Easy to install. Takes a while to put the crystals on... be careful not to drop them! The end result is fabulous. Dimmer works very well. I think frosted bulbs look better than clear. LEDs bulbs dim just fine. When it's not on, the light reflects rainbows of colors in the crystals. It took some work to get the bottom piece straight with the top piece, but you can do it.

Pretty light

Ive been looking for a chandelier/light fixure for awhile to update ny formal dining room. This was definitely worth the wait. I absolutely love the look of the chandelier and it wasnt hard to install. The only con is that the hooks to hang the crystals are a little short so that part was difficult

Love love love how this looks. Metal is black with glass crystals. I wish the hooks felt more secure but seem to work. The packaging protects the product but leaves bits of styrofoam all over. Overall, it was easy to install and looks good. Tip for adding the crystals, I put on latex gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints

I enjoy this chandelier so much. It makes me smile. It throws rainbows all over the dining room when the sun comes through the windows during the day. It is dimable at night for just the right amount of flashing crystal sparkle for a romantic meal or turn the light up for a fun family and friends game night. Like I said, this chandelier makes me smile. The only drawback to this chandelier was the color. It is black not bronze. That was easily fixed wth two different colored cans of bronze spray paint. It now is dark brown bronze and matches my curtain rods. It was a pretty easy install. I used 3 S hooks I have in my junk drawer to hold it close to the ceiling while I wired it. We’ve been enjoying this fixture for about 5 months.

I was disappointed to find one of the glass prisms were cracked (but usable); they seem very delicate. Once assembled, the fixture looks pretty cool, but not as cool as pictured-- we placed the cracked glass prism facing the wall, so it's not as noticeable. I'm hoping the manufacturers will replace it.

Gorgeous. My only issue is where I can find replacement crystals, I chipped one right off the bat.

Beautiful light. Colors bounce off the prisms, creating a soft, yet vibrant setting. We used soft white bulbs at first, could not achieve this effect. Switched to LED, just perfect!

From the moment I set my eyes on this light, it was love at first sight,,and did not hesitate purchasing it. After installing the light over my dining table which has a mirrored center piece, it became even more evident how perfectly well it complimented my dining room decor. I replaced my wall switch with a dimmer switch which enables me to create the perfect ambience from the reflectivity of the glass crystals. Now I am dining in style.

