In remodeling my kitchen, I chose GE Profile because of its appearance and quality.

We absolutely are in love with this oven! We love everything about it- from the cool features such as AIR FRY to steam cleaning! The temperature is perfect for connection baking or roasting- my last oven didn't cook at the temperature selected- always under what it should have been. But this oven is spot on! And it is WiFi connected! It lets me know on my phone when it's preheated or I can turn it on or off by phone. Plus I can look up recipes with the connected app! LOVE THIS OVEN!!!!

Today we review the GE Profile 30 in. Smart Single Electric Wall Oven with Convection Self-Cleaning in Stainless Steel. Among its highlighted features are: Precision cooking automatically adjusts temperature and cook time 7 in. touch screen makes it easy and fun to program the oven Hot air frying achieves crispy, never greasy fried food results So this oven is basically supposed to be the smartest oven for the home owner available at a competitive price (at the time of this review it is listed below $3000). Not only can you can the barcode of the product you'll be cooking to prepare the oven for cooking, but the manufacturer also claims that the oven can move through each of the heating stages automatically after scanning the product barcode utilizing food manufacturer cooking instructions online. Now drawing upon my experience having worked as a baker in a Panera Restaurant, a deli master in the deli department at Jewel Foods and most recently as a team member for Dominos, this claim of fully automated cooking made me dubious. When comparing the claims to the reality of the typical steps listed for the most common frozen food items which I could find in my chest freezer, I found that their claims were only partially credible. The reason being because this oven, like every other oven I know of in the commercial restaurant industry, is not equipped to turn food over, still contents of pans, nor does this oven have a humidity sensor that I could identify by the parts diagram. This is not to say that this is a bad oven. Rather a more accurate reality is that this oven has the ability to reduce the mundane and menial tasks we sometimes have when cooking in an oven. Additionally, barcode scanning product also presents the ability to prevent user temperature and timing errors.

We are upgrading the kitchen and decided to obtain the new GE Profile 30 in. Smart Single Electric Wall Oven with Convection in Stainless Steel. This oven is 5 cu. ft. capacity, and very high tech, using a 7 inch touch screen for programming and operation. No need to preheat this oven when using convection and hot air frying modes. I am very impressed with the features and performance of the oven. The oven has multiple modes of operation, including bake, convection bake, broil hot air frying, and precision cooking for specific foods. Controlling the oven using the WiFi connection is a very nice feature for slow cooking meats while away from home, or having peace of mind that it’s turned off while at work. It has a new scan-to-cook technology, which allows you to scan a barcode on the package with your smartphone and phone app, allowing the oven to adjust the settings automatically. It comes with 2 racks, one being a sliding rack which is ideal for holding heavy loads. It does take some effort to learn all of the features. However, the instructions are well written and using the touch screen is intuitive and user friendly. Highly recommended for the modern kitchen!!

This review is for the General Electric Model number PTS7000SN1SS 30 inch wall oven. This oven is a combination conventional oven and a convection oven. First let me say that this is a beautiful looking oven. The stainless steel is really nice. Sounds strange to say that about an oven, but my wife cares how the kitchen looks so this is important. The first thing that I noticed, and it is noticeable, is how VERY long it takes for the oven to preheat. Hope your not in a hurry because it will take awhile to reach, oh say, 350. My 20-year-old oven was much faster. I’ve been told that the difference between my old oven and the new one is because my old oven had an EXPOSED heating element, and the new oven has a COVERED heating element. On the flip side, it takes a long time for the oven to cool down because it is so well insulated. For energy consumption that is a BIG plus. I was anxious to try the convection part of the oven so I took a chance and tried using it on a Prime Rib Roast. The first thing I noticed was how quiet the convection heating is. I didn’t realize it was on until I opened the door and saw the fan moving. From what I have read, convection requires three sources of heat to work correctly. Some ovens only have 2, but this oven has 3. This oven also has a setting called “auto recipe conversion”. Convection cooks hotter due to the hot air so the oven compensates for that by reducing the temperature slightly. Very cool. Another great feature is one of the oven racks slides out on what seems like ball bearings, (see photo). This was a great help with the prime rib in that it made, picking it up from the oven very easy, and should be really helpful with something like a heavy turkey on Thanksgiving. I can’t understand how I waited as long as I did to get convection. The roast not only cooked faster, but the quality of the roast was fantastic. Very juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. Delicious. It should be pointed out that food in covered dishes wont gain anything from convection since the hot air can’t reach the food if its covered. There a many other settings, but I haven’t had time to try yet such as Precision Cooking, Air Fry, and Proof (homemade cinnamon rolls, yummy!!) Should be interesting. Really looking forward to trying them. Something that might not be important to some people is that the oven light comes on automatically when the door is opened. On my old oven I had a switch (this also has a switch if you feel the need to turn it on to see how things look as they cook). Something bugs me (other than the SLOW preheat….nothing is perfect) is the Wi Fi. Yes, it has Wi Fi. It is part of the controls, which for the most part, are extremely easy to use and very well thought out. I tried for over an hour to try and get the Wi Fi connected to my internet. It refused to make a connection. Not a big deal because I don’t know if I would even use it, but it’s there and would have liked to set it up anyway. I have a washer and dryer with WI Fi (not GE) and I was able to connect to that app with no problems at all. My son is an IT expert so I may have to ask him for help when he visits from Nashville. Overall, I love this oven. It puts my 20-year-old oven to shame. If you want what I think is an excellent 30-inch oven, this is for you.

