Perfect replacement for a 65 watt Feit incandescent spotlight, except that this LED bulb has a 23 year lifespan and uses less energy and the incandescent ones burn out after a year or less. When my 12 pack box of Feit incandescent spotlights had run out, I decided to try a LED replacement since the price has dropped dramatically from when they were first introduced many years ago. Sometimes, particularly if you have a dimmer switch, all the LED bulbs on a circuit need to be replaced with the same exact brand and type, but I don't have a dimmer switch and I have only replaced one spotlight with one of these LED bulbs. I will replace the incandescent ones as they burn out. The 7 watt LED spotlight is the same brightness as the 65 watt incandescent ones. These LED bulbs are almost the same diameter as the incandescent ones, so they fill the slot in the ceiling and make it hard to tell which is which. If you look at the attached picture, one of the lights is the new LED one and the other is incandescent. Both are Feit brand. Can you tell which is which?

I bought the BR30s to replace PAR30s in a pair of desk/task lamps on the table where I work on my guitars. They're much lighter which makes them easier on the task lights and being BR30s they spread the light much wider which is essential at those close distances. I haven't tested dimming since in this application I don't need it but from prior experiences with dimmable Feit LEDs (even with dimmers designed for tungsten/halogen bulbs) I have no reason to assume they won't dim.

These bulbs are perfect for our needs. Moving from 2700k equivalents, house is brighter, wall color, whites, and colors of furniture, cabinets, etc. are more accurate and vibrant. Do not like the bluish tint of 5000k bulbs so this is a happy medium. Wish they were around 3500k but these worked out just fine.

The Feit 85W (equivalent) BR30 LED bulbs are spectacular. Until now, I've never had enough light in my kitchen. I've had them in service for 5 weeks and I'm very impressed every time I switch on the lights. Even 100W halogen R30 spotlights were weak compared to these bulbs. The light output from the Feit 85W BR30 LED bulbs has excellent quality, uniformity, color and brightness. The extra cost is worth every penny, and more.

85-WATT and a warm LED --> my wife loves these for the bathroom. Bright Bright and without being blue. I love them for our dark hallway (especially living in North Michigan where winters are long and dark). Actually wattage draw for these 85-Watt equivalent is only 12.2 so for our bathroom (3 lights), that means a total of 36.6 Watts of draw vs 255. In the end, that means a lot less energy and a lot less heat generated in a small location.

These LED bulbs were used to replace two 65W warm white incandescent bulbs in a recessed eyeball type can light. These bulbs are rated at 12.2 watts, 1100 Lumens ans 2700K color temperature. They are slightly brighter that the previous incandescent which were 2300K and only 65W. They give off a lot less heat which is good. The photo below shows the overall light pattern and color.

Bright, 110 degree wide beam, works with Insteon smart dimmer. UL listed. 2700K color (soft white). I put a pair of these into our basement guest room. It really brightened up the space compared to the old flood lights and they work with the smart dimmer. They are rated to produce 1100 lumens and use 12.2 watts, which gives a very good 90 lumens per watt ratio (though not record breaking). The package says it has a 5 year warranty with an average household use of 3 hours per day. It also says it is "suitable for damp locations" but should not be exposed directly to water. The package also says it "may not be compatible with all dimmers".

When I opened the box of these Feit Electric enhance vivid natural light LED bulbs I expected to see regular size flood light bulbs and was quite surprised to see bulbs not much larger than regular light bulbs. I thought maybe they are meant for indoor use only due to the smaller size but they are rated for wet locations as well! So then I thought surely they won’t be very bright outside but I was wrong about that too. These are even brighter and I love that they are smaller. Much easier to handle and install. 85 watts is supposed to last 22 years. 1100 lumens. Dimmable. Can also be used for track lighting as well as ceiling can lights and are ideal for high ceilings. These bulbs are bright and versatile and with a 5 year warranty, an absolute bargain for the price.

These bulbs are replace in’s some old incandescent light bulbs. So far, so good. The life expectancy of these is much more than the old traditional style. The light it gives off is pleasant. It is supposed to simulate daylight. They are floods so they give a nice broad pattern. I have them in my barn attic. Only time will tell if they are long lasting. So far, I am very pleased with them.

After trying the 85-Watt Equivalent BR30 Dimmable CEC Title 24 Compliant LED ENERGY STAR 90+ CRI Flood Light Bulb, Soft White (2-Pack) out , I have found that it gives good light up close but does not give the distance of a regular flood light type bulb . It will use a lot less energy and last up to 25,000 hours or up to 22 years . Using 12.2 watts of power, it would be a great option to a regular spot light for close around the house lighting .

Have been using the FEIT bulbs for a while. These are dimmable and soft white, exactly what i need at that corner of the home. I like the fact that these are low wattage, same brightness and long lasting bulbs. These bulbs are bright enough, so are recommended for high ceilings too, but good for rooms which need to be bright enough like bath rooms etc too.

As my incandescent bulbs have been burning out in my garage I’ve been replacing them with led. Then i see these Feit led bulbs that put out 1100 lumens only using 12.2 watts. The box says enhance, referring to the bulbs ability to make the eye see colors more brightly. I was skeptical so i installed one right next to an incandescent. They aren’t lying. This bulb seriously makes colors brighter and I’m impressed. I’m also impressed with the construction of the bulb; it’s plastic! These bulbs can go outside without fear of hail. These would be perfect for a motion light. They are very bright and approved for outdoor. What’s most impressive is how long they are estimated to last, 22.8 years based on 3 hours of usage per day. I may never have to replace them.

