Excellent A/C unit.. Quiet & powerful. J ust remember this. If the unit was delivered on its side or NOT up and down like it will be in the window. YOU MUST let it sit a few hours in the correct position so that the internal cooling components can adjust back to factory standards. OR ELSE the unit may not blow cold for a while. Remember this. Simple solution for when any a/c unit does not blow cold out of the box.!! ;-)

They pulled them the night before, we pulled-up first thing in the morning and installed them that afternoon. All worked great!

My room is only 150 square feet. It does not help at all. The first night it ran great after that it just blows room temp air around. It is not what I expected. If I still had the box it would be going back.

      Not the best
I bought this ac a couple months ago and it’s not that great. It does make your room cold, but it’s loud and since the day I bought it’s made a hissing noise. Very annoying!! I have very little choices due to the size of my window. Don’t waste your $$.

Hello- We are sorry to hear you are having this issue with your air conditioner. This is not the ownership experience we want for you. A pinging noise caused by water being picked up and thrown against the condenser on rainy days or when the humidity is high. This design feature helps remove moisture and improve efficiency. If you believe there is an issue with your air conditioner, please review page 17 in your manual to make a warranty claim. https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/83/83b61231-6236-4fb8-b865-bf718832fc25.pdf If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly. Was kind of disappointed the vents that go left and right do not matter they still just blow straight. Also, there is no up-and-down motion on the vents and is quite loud.

So noisy. Awful. Would have returned but I took too long. Also sounds like liquid is being thrown around in there.

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to write a review. Our apologies to hear that you’re not loving your new air conditioner and that it is louder than anticipated. Air conditioners have a "slinger ring" around the rear fan blade. The fan is designed to pick water up off the bottom of the pan and throw it against the condenser coils. This design feature helps improve the efficiency of the unit by reducing heat on the coils and helps remove some of the condensation and rain water from the pan. Water will collect in the base pan and may even overflow and drip outside during periods of high humidity or on rainy days. This is normal operation. We hope this is informative and encourage you to reach out if there is anything we can help with. Take care. Lauren@GEA GE_Appliances

A great a/c unit. Quite too
This is a really nice unit. When the compressor kicks in you barely notice it. I love the eco mode since it turns on/off based on room temp that you set. The remote is definitely an added bonus and easy to use
