I like this, it was fairly easy to install and looks very nice. However, every couple of weeks it slips and I wake up to a pile of shower curtain to deal with and have to re-install it. I'm going to try to hold on to this as much as possible but the slippage is annoying. I just fixed it this morning and an hour later it was slipping again on one side, making the curve slip and change shape.

Looks nice, easy instructions, but a MAJOR problem. The end tube assembly piece (step 5 in the instructions) will not tighten, and therefore it will not hold twnsion. Atter trying for 45 minutes, I took it back apart (multiple times) and there is no visible threads or any mechanism to create tension. It just spins around. Others mentioned this in their reviews, and I discunfed it. Big mistake on my part. Live and learn. Walk away from this product. Its total crap. Its nit wven worth the 35 minute drive each way to Home Depot to return it. Total waste, mass frustration late at night

I love products that go up easy and fast. This is one of them. Also like the curved design and how tight it fits

It was easy to install and easy to adjust to your opening.I would recommend this product even if you are not Handy you could install it.

I just installed one of these so I'm reviewing it while the experience is fresh on my mind. Firstly, it seems to do what it says it will. After installation it seems very tight and I don't expect any issues with it slipping or falling down. It is installed between two smooth ceramic tiles, which I expect is the optimal scenario. I was able to do everything by myself but the one place where an assistant would have been useful is during final installation, especially leveling it. Beyond that I am disappointed with a couple of things: 1) Finish. It is not chrome. I don't believe there is a bit of chrome anywhere on it - not even on the end caps. Knowing that it is made of "rustproof" aluminum I'm guessing they just polished the pieces to a relatively bright finish and figured it would fool most of us. Polished aluminum will never look as nice as chrome plating and certainly the "finish" will not last nearly as long. I can't comment on the other available finishes but no doubt they are no more permanent than this one. 2) End caps. THEY ARE HUGE! I guess that is necessary to cover mounting brackets large enough to provide a reliable friction fit. But what's with the oversized oval holes? This is not necessary and it looks like crap. Lastly, after tightening the rod as much as seems possible before blowing out the single point setscrew that sets the length, both end caps still flop around on the mounting brackets! I get that it is a nearly impossible task to make an adjustable curved rod that can be kept in place with tension alone, but this seems more like a first cut than a refined design. And the finish leaves a lot to be desired as well. I give it three stars for functionality.

Easy to install, instructions were spot on, I did the install alone but some help would have been nice. It is a well engineered product, great finish, we bought it to move edges of curtain further into shower to keep water off of bath floor, it does a great job, bath floor stays dry! We are going to buy one for our other shower!

Yes with qualification. The tension mount is not as easy an install as a screwed-in one. It works but is a bit of a pain to do This is due to the difficulty of holding the rod steady while trying to install it. As a result, I'd give it a 3.5. Four things: 1) Make sure the long thin plastic insert fits in-between the two rods first. 2) To set the rod length, you will need to grab the point where the two rods meet; an extra set of hands may help. 3) The pointed set screw then locks the rod length - absolutely critical step. 4) Then it's a matter of turning the one-side until the tension locks the shower curtain rod against the opposing walls.

I chose this rod because I wanted a rust-proof, self-supporting rod without brackets being drilled into my tile walls. I'll admit I was skeptical about the rod's particular installation method and design having just installed another store/manufacturer's product with similar installation method that failed miserably and fell within hours. The method is to expand for rough fit...then tighten and expand on end for final fit /tension without a traditional tension spring. Now that it's installed, I think this rod will perform much better (stay in place!) due to a couple aspects. First, the rod end that contacts the wall is much larger diameter, probably twice as large as other product. Second, the gel-like surface that contacts the wall seems to resist slipping better. I could see and feel the tension building up as I did the final tighten, which wasn't the case with the other brand's failed rod. Some people have mentioned the singe set screw holding the 2 rods together. It probably would be a good idea to have 2 small screws connecting the rods instead of 1. All it would take is the drilling of an additional hole in the one half of the rod and would probably add more alignment stability too. Really when you think about it, all the tension is on that 1 screw so 2 would be better. I wasn't looking to buy a curved rod but it was the only one that was rust-proof/no brackets in stock so I went ahead and got it. Now that it's installed, it looks great, and I can see will be nice to have the extra room. I am hoping it stays put on the wall!

I had a hard time finding a curved rod that required no drilling holes in the wall, so when I found this I was skeptical that it would do what it says. Well it does exactly what it says and I couldn’t be happier. All the extra space and elegant appearance of a brushed nickel curved shower rod, with none of the headache. I live in an apartment so the fewer holes I make / have to patch up, the better.

Let's try this again. I've already submitted a review for this product, but somehow my submission went to a different shower rod (so much for the "nifty" Home Depot app..) Sure, easy to set up, even easier for it to fall down. Loosened the screw and the tension rod, extended the bar and had someone tighten the screw and the tension only to have it fall on its own numerous times. NOT worth it, will be returning.

Easier to install with 2 people. Would recommend this product for price and design.

I really like this rod and it was easier to install than the straight one which I purchased for another bathroom. I think it will make the tub shower feel bigger.

Dont even think about buying this. I won’t even call it a product. Its beyond trash. It uses a 2mm little screw to keep the tension on the entire rod. The two pieces fit together using w tiny piece of plastic. It’s impossible to get the right tension here. Basically that little screw wore out and now when you get the right length, you tighten the screw, fit it in, and then the left side extends when you turn it. When the tension invariably begins to overwhelm that pathetic little screw, whatever tension you gain by turning the left just runs the bar past that screw. The bar doesnt even look good. Not to mention the covers on both side dont stick/snap at all, and theyre constantly moving (even when the bar is level), and your hooks will run into them and it’ll move and make a clanking sound. Not to mention you need to use two L wrenches just to screw the bar into the holders. Shame on Home Depot for carrying this garbage, and charging $50 for it.

Bought this to replace a cheap Menards shower rod that was in house when I moved in. Thought I would try a more expensive shower rod from Home Depot. Very easy to install, put up two weeks ago, time will tell true meaning of rust resistant.

Very easy to install and no mess at all! What an awesome upgrade from what we had before!

I like the Bronze look of this rod. It has an elegant look to it. Most tubs seem to have the shower curtain clinging to you because it is too close to you. This one is curved so it gives you more room where you stand in the tub. Then tension feature makes this rod pretty quick installation. I was a little concerned before I installed it if the curtain hangers would catch on the adjustable part of the rod. We hung the curtain and it slides right over it with ease. Check out my pics.

This piece of trash doesn't work at all. it doesn't get tight enough to actually hold up a shower curtain. I even added spacers to make it tighter. The rod literally bent from the tension, BUT STILL WOULDNT HOLD A SHOWER CURTAIN. This is the biggest waste of money I have spent in a long time. Tge screw that holds the 2 rods together strips out at the slightest tension, and then you're screwed because you can't get it back out. I would pay $5 for one of these again.

It initially held it’s tension for the couple months it was up then after a bathroom remodel it refused to hold its tension. The same type paint was used. I was looking to replace this new rod with a new one over the weekend and it saw on the packaging at Home Depot where it came from, which I no longer have, it can also be mounted. I have screws. I’m sure the ones that actually came with it would be somewhere on the workbench or I recommend not buying this product if you don’t plan on mounting it because it won’t stay.

Tried to return due to It rusting. Home depot would not warrenty whst they sold. Package says rust proof but home depot on warranty 90 days. Had to buy another one. Home depot does not warranty there products