I have seen the evidence and as I can I am replacing all of my home and work shop lighting from incandescence or fluorescent to LEDS. I personally find the quality clearer, cleaner and sharper with the LEDs that I have replaced my old lighting with. The benefits are very numerous : Reduced heat, which allows me to add lighting to my enclosed small showcases that I use to display my valuable collections. .At the time, I have had a significant reduction in my electric bill . Becomes the best of both worlds.

I replaced big old incandescent bulbs with these smaller across the face LEDs but it immediately appeared that the new ones gave brighter light. I replaced the incandescent bulbs in my kitchen with these daylight bulbs and found the clearer brighter light given off by the LEDs made working out there much easier. The bonus here is the fact that they are also dimmable. This allows for a softer environmental atmosphere if this is desired. These bulbs have the ENHANCE vivid natural light which allows colors to appear more realistic and vivid. Additionally, these bulbs use almost 90% less energy than my old incandescents and will operate for up to 25,000 hours instead of 1,000 house like the incandescents.

These bulbs were considerably smaller (and easier to handle) across the face than those they replaced but immediately appeared to produce a lot more light than the originals. The light they produce is warm and comfortable not piercing at all and they compliment the articles on which they shine without making them look garish or sharp. These bulbs allow colors to appear more realistic and vibrant. The fact that they are dimmable is a distinct bonus. This allows the creation of a completely different environmental atmosphere that when shining at full brightness. They will also be considerably more electrically efficient than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. They are reported to use close to 90% less energy than those they replaced and will operate for 25,000 hours as opposed to the 1.000 hours of the incandescent bulbs.

This daylight high output 85 WATT equivalent BR30 LED light bulb produces a light output of 1100 Lumens. It's ideal for high ceilings or larger spaces but only uses 12.2-Watt of electricity, up to 85% less energy than a standard 85-Watt incandescent light bulb. Instant on to full brightness while remaining relatively cool. These Feit Electric BR30 bulbs have an average life of 25,000-hour/22.8 years. I'm using them in a pair of enclosed bathroom light fixtures since their low operating temperature makes these ideal for that type of fixture.

Feit Electrics’ BR30 65 Watt equivalent 'enhance' LEDs have pros and cons. I compared Feit Electric's BR30 LEDs to: (a) another brand with the same specifications (65 Watt equivalent bulbs, 2700k color temperature, and a CRI >90%), and (b) a less expensive brand that was 65 Watt equivalent, 2700k, but with a CRI>80%. I tested these in our kitchen’s recessed fixtures to determine which I liked best. I ultimately decided on these Feit Electric 'enhance' LEDs. Pros - * Energy use: The Feit Electric LEDs use only 7.2 Watts to provide 650 lumens (that’s 90.23 lumens per watt) which is more efficient than the less expensive brand, which use 9 Watts to produce 650 lumens. * Clarity/Color Rendering: The Feit Electric LED's have a CRI > 90% and provide vivid color better than the CRI>80% and equally as good as the other brand with CRI>90%. Keep in mind that a 2700k color temperature will provide an element of “warmth” (yellow) similar to traditional incandescent and halogen bulbs. * Dimming Capability: The Feit Electric LED's don't flicker when dimmed using our Lutron TG-600 dimmer which is made for incandescent and halogen bulbs. I confirmed that these bulbs are compatible with the dimmer by visiting www.feit.com. * Life Expectancy: Feit’s LEDs are expected to last 22.8 years (based on 3 hours/day) consistent with the comparable LED bulbs, and are expected to last 10 years longer than the less expensive LED bulbs with a CRI>80%. * Heat: The modest amount of heat generated by these LEDs emanates from closer to the front of the bulb (vs middle) which I prefer. * Turn on time: With our Lutron TG-600 dimmer, the Feit LEDs turn on in roughly 1 millisecond which is slightly faster than the others. * Value/Cost: While the Feit Electric LEDs cost only slightly more per bulb than the comparable bulbs and $1 more than the CRI>80% brand, I prefer them given they turn on with less delay. Cons - * Beam Angle: The Feit LEDs have a 110 degree beam angle which is less focused (aka, wider dispersion) than the comparable brand. Depending on the application and fixture, some folks may prefer this wider beam. * Warranty: The Feit LEDs come with a 5 year warranty when the comparable brand comes with a 10 year warranty. The less expensive brand with CRI >80% also came with a 5 year. Other things to consider: * Application: These BR30's are made for Indoor/outdoor, but not where they’ll come in direct contact with water. I found this with all the plastic BR30 LEDs I compared. Keep this in mind if you’re considering these bulbs for an outdoor flood fixture. * Brightness: Feit’s BR30 LEDs are 65 Watt equivalent LEDs providing 650 lumens of brightness with a CRI >90%. I don’t know who determines the equivalent standard, but I found other brands’ 65 watt equivalents can range from 650-680 lumens. Just pointing it out if you plan to mix and match brands. Overall, I like these Feit Electric BR30 LEDs and think they’re a good long-term value based on my needs.