This is one of the nicest looking built in ovens I have ever seen. Very high tech with WiFi connection and works with Alexa, Google, IFTTT, Nest, Proprietary App. As it stated, "GE Guaranteed Fit", It did just that. It fit perfectly with no adjustments needed and the connection was the easiest I have ever seen. One worry I have so far is with the apps needed to operate this oven from my smart device. The ratings are low with most people saying they do not feel comfortable with the requirements and information needed to install the app. Hopefully GE will update their apps if there is an issue. This oven arrived with no issues as it was boxed very securely. Installed very easily and set up was also a breeze. Looks great, I recommend.

"A very Fancy Wall Oven", that is what my daughter told me after I replaced the old wall oven with this new GE Profile wall oven. Indeed, it is very fancy and at the same time very attractive and playful. It opened up a new horizon of culinary arts in our kitchen. We love it, and cannot stop talking about it. I am so happy that GE is always ahead of technology and keeping us all wondering! It is amazing what GE has made it possible for us to enjoy life by cooking everything with this ultra-modern oven which is capable of Precision cooking, autopilot mode, Hot air frying, controlling the oven with "Anywhere control with remote notifications", Scan-to-cook technology, Precision temperature probe, etc.

The GE Profile 30in. Smart Single Electric Wall Oven with convection self-cleaning in stainless steel is an amazing oven. There are so many features with this oven I can not list them all. First of all it has a brilliant 7in. touch display for easy programing. I think the no-preheat option is great to save some time and electricity. The never scrub heavy-duty smooth glide racks with a roller rack will help with heavy foods like a turkey. I will have to wait a few months to have this oven installed and really have the pleasure of cooking with this outstanding oven.

GE is the worst company ever. Not only did our old Profile oven literally catch fire and melt on the inside and almost burn down our house, the new one came in and immediately started with an error of F7E. suggestions were to flip the breaker for 10-15 minutes which I did and it worked again for a short time. Later that same day the keys became unresponsive at all. I contacted GE on a Monday and had to re-troubleshoot everything. Eventually after about and hour of doing the same things I had told her I ALREADY had done twice in most cases the lady told me it looks like its a bad keypad and we will schedule service. The earliest they could schedule service was for the next Thursday, 10 days later! We had already been without an oven for over a month at this point. The Tuesday before the call the technician contacts me and says it's the keypad I need to order one and it will take about a week. Why didn't they order it when I was told what it was 8 days prior? Needless to say this is going back and I will never purchase a GE product ever again.

I like this All-in-One design, it’s so convenient.

We have had our oven for 1 mos and so far we are very happy! I love the way it cooks. Food retains its moisture. Features are fun but practical as well. I have used the WiFi feature to pre heat ( I have been home though) and the timer which alerted me on my phone when cooking was complete. ( Had been outside gardening and didn’t hear the timer go off so this was very helpful). The overall appearance of the oven is very attractive, oven is quiet even in convection mode and oven door closes nicely. Convection roast is a favorite setting of mine, and the chicken breasts I baked came out beautifully brown. I love all the features of this oven , the glide rack , the setting choices, and it’s easy to operate . Overall we are extremely satisfied!

Easy to figure out even for 70 year olds!😂 Food is coming out cooked as expected for the time indicated on the recipe. Outside easy to keep clean.

It gets hot however the fan runs all the time, even when you don't want it to run because it will dry out whatever is baking.

We love it! The screen and WiFi capability for preheat and setting a timer is nice.

Wifi function is a nice upgrade. Only knock is the app feature does not allow you to access the warming feature, plus the warming feature only goes down to 170 degrees whereas our previous oven was able to hold food at 140. At 170 you aren’t holding food you are still cooking it.

This is an excellent microwave. It has multiple heating and defrosting features that make heating and cooking much easier. I'm never worried that meat will go bad because the defrosting time is so quick compared to when I leave meat out on the counter to defrost. My favorite feature about this microwave is that it can be used as a regular convection oven. I save a lot of energy when I have small things to bake or roast. I no longer need to heat up the larger oven, which requires a lot more energy and would be almost empty.

Love my new oven and its versatility! Easy to use and program. Looks great as well Only thing that would make it better is if I had received some form of a user manual either on line or printed

Really enjoy our new oven. It cooks well, was easy enough to install and start working. Clean, new, and fresh.

I received and installed this oven (model PTS7000SN4SS), but the screws to attach the bottom trim are too large and don't fit the holes on the oven. I contacted GE, and they sent me another pair of screws, but again they are too large and don't fit the hole. So I have been unable to attach the bottom trim to the oven.

Still haven’t got the use down - air fry is not as good as my smaller units are so need to see what needs to be done

We upgraded all of our appliances to stainless steel. This is a beautiful oven. A bit more complicated than the previous one. Cooks beautifully. And it looks great in our kitchen

Oven requires significantly more time to pre-heat than our previous GE. In addition, nearly every recipe requires 10-30% more time. We are to the point of buying a temperature gauge to audit temps On the other hand, it is prettier than the 20 year oven it replaced !

Love the features and connection to wifi. I have only used the oven so far, but interested in trying all the other cooking options
