Handle snapped off on the 10th hole I was digging. I was digging in medium soil type pretty moist after first 6 inches. Holes were not super big about 18-24 inches for sapling trees and it broke on the last hole. I am not a super strong female so for this to break is ridiculous. I filed a claim with fiskar, which is only on-line now, and I got an automated email saying it would be 4-6 weeks for them to review claim. Now I have to buy a replacement shovel.

I never thought I'd be "excited" for a shovel, but after years of buying and using cheap flimsy shovels I decided you upgrade. Originally bought on sale, it certainly isn't a cheap product. It's sturdy and has since real weight to it. Definitely a great product to consider.

Best shovel ever! I got this after breaking others digging out bamboo roots. It never fails to do the job. It is now my go-to housewarming gift for those with yards

There really is a difference between cheap shovels and quality ones. This one digs well and is quite substantial. Probably the best shovel I've ever owned.

It’s a great shovel for digging up old roots. I like that it’s durable enough for me to put my 200 pounds on the handle while digging up roots! The only downside for some might be the weight of the handle.

Purchased this shovel after cracking my old fiberglass shovel while trying to dig/pry out an azalea bush root ball. This one easily got the job done AND has a lifetime warranty.

Solid welded and will powder coated, seems it will last so far.

Great quality all steel. Has the extra wide lip you can dig all day in tennis shoes and you foot will feel fine. This is one of those tool you only have to buy once.

Absolutely the best hand shovel you can buy hands down. If you can’t afford to rent a back hoe this is your next best option. It cuts through even tough soils like clay and is nearly indestructible. I use it for a level arm to pry or lift things like land scape Timbers. This is the Superman of shovels. It’s so good I bought a second in case I lose one and they stop making them.
