[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definitely needed to unit in my apartment since I just moved to California. It cools pretty well and is quite quick. The fan has a couple of different settings which is helpful for controlling how noisy it is. The only thing is the tube that pumps the hot air out isn't very long so it does have to sit close to a window and right now I have mine sitting up off the ground in order to read the window in my kitchen.

I had several airconditioners before and even the self evaporating ones needed to be drained sometimes. I have had this one 6 weeks with some very humis weather and we have not had to drain it yet.

I bought this portable air conditioner 4 months ago and couldn't be happier. It quickly cools off my bedroom and is conveniently hooked up to my window. I have had no negative issues with this portable unit, only positive. This unit is a life saver in the TX heat. I would recommend this product to everyone who needs a small room cooled off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan speed on hi could be stronger in regards to the med and low. The AC works great and keeps it cool. You'll need to keep the remote handy if you power it on with it. I like the fact I can turn it to the sides with the vent coil set up I have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately this unit does not work well at all. Easy to install, but the unit only blows cold air. There is no difference in air temp between AC mode and Fan mode. The unit is connected properly and you can hear the compressor kick on when in AC mode, the room never cools below 70. Waste of money and time

It works great and cools off the small room it's in and the hallway on an upstairs level. Love the fact I haven't had to dump the water yet from it and I don't have to keep a bucket by it for the water to drain out. I only wish the timer was easier to set...haven't figured it out yet. Otherwise a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is most certainly of decent-quality and is effective. Make sure that you understand the requirements, though. It is a portable air conditioner, not an "in-room one." You would still need to find a vent (all accessories are included) for the cool feature. If you decide to use the dry feature, then you would need to drain the water (accessories not included). You can always use the fan-only feature without worrying about any of that, but then you probably wouldn't buy an air conditioner.

This Frigidaire portable AC solved our problem and now we can have very cool summers. Great quality, easy to use and it doesn't take up too much space. Definitely worth the investment.

Niagara Falls usually gets humid and most apartments don't have built in air conditioning, so using this to cool things down has been enjoyable. Setting the timer is helpful for my animals who like to keep cool, too!

This is an excellent portable air conditioner for a small bedroom or one bedroom apartment! I put it in the living room and it cools the living room and kitchen. I close the bedroom door. It keeps the apartment very comfotable, especially in humid weather with 90 plus degrees. The manual instructions were confusing for connecting the hose to the window and back of the air conditioner. After taking time to look at everything, it was very easy to install. Gently twist the circular parts onto the hose. The square part goes on the back of the AC. Just slide it all the way in. Gently twist the other end clockwise into the window kit's hole. I didn't really need the adhesive foam or all of those nails. I can move it to my bedroom too, but it really cools my entire apartment when I leave the bedroom door open! I like the dehumidifier also because it removes odors and humid air! I had to buy a garden hose for that. The fan is nice too for when you just want a breeze on a nice summer day that's not too hot. This is a really good portable air conditioner for a small Brooklyn apartment in NYC. The remote is nice too. It comes with 2 triple A batteries.
