Worked great! Water is hotter than ever. The previous heating element which was in the Rheem Electric Water Heater that I purchased at Home Depot had completely corroded. It was supposed to have lasted for 5 years but didn't even make it to 3 years. Hopefully, this one from Everbilt will last longer than the cheap piece of garbage that the Rheem water heater came with. It has a top and bottom heating element so I actually replaced both and the top one had begun corroding as well. Be sure to purchase the heating element WRENCH since you won't be able to remove the element and replace it without it. Would have been nice to know when I asked the guy in the Plumbing dept at Home Depot. So I went back there and asked the same guy who gave me one of those typical condescending contractor answers like I was supposed have known that as a do-it-yourselfer. Fortunately the people at Rheem were very helpful and nice and knew exactly what the problem was.

Fix exactly. A little tricky getting it aligned to thread in do to the length and weight but once started it was easy.

Would not tread on to my tank.

Being the only brand sold by Home Depot, I wondered if my warranty would cover the part since Rheem was the brand of water heater that it was being purchased for. Luckily, Rheem covered the aftermarket part so that made me happy. The only issue I was concerned about was the replacement element was about 1 inch shorter than the original element that it was replacing. I needed my water up and running so in a pinch I guess it will do. Everything is working fine so no complaints.

Bought this for my 6 bedroom house for my 80 gallon Solar water heater tank. It only calls for 4500 watts, but I wanted a bigger hot water reserve. The extra watts give me that! My tank only uses one heater element. I have hard water and has a lot of lime, and sulfite so the slow burner and lime resistance is perfect! It was also cheaper than the 4500 watts equivalent. It was a no-brainer for me

So far the item works extremely well It was very easy to replace as well

It worked for what I needed

It's a heating element, it went in the hole and heats water as it should

Although only the top element was bad, I replaced both elements in my water heater because the additional element was inexpensive and the water heater was already drained.

this worked for the 6 gallon booster tank - i had to get one a year ago - they work well but not sure if short time due to over use

I had to replace both my elements in my 50 gal. Rheem water heater, and the same elements from Rheem are out of stock, so I got these instead. Very easy to screw in and tighten. I didn't know about LWD elements and difference with others, but I do know that my Rheem factory elements, mostly top element, had more than half of the element corroded away, and they looked this they were copper based, so maybe they were MWD or HWD. Hopefully with these being stainless and nickel they will last longer.

Good experience. Been doing business with H D for many years and most always a good experience. One of my favorite places. Not liking the get an app before being able to use my Veterans card.as Lowe’s doesn’t require it after I registered with them. I don’t like apps so if this is made mandatory I will strictly shop at Lowe’s. Thank you.
