Freezer is great! I especially like the max cool feature. Freezes everything rock solid quickly, even after a large restocking. The big casters and foot pedal door opener are a big plus. Rolls very easily when it needs to be moved. Easy hands free door opening when hands are full of restocking items. This freezer is in my garage, so far no issues even with the near 100 degree days. Only had it a few weeks so I can’t speak to longevity. The shelves are fine and the sliding baskets work great and hold plenty. The door compartments are a favorite for quick and easy access items. The only down side was the delivery. The delivery crew did not know how to assemble the casters and foot pedal door opener. I had to do that myself after undoing what they did wrong. Fairly easy to do though. Just follow the included instructions.

I’ve had it for two weeks - so far so good. No complaints - it’s fairly quiet and works. I need to figure out how to position the wheel locks to make opening the door easier (the pedal works great). The only hiccup came with the delivery - Home Depot doesn’t bite in the delivery paperwork that the wheels and foot pedal needs to be assembled, but the delivery guys did it anyway.

All the high quality features advertised are well worth the price. Also is made in “Canada “!

If you want to ruin all frozen food, buy this freezer. I bought it a week ago and the freezer isnt getting anywhere near cold enough, even on the deep freeze/max cool setting. It cant keep ice frozen. All my food is spoiled. Pleaese implement better quality control.

We had to put the front plates and wheels on it, which was unexpected. We thought it would be hooked up and put in place like any other appliance we have ordered. But it was easy and matches the other gladiator pieces nicely.

This has to be one of the best freezer’s out there. I am in awe over this garage feeezer. The decor is just great for the garage theme. I especially enjoy opening the freezer with the foot latch. And so much room in the bins and shelves. Thank you, Cecilia

Freezer is good looking, good size and functional. I have it only for a couple of weeks. Will see if it is quality product. Delivery was disappointing and came a few week later than original delivery date

Very happy with our purchase. Easy to open, easy to stuff full, easy to move around.

We've had it a few weeks now. It's a great freezer and being able to wheel it around is really useful. But we have a couple of issues which prevents 5 stars. I swapped the door over but found it did not fit quite as tightly as it should and had to swap it back. It needs an extra shelf, which I eventually bought: you can only order it by calling the manufacturer and staying on hold for as long as it takes, which could be hours. It needs more baskets designed to fit as stacking frozen foods is not efficient. Appropriate third party baskets are hard to find. Finally I'd prefer more than 3 temperature settings. But overall we really like it. Incidentally the Home Depot delivery drivers were excellent.

We love this garage freezer. It is really heavy duty, on wheels, with a kick plate to open the door. It has more room than we needed but it is filling up fast. This allows us to slowly stock up on foods and make fewer trips to the grocery store.

This is a great freezer, perfect for the garage. The step to open the freezer door adds convenience when your hands are full. The finish shows no dust or fingerprints. Nice.

It's been awesome to have the stand-up freezer. With the shelves, basket, and door spaces, we've been able to get organized and not feel you have to dig around to find what you want. Every once in a while, the step to open the door doesn't engage, which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Gladiator's quality control is lacking. First of all, I had to wait months for this freezer to be delivered but that is not unexpected with the world in lock down. When the freezer was finally delivered yesterday it did not work. It will not cool at all. In fact after 24 hours the freezer is warmer than the garage in Texas. There's no way this should have gotten past either Whirlpool or Gladiator's quality control but it did and now I'm having to wait over a week to get a repairman out here to figure out what is wrong with this brand new unused unit.... Very frustrating.

In all fairness to Gladiator, they offered to install the wheels and foot pedal at no cost to me and I’m therefore increasing my prior one star rating to 4 stars. I still believe it would be preferable if the freezer is shipped with both the wheels and pedal pre-installed.

Echoing some of the other comments, this seems like a great freezer. However, I have not been able to use it yet since the Home Depot delivery guys literally only deliver it and you will have to do the setup of the wheels and foot pedal yourself. I have a bad back and am not able to tip the appliance on its side, not even with the help of another person, in order to install the wheels and foot pedal. In addition, not being a DIY person, I don’t have a hand truck with four wheels and a tie-down strap lying around my house, unlike some of the other reviewers here. I find it baffling that the manufacturer does not sell this premium product with the casters and foot pedal pre-installed. I now have to find two people to do it for me, adding to the cost and hassle. And to rub salt into my wounds, I purchased this item for $1,199 just a week ago and now that I’m writing this review, it’s for sale at $1,079.

We were looking for a black freezer to set up in our shop to help reduce the visible dust and shop messes from showing up as easy. We love that it rolls around to clean behind it and change the layout as needed. The shelves are super sturdy and it’s so much more organized than our chest freezer!
