[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this Frigidaire washer and drier to use on main floor of our ranch style home. With health issues it was getting difficult going to basement for laundry. This combo is not too large, it fits nicely in our third bedroom. Clothes come out clean and dry. Simple to use, best purchase we have ever made.

Takes some getting use to when on spin ringin, a bit noiser than the whirlpool i had.

Inside of the washer looks very large and no I’m not one of those that fills it to the top and I would think 4 normal size towels that only fill up the washer halfway should get clean if I put it on max fill.... literally does not even fill up halfway with water. Sensor stops the water intake when it senses the top of the load but the problem with that is I selected max fill because I’d like there to be room for them to swish around in the soapy water so I know it gets clean. When it stops at the top of the clothes there’s no water for them to swish around in hence the machine struggles and you can hear it struggling because the wet towels are very heavy and super absorbent... i’m not an engineer but my God it should be some sort of common sense here!!

I would recommend this product because of the size of load capacity. If you live in a space where you need a center this is a good product. It can be a bit fussy with load off balancing. It doesn't have as much flexibility in settings as I'm used to. But all in all it gets our clothes clean.

I will say it's a bit louder than the Kenmore unit it replaced however I have a small condo and louvered doors to the unit. If it were in a laundry room/area where you could close a door, it would be no issue. It works so well. Spins like a champ, clothes come out wonderful from dryer too. I love it and highly recommend this unit. High quality and a great price.

After 40 days with this washer it was the final straw this morning: My wife was nearly in tears because neither of us could get it to finish a load a laundry for guests who needed to leave on a schedule. The issue is that this washer will say that it is "out of balance" every 3rd load or so. To make this issue worse it takes 5 minutes to "unlock" before you can attempt to re-balance, which rarely works; the only consistent solution I have found is to switch to the "rinse only" mode and restart the wash. This is not our first washer and we know how to balance a load of clothing. In addition to this issue the washer and dryer have the most annoying "finished cycle" beep that repeats itself and can't be disabled. We had an older Frigidaire laundry center that we enjoyed for over 10 years, replaced it with this one which has turned out to be so disappointing that it is going back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer 2 weeks ago and the sounds it makes are so annoying I have to star washing when no one is home so I don’t have to bother my family, it takes for ever to wash and the out of balanced sensor is way to sensitive, I have to spend a whole day just washing clothes cause it takes for ever to wash. so un happy and can’t even return it, I have dishwasher a Microwave a stove and a Refrigerator from this brand and love them but this washer is the worst!

Works great, my wife once changed her mind about a wash cycle while it was running and we couldn’t get the Washer door unlocked, after power cycling it a couple of times it opened, so 4 starts. 5 stars if I didn’t have to fidget with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I waited about a month before writing a review to see if everything kept working. I've not been disappointed! The washer has plenty of capacity and washes blankets just fine. It also has a feature that gradually fills, agitates, and then resumes filling. You do have to reach down into the washer to get the smaller items. I've found if I simply rotate the barrel, I can bring the smaller items closer to me. The pipes drain well and I don't hear water left in the barrel. The dryer is also of good size and dries and fluffs better than I expected. The controls are very easy to manage, and understand. You can stop the washer cycles and add softener if desired. Both w/d have signals that sound when the loads are complete. I live in a condo/apt and this fits well in the given space, even allowing more storage. I'm really pleased!

Getting used to a top loading washer with an agitator, but so glad I went this way so I can do felting! Plenty of room in washer and dryer for bigger loads and plenty of cycle choices. Good value.

Be wary of the positive reviews. Often people post right after they buy a product. I am a frugal person, and this kills me, but we are talking about throwing away this washer, though it is "working" and a buying a different one. I have had great luck with Frigidaire appliances in general, but this one has been a disaster. I would have returned it right after trying it, but I was renting the place (now I have bought the place, and unfortunately this laundry center came with it.) I decided to write after owning this unit for a year as I am on my 3rd hour of doing ONE load of whites. The unit becomes unbalanced over and over even though I am removing items and re-balancing the load every time. To finish this load, I had to remove 75% of the load. The load was not overfilled to begin with. If this wasn't frustrating enough for a $1400 machine, each times it unbalances, it beeps at you over and over, but won't unlock the door for ten minutes. Now I have to rinse and dry the other 75% of the load. I was already frustrated last night as I just wanted to throw a load in and go to bed, but you can't do that as the unit beeps and beeps until you open the door. There is no beeper off switch. To repeat all of the other reviewers: 1. Washer becomes unbalanced ALL THE TIME 2. When it is unbalanced it makes you wait 10 minutes every time before you can open the door. 3. The dryer generated the most lint I have seen. I have to vacuum after using the dryer; lint is everywhere. 4. The dryer stops it's self and reads "Clean lint trap" over and over, even though there is zero lint in the trap (it's all over my floor.) 5. The beeper goes off repeatedly, not letting you go to bed with a load in. 6. The unit is very loud I have been doing laundry for 35 years. I never even thought about laundry machines before this. I have been using stacked laundry centers like this for 20 years without any issue. This unit is special.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the unit and the fact that I can make a small or large load. I was extremely disappointed with the installation. I had to hire someone that was not familiar with the unit to complete the installation. However my person knew more about it that the installer for the dealer. I do not like the clank and noise the washer makes. The dryer is fine. I was happy with the salesman at the dealer but not with the installer. So much so I will not return to that dealer.

