Customer Reviews for GE 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range in Stainless Steel with Self Clean

I spent hours researching ovens and reading a million (not really but it felt like it) reviews! I've had this oven for about 2 weeks and so far no complaints. The oven is insulated well and doesn't make the house hot when it's in use. The handle and other parts also do not get hot to the touch on the outside when the oven is on (good if you have little ones). There is an oven light that is very bright and it can be turned on by a switch on top of the oven, so need to open the oven door to see your food. The metal grates on the stove top are nice and sturdy and can easily be wiped down after each use. The clock on the oven is bright and has a nice LED color to it. Also, the oven preheats very quickly. One of the main reviews I read on other ovens is that the oven does not hold it's temperature and is not accurate. This is NOT the case for this oven. It cooks perfectly! The racks inside the oven are sturdy and not flimsy. Again, other oven reviews I read is that the racks are flimsy, not the case here. The burner knobs are also sturdy. The oven also has two broil settings (high and low) and a delayed cooking feature. So far no complaints here, I'm glad I took the time to review other ovens and decided on this oven. I would definitely buy it again!

Love the modern stainless steel look...fits perfectly in my kitchen. Plenty of space to cook For large dinner parties. Incredibly intuitive...has all the essential elements and doesn't require a manual to figure out.

I had my other GE for 30 yrs.never had a problem, I just hope this one last as long!!

So far so good. It is a great appliance. I enjoy all the different levels of heat temperatures on the stove.

its difficult to calibrate. guy has to cone out wont go to needed temperature

This G E Gas range has an oven which is calibrated to the correct temperature. It will be easy to clean because it has the self-cleaning feature.

Stove is functional. Appears durable. EXCEPTIONALLY FUNCTIONAL SO FAR.

I love cooking with gas. The appliance works great. The only thing I don’t like is the drawer. It is hard to push back in. Not sturdy enough.

I wish the oven light would come on when you open the oven door. Ridiculas you have a switch you must turn on.

It sucks when a brand new dishwasher falls apart and burns into heating element.

Great gas range light wieght frame and also strong, only Issue we found is there are very sharp edges underneath the range which are somewhat dangerous

This is the first Gas range I have ever had. Still adjusting. The biggest problem I have is that I don’t like the smell of gas when the oven is running.
