Nice product but not recommended for oui swng from left to right. Absolutely want the mechanism mounted on the gate itself. If not you need 2 hands to open and close.

Easy installation it does its job

I got this large and it’s literally the most difficult thing to use ever. You literally have to like slam the gate and hold it for it to actually latch and then to open it you have to pull it who knows how many times from the outside and then from the inside you have to push it literally 1 million times before it opens. Do not get this save your money and your time

Going to return the thing. Fell apart when I took it out of the box.

Very good ,but it requires 5/8" clearance. Which is a lot, but then the screws aren't countersunk and the still interfered upon closing.

Works great from both sides

Never got to use it. Dropped it out of the back seat floorboard when I opened the door at home and it broke. Not sure who thought a PLASTIC spring was a good idea. I wouldn’t have used it even if it had broke because I feel like intense Texas heat and weather would eventually cause the spring to loose resistance. Good concept, poor design.

I wanted to like this. I have a 1.5" thick metal gate. Product states it accommodates that dimension. The problem at 1.5", the screw holes on the short angle are right up against the edge of the gate. The inside holes do not line up with the inside of the gate. Plastic piece sandwiched and clipped between handle body does not appear sturdy. Very disappointed and will return to HD. Fenix - if you read this review, a great idea, unique, but please go back to drawing board to improve.

When I took the lock out of the packaging it split into several small pieces that I was not able to put back together. Instructions were poor as well. Item was returned.

I bought this for a second time to replace the mechanical portion that had failed. They are a good idea in theory, but the plastic spring fails after less than a year and not long after the whole thing will get sloppy.

Very temperamental--not easy to operate. Requires fine adjustments. Gates are not this exact, like a door; they move and are slammed. This changes the adjustment and this latch is too exact for that.

Cool idea, poor quality. The plastic clips broke before I could put it onto the post.

Terrible design. I had more than the 5/8” clearance needed between the gate and post but the latch still hit the screws on the post side. Had to notch out the wood to prevent it from hitting. Still hard to open. Have to use a lot of pressure to get it to open. Will not buy this design for my other gate.

Love the gate latch! Works perfectly to allow easy entry from either side of the gate. Solves the problem of how a short person can open a tall gate without having to reach over to unlatch it.

While the design works in theory, its a mess in real life. If you can even get the latch to fit your gate, (instructions are no help), the mechanism is too weak to work as intended.

Works perfectly. Difficult to install

No clear installation instructions. I dropped the set and I had to visit their website for assembly instructions. The plastic spring are not going to resist for a long time, probably. Everything is loose, there are much better options in the market. I wish I had the box to return it.

Dropped it from approximately 2.5 feet while installing and it broke

Easy to install and provides clean and easy gate access.

A good product, but requires more than 5/8" clearance btwn gate and wall. Had to tear apart gate & rebuild to allow enough clearance.
