I’ve never had screw heads twist off before. 2 heads twisted right off by hand with a phillips screwdriver. This is after the first screw stripped with my power screwdriver.

I used these screws to mount a plastic sheet on the edge of a door. Our dog uses this door to let us know he wants to go out but in the process scratches the door. The plastic sheet will give the door some protection. I bought 100 screws because you can always use more screws.

The #8 three quarter inch screws come in a handy plastic reusable plastic box which fits nicely in my tool box drawer. It is economical to purchase this quantity of screws since they are a standard size and something I will likely use while doing wood work projects. I tested the screw head strength by drilling in into and out again on a plywood piece several times. The head remained intact after multiple drilling attempts

"EVERBILT" leaders in the screw etc. market. What's kewl about "EVERBILT" is that the actual head configuration, 4 Point Phillips heads do not strip out under torque, a big plus for me. Sometimes I get lazy and forget to adjust the torque on the drill, that written, and next thing I know the drill has stripped out the head, If I am fortunate, I have enough to extract., Quality, and packed well when delivered.

Excellent fastener that can be used for outdoor as well as indoor projects. This fastener is a #8 (.1645”) x ¾” long flat head screw (FHS) made from steel (A36) that has been zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Product comes in reusable packages of a100 screws, the drive slot is Philips and designed to take a #P2 Philips bit not a PR2 that is designed for sheet rock screws. The Philips bits are designed to “cam” out to protect from breading the head off the screw. The PR2 or reduced shank fits deeper into the Philips and you run the risk of snapping the head off before the bit can cam out of the slot. The actual length of the screw is not ¾” it is actually 11/16” or just shy of ¾”, the finish is bright and clean, and the threads are full and sharp. The FHS wood screw is primarily used to fasten two flat wooden surfaces together and to have the screw head flush to just below the surface of the wood to give it a nice finished look. When installing the screw if your breakaway torque setting on your driving tool (drill driver or power screwdriver) is set too high you run the risk of camming out and stripping the Philips drive. If you did not countersink the hole allowing the taper shank to be able to seat you will cam out and strip the Philips drive. If you use a worn-out drive bit you run the risk of camming out and stripping the Philips drive. So, what I’m saying is that you need to be smart about how you go about installing any screw especially an FHS. There are a lot of reviews stating that the product is terrible and just strips out, but I will 100% guarantee that at least one if not all three of the afore mention condition was the real issue and not the screw. If you do not care about the look buy a pan head screw and not the flat head. If you really do want the head to be flush or slightly below the surface use the flat head. I highly recommend to pre drill with a 1/16” and countersink appropriately (see tech sheet), set your breakaway torque setting around 13 and use a good bit. If the head does not go flush you now have a decision to make, raise the torque setting, countersink deeper or predrill using a larger size drill (3/32”). This way you can finish your project looking good. Good product, works well with proper considerations, recommended.