I still can't wash my king size sheets in a shot glass full of water. I'm sick of it. I wash one sheet at a time. Then I have to pull the sheet out, of the washer, untwist it put it back to run it through the rince cycle then repeat until the ENTIRE SHEET GETS WASHED. It takes me all day to wash 3 loads of clothing. And the dryer is just as bad. 90 min on high heat -their still damp. The repair guys say its operating as designed. Really they actually designed a washing machine that doesn't wash my cloths and a dryer that didn't dry them.

Is there supposed to be cardboard inside of the dryer door?? There is something silver over the top right corner of the coated board as well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer/dryer combo because of limited space. It fits very well in the space allotted. It washes and dries very good. I am thoroughly pleased right now.

When I bought my house four year ago I went with stackable LG units (the popular white with “brushed stainless” door rings). Basic, high capacity, affordable, was highly recommended by store employees. Now I know why- they are trying to get RID of them. Barely washed clothes because of so little water yet also leaked every wash, door seals fell apart, dirt and lint falling out of the dryer, eventually mold smell... we had two appliance repair companies assess them and the answer was basically ‘design flaws’. That particular set even has a class action lawsuit currently open. Finally, once all of our clothes smelled like mildew, we decided to upgrade. Discouraged by the stackable I decided to consider a laundry center. I endlessly researched them but continually hit dead ends of bad reviews and bewildered store employees (“but why aren’t you getting one of the ~new~ stackable units sweetie?!”) I held my ground and landed on this one, but could only find one single review, and it was bad. I really liked it though from what I could see, and through my research had concluded that Frigidaire is the way to go. I decided to go for it and AM SO HAPPY I DID. I kid you not when I say I actually enjoy doing laundry now that we have this unit. It’s so nice to not be crawling on the floor to use our washer and to actually be able to do laundry standing again, despite the small closet. This unit cleans very thoroughly (we had a sick dog and lots of icky blankets and towels- everything came out completely fresh and clean), is quieter than the stackable was, and has zero issues two months in. Good ol’ classic upright washing action in an actual tub of water- ah. Both the washer and dryer are surprisingly spacious- more so than they look in product images. We’re able to fit our clothing loads as well as large blankets or loads filled with multiple blankets and towels easily. I love love love that the washer has a water level adjustment along with all the other basic options, and without any unnecessary frills. Both machines work efficiently- I don’t notice them taking any longer than the stackable units did, and I am pleasantly surprised with how quickly the dryer works. My only complaints: I don’t like how hitting ‘cancel’ doesn’t always turn the unit ‘off’ (as in lights out), we are annoyed with the beeping signals with no option to turn off, and I would prefer to be able to open the washer lid at any time (it locks during cycle). This isn’t a sponsored review or anything, we are just so happy with this purchase after having dealt with years of issues and moldy clothes with the stackable we had previously, and I want to share with others that these units, at least this one, is definitely worth it! Don’t be discouraged by anyone trying to convince you to get the ‘cool new thing’- if you like the functionality of an upright washer but are limited in space, you may be like us and end up way happier with a laundry center!

The dryer stopped working within 6 months. The warranty repair service company can't get a part. It's been 8 weeks now with no working dryer.

You can't do light loads I put in a set of sheets and it will stop at spinning and will not continue. I had a service man come out and look at it and was told to add more clothes. I paid a lot of money for this unit and I should be able to do light and heavy loads. Not really satisfied. Then when you call or try to email the website is so lame can't do a complete email. Even writing this review a black box comes up with guidelines and won't disappear when you are typing...You need an IT person. Anyway recommend another brand unless you have a large family and a lot of laundry!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine was delivered with a faulty control panel and is not functioning properly. It took a week to get a technician out to diagnose it, and now I have been waiting over a week since the diagnosis for them to locate the necessary part. Was just informed it has been on backorder for over a year. They won't replace the machine yet though, they want to keep searching for the part. Meanwhile my tenants have been without laundry for close to four weeks. Very disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked my last washer so much held on to it for 20 years but this one is even better.

I've two problems with this dryer: first, the lint collector is so small and whenever you take out the clothes, there'll be lint all over and am afraid after a while it will clog up the vent. I don't have a small enough vacuum to suck it up. The second problem is the time it takes to dry the clothes; I don't know if it's to save energy that it is running slow and not enough heat generated but it's counter-intuitive because it takes so much more time to dry.