Choosing a lamp is a very subjective thing, but there's certainly something unique and at the same time classic about the Madison lamp. My wife refers to it simply as "beautiful," and I find it very interesting, if a little asymmetric for my tastes. But you can decide that for yourself based on photos. I'll instead provide a bit of insight into what it takes to actually install it, and whether it offers high quality and value. Unpacking: (1) the lamp comes in two large parts (upper tier and lower tier), and also has mounting hardware for the ceiling, including an escutcheon, chain, and bracket. You then get four packages of crystals inside, totaling 66 crystals in all. They have small clips pre-installed, but you'll need to open these clips up to attach the crystals to the frame. (2) I was a little disappointed that the polystyrene packaging material was of very low quality, such that small bits of foam broke off and ended up everywhere during the unboxing process. Assembly: (1) Attaching the top and bottom tiers isn't hard, although I was a little surprised that it simply used a hand-tightened fastener. It kept coming lose during installation, and did not inspire confidence of long-term security. (2) As mentioned, all 66 crystals must be attached to the frame, and the instructions suggest doing this after hanging the lamp. Because I was hanging the lamp high in a stairwell, I assumed it would be too much work to install all of these while up on a ladder, and did it beforehand. This was a mistake, even though doing so after the fact wouldn't have been much better. (3) The crystals use small clips that are a little like staples, but much more pliable. You simply close them by hand. They are not strong, and do not provide a tight fit. Even so, it took 30 minutes just to attach these crystals to the frame, and this was while sitting on the floor. The manufacturer expects you to do it while the lamp is hanging from the ceiling. (4) A small set screw that locks the hanging post and top tier together was entirely missing from our package, even though the hex wrench that you need to secure it was in the parts bag. I had to fashion my own set screw from spare parts on hand. Installation: (1) I installed this with the help of a handyman, both of us up on a ladder, with the lamp's mounting mount about 12 feet above the stairwell. This was a very, very difficult process. The lamp weighs over 20 pounds with the crystals attached (and indeed the metal frame is pretty heavy on its own), and during the process, one of the crystals came dislodged and shattered on the floor. (2) The grounding wire is separate from the power line, and makes it quite awkward to string the whole bundle through the mounting bracket while suspended above your head. The fact that the cables must also be intertwined through the chain makes the lamp quite unstable and susceptible to twisting and spinning during installation. (3) All told, this lamp took 2.5 hours to install with two people working on it the entire time. It is not a simple or easy process. In use: (1) the crystals tend to hang a bit off center, as the twist in the chain (caused by the power cable running through it), means the lamp is not quite vertical, and while you wouldn't notice this in most chandeliers, you can notice that here. (2) the crystals are very attractive, both when lit and in the presence of ambient light. They provide a variety of reflections, and almost replicate the appearance of light shining through water. It's very unique. (3) The metal frame and crystals together combine to provide a timeless design, that is neither trying to be too modern, nor simply a replica of an antique. Note that we contacted the manufacturer after installation regarding the broken crystal, and they offered to send out four spares at no cost. That is top-notch customer service. Overall, we're very happy with the lamp, but we have some concerns and recommendations for prospective buyers (and the manufacturer): (1) the clips used to hold the crystals really aren't strong enough for the intended purpose. A clip that locks in, sort of like a tiny safety pin, would be much, much better. This should be addressed by the manufacturer. It's a serious problem. (2) prospective buyers should consider whether the lamp will be hung over a hard surface like a tile floor (which is what we have). The glass crystals will absolutely shatter if they fall onto a hard floor from a distance. (3) if you cannot hang the crystals with the lamp already in place on the ceiling, don't bother buying this lamp. Installing it with the crystals attached was simply an unacceptably difficult process. The manual suggests installing them afterwards for a reason, but remember, there are 66 individual crystals that must be attached with great care, and this is almost certainly not something you'd want to do while on a ladder. (4) You may want to consider ignoring the suggestion in the instructions of routing the power lines through the chain. It's awkward to do, and leave the chain and the lamp twisted and off-balance, which affects the way the crystals hang. So overall, we are very happy with this lamp, but mostly due to its aesthetic design, which is in the eye of the beholder. The installation process, as well as the engineering of the lamp's securing mechanisms, leave a lot to be desired. This is a classic case of form over function, but if the design strikes your fancy, it may still be a good choice for you.

I have finally come across a light that I do not like. The main goal was to put this fixture at the top of our stairs, in the hallway. After measuring and looking at the size, this would not have worked as it would have hung too low, even without using the chain. Because of this we decided to put it in our living room. The installation process was quite tedious, and I had to cut the wire as it was too long to tuck up into the ceiling junction box. Once I was able to get the light hanging from the ceiling and the electrical components all buttoned up, I had to endure the long process of hanging each prism. Each prism has a little metal clip that you will have to put through a little hole in each prism spot. Once done with that, I had to clean each prism of the fingerprints. Overall the entire installation process took 1 hour. Finally, to top it all off, the light was short 3 prisms which I will have to have them send me. Once all that was complete, I put the bulbs in and turned it on. The brightness level and prism reflection where not conducive to a living room light and it looked out of place. At this point I will most likely look for another light.

