. It is good for holding two pieces of wood or other items together. It might not be the best option for joinery, but it will do the job. I don't have a current need for this item, but it will be nice to have on-hand for future projects. Everbilt products are always well constructed, and I have used them in the past.

sturdy plates
The Everbilt two inch mending plates come in a package of four with the appropriate number of fasteners included. Take note that on one side of the plate the hole is counter sunk. This enables the fastener to be flush with the mending plate once installed. If the fasteners are installed on the wrong side of the mending plate, the head of the screw will be proud of the plate. This poses a potential snagging condition.

Solid Mending Plates
This is a set of two galvanized steel mending plates and required hardware. They're very sturdy and should be rust resistant due to the galvanization. It's convenient having the required screws included. I am going to use them to mend one of the doors on a cabinet which loosened up after years of opening and closing. Installation is pretty straightforward, but I would recommend drilling pilot holes to prevent any wood from splitting.

Mending plates, but black
These are run of the mill mending plates and as such, they are fit for the task. Nice matte black finish which saves painting and there are matching screws. On the con side, these are cheap, stamped mild steel with the edges sufficiently broken to prevent cuts. The worst thing about them is that the holes are no longer countersunk to accept the included screws. Overall, my opinion is "Eh... they'll do".

Steel not Brass
The Everbilt 2-inchSatin Brass Mending Plate (4-pack) is not what it says on the package. The plates and screws are not Brass. They do have a brass look but they are made of steel because they are magnetic. I may have gotten a miss-packaged product, I don't know. At any rate, there are four 2-inch plates with chamfered holes on each end so the screws heads will be even with the plate and eight Philip head screws. These are great for reinforcing joints when 2 boards need extra support and boards placed end to end.

Always nice to have around!
These Everbilt 4-inch Galvanized Mending Plates are a great value and always nice to have on hand. I usually keep a couple of these in my shop because I just never know when I will need them to mend a fence, a chicken coop, green house or something else around the house. They are 4” long, 7/8” wide and 3/32” thick. The galvanizing finish on the mending plates and the screws look nice. These can be used indoors or outside, but since they are galvanized, I will keep them for an outdoor job because they will not rust. I recommend these Everbilt 4-inch Galvanized Mending Plates.

Handy quick fix!
These mending plates are for a quick fix or temporary fix for larger projects, but may be permanent for small wood repairs. The phillips head screws are short so will have minimum holding power. They are galvanized, so should hold up for outside use. Handy to have around the shop, pickup a couple of pairs, yes the come with 2 plates and four screws in each pack.

Galvanized Strength
Renovation work involves lots of mending, especially old work to new work. I always prefer galvanized to zinc plated hardware, even for interiors. Galvanized plates tend to be huskier/thicker with softer edges than standard steel versions and of course never corrode. This 6" plate is well proportioned for many repairs and a good size to keep on the truck. I'd prefer 6 screw holes to the 4 provided, but that's a minor point. The screws themselves are galvanized as well, a definite plus.

Sturdy and well designed
The black, everbilt mending plate is a 1 1/8 inches wide by 6 inches long black plate. The black screws are also included, The mending plate has 4 chamfered holes so the screws can fit flush with the surface of the mending plate. The screws are ¾ inch long and also black so they will be hidden. The plate is 1/16 inch thick. The bracket is quite sturdy and should provide useful support.
