We wanted to add a handheld shower to the existing fixed shower head, and this Glacier Bay Shower Diverter in Brushed Nickel made it possible. It fits standard 1/2" shower arms and handheld hoses. Simply remove the old shower head, clean the threads, wrap with teflon tape (not included) and screw on the diverter. Don’t over tighten! Then attach the shower head and handheld hose to the diverter’s outlets. Pull the knob up to divert water to the shower hose (lower outlet), or push it down for the shower head (straight-through outlet). Note that it’s “either/or” - It does not have a “middle setting” that sends water both ways at the same time. The pics are from a chrome version I installed in another shower, but the shape and operation are identical. We’ve been using it for a week so it’s too soon to tell how it will hold up, but it feels well made. Model #3075-548

Have been wanting to add a handheld shower to my shower stall for awhile now. Picked up this diverter to add to my current shower head so I could attach sprayer. This was easy to install and made of high quality material. The 3 way selector was a great surprise because we can now operate both the shower and the sprayer or one of the other. So glad I got this.

item feels solid and looks good. One of the two I bought leaked out of the box, but surprisingly stopped leaking after a couple days so I haven't returned it.

I bought a shower diverter recently, but I returned it because I needed a 3-way diverter, and this one was only a 2-way. Now I have bought and used this exact diverter before and it worked perfectly. It was well made had a little heft to it. It was 100% metal, no plastic at all! Would buy it again if it was what I needed.

EZ to install Works smooth, very nice

Leaks a little from the connection. Don’t like the fact that it spins vs staying in a fixed position.

The diverter leaked at the swivel joint and could not be tightened.

Too short for needs. Had to get longer pipe for shower bead and handheld to be able to fit and not be pushed against wall.

Did not use. A different item was used instead which was from Home Depot.

Difficult to get a proper seal. Washer repeatedly became inserted into the threaded portion of pipe from the wall. It took multiple attempts to get the washer to remain seated in the divider for tight seal.

The diverter push/pull leaked.

No, still cant figure out how to use it.

Very pleased with performance

Got this to add a shower wand to my shower. I was adjusting my showerhead as I have to regularly in my shower setup when it broke and came crashing down on my foot. Can't say that I recommend it and will see how the replacement does but at $30 a pop I will not buy another one.