This light is definitely a GO for anyone to upgrade their rooms' appeal. We mounted this two-tier and one-tier lights in our kitchen. And the impact is immediate - a LOT of compliments. The light came in well-packaged, but will advise to unpack in garage/outdoors due to white little "balls" falling out from packaging (hard to clean, but easy to vacuum). Assembly of the second tier is straight-forward. The socket to attach the light on the ceiling is standard and can be adjusted to deeper or shallow attachment of the socket. Chain can be adjusted to fit any ceiling height. We mounted crystals after light fixture was attached. Use of gloves is a good idea to avoid fingerprints. Great quality and appeal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very impressive light fixture! Quality of construction and appearance are noticeable. Packaging is very thorough (albeit all the white "stuff" coming out as well). So, word of advice - unpack in an area where you can clean-up after the fact. Assembly is straight-forward. Attachment is typical of any light fixture. One can adjust it properly if your socket is deep or at surface level. We did hang all the crystals prior to installation. Gloves to wear might be a good idea as well to avoid finger prints left on crystals after the installation. Beautiful light! At night all the light "resonates" throughout the kitchen and we got a LOT of compliments on it already. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The Madison 4 light pendant has 2 sections that you simply screw together. The upper section has 3 lights on a black metal frame that holds 42 crystal prisms. The lower section is also black metal and holds 24 crystal prisms and there is a single bulb pointing down for that section. You can use the fixture with the included chain and matching electric cord and it would work in any room in the house. If you had very high ceilings you could use part of the chain or one link to connect directly and it would require 28 to 30 inches depending what you used. The crystal prisms hang on a 45 degree angle hook from the fixture and are mirrored and free to move. Without the light they reflect the light in the room but when you turn on the light it adds color to the prisms. Replacing the existing light switch with a dimmer switch is easily done and then you could adjust the light to the brightness and amount of color you want. This is a very attractive and unique light.

The Madison 3 light pendant consists of a circular 18" black metal frame and you hang 40 crystal prisms around it. In daylight with the lights off it reflects the room as they have a mirror finish. When you turn on the light it adds color but when it gets dark and you have the light on it really adds colors and is very attractive. Replacing the existing light switch with a dimmer switch is easily done and then you can adjust the light to the brightness and amount of color you want. You can adjust the chain to the height you want and the light can be used in any room of the house and not take up a lot of space. The light comes with all the parts to install it except the 3 bulbs. The manufacturer has a website listed in the brochure in case there are missing or broken parts or a question. When installed it is a really nice light and with a little breeze the prisms are free to move and show even more color.

Attractive light fixture. Easy to install. Biggest design negative are the cheap flimsy metal clips to hang the crystals break easily and crystals don’t hang/align within frame structure.

Definitely an upgrade to my kitchen! Gives off lots of light and was relatively easy to install. I would recommend wearing gloves when attaching the prisms so you don’t get fingerprints all over them. Just be aware that this lamp takes special bulbs, so don’t forget to add them to cart or you will be making a trip to the Depot.

The chandelier ooks like I expected, though after I had installed all of the crystals, I noticed one of the lower section brackets had a bend to it. The company suggested that I uninstall and return the whole unit so they could replace it. The instructions tell you to pry open 2 chain links and then close them in order to shorten the chain to the correct length. All you need to do is hang the chain to mark where the last link should be then remove that link since the chain comes with 2 links that screw open.

It was not as described.

The products added more beauty in the upgrade of the house project and looks grate. Thanks.

The one and only thing that I'd like to see different is that the manufacturer includes one extra crystal in the packaging. We all know that one crystal will most likely fall out of your hand and shatter while hanging them individually. Yep, it happened to us. Otherwise, it's a great addition to our 1920's conference room.

they are as shown, I had a bad experience because after I bought a pair of them, one broke and I tried to get a new one but they were discontinued. I was heart broken because i totally felt in love with them. they are gorgeous, elegant and modern. I which I were able to keep them in our property.

I do not recommend this lamp. 3 prisms broke while assembling.

It was tedious to hang the individual crystals. I recommend wearing gloves while putting them on to avoid fingerprints on all of them.It is gorgeous! I was a little skeptical because some of the photos made it look blue, but it is GORGEOUS in person.
