The cabinet arrived as scheduled and the box had minor damage but the parts were not damaged. Lots of Styrofoam pieces protected the parts well. The assembly was fairly simple and at a relaxed pace only took 3 hours. There were extra screws and nuts incase you drop one. The assembly was very similar to the other Gladiator units I purchased. One person could do the assembly but two to set the unit in place helps. The only comment is that I wish I could have ordered one more shelf. Once fully assembled, the cabinet was pretty rigid. I would recommend this for a normal garage. There are nicer options for garage area set up, but they end up being twice the cost.

Ordered 2 large cabinet units. Online purchase was efficient, picking up at local store saved shipping. All parts were sent, took about 2 hours to assemble by myself; all holes lined up neatly and parts were easily assembled. Will purchase more as the cabinets are on sale. Wife loves the neat look for the garage and these cabinets are a big improvement on open shelves. Grandchildren loved using the box and cardboard packing contents for art projects.

Purchased 2 extra large gearboxes and modular workbench. Took handyman approximately 6 hours total to assemble and mount on the wall. Product seems sturdy and well made. The boxes did not come with materials to mount on the wall and I had a difficult time trying to find the brackets that work with the unit. (You need to buy both the gear tracks as well as the metal brackets). Would have been helpful if this information was specified on the box. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and amount of items that fit into these units. They look very nice in our carport.

Ordered this cabinet and had it shipped to store. It arrived…..damaged. Contacted Home Depot to have another sent and they offered to ask the manufacturer package the box with extra padding, ship it to my home, have it unpacked/inspected and have the shipping materials taken away. It just arrived less than 10 minutes ago…….damaged. The damage both times appears to be from forklift handling. There was not extra packaging from the manufacturer….it was shipped (both times) in the product box. I suspect that the weight and awkwardness of the box makes it prone to damage. The manufacturer may want to consider packing in two boxes rather than one extremely heavy box. Rather than send the entire thing back and wind up with even more damage we're having a replacement part shipped……another wait of as much as 14 days. So much for our origin deadline of having the cabinet installed last week! My original order was on the 6th. At this point, I'm HOPING it all goes together as easily as the smaller cabinets I purchased along with this one (one of those arrived damaged as well, but the damage was on a back corner so I opted to just keep it). Wow, what a mess! Probably my worst HD purchase yet.

Have been using this for several months. Plenty of storage space for all my stuff. My garage looked like a tornado went it through it until I got these I was able to put up all my stuff. Thanks for a well built and easy to assembly storage unit Gladiator!

The cabinet was easy to assemble with clear directions and well-labeled parts. Only problem was some of the screw holes on the rear side weren't threaded so I have to tap them in order to finish it.

Great cabinet for the money. I ordered the hammered granite finish. It looks really good compared to other brands.

Great overall experience. Cabinet arrived for in-store pick up in a reasonable timeframe (within a couple weeks). No damage or scratches upon arrival, well packed, easy assembly, medium weight, looks sharp! Will eventually buy a second marching cabinet to set next to this one.

These cabinets are constructed well with quality materials. First one difficult to assemble but next assembly faster. Two were damaged on delivery and difficulty getting resolved.

Your site suggested I add wheels to I bought them but the ones shipped would not fit this cabinet

Really nice looking strong and sturdy cabinet. Pretty straight-forward to put together, although a second set of hands is helpful for parts of the assembly.

Very well-made like how deep it is and may able to fit 5 gallon paint buckets inside plenty of room. I would buy it again.

Love the cabinet which provides plenty of storage. However, there was a bit of a struggle with getting the cabinet. No fault of Home Depot but the manufacturer should box / pack the cabinet better. I initially ordered a cabinet online and had the cabinet delivered directly to my home. The box arrived badly damaged. After opening box, one side panel, which was located as the last piece to remove from the box as my luck would have it, was bent to the point where it could not be used. Called Home Depot support who they were great. The support rep checked with the manufacturer to see if the side panel could be simply be sent to me as a replacement and it could not. My options were to re-box the cabinet and either ship back or return to the store. Luckly, I have a pickup truck and I optioned to return the cabinet to a Home Depot store. The return at Home Depot went smoothly. I ordered a replacement cabinet online and I had this cabinet shipped to the Home Depot store for pickup. After several days, cabinet was available for pickup. Obviously, before taking possession of this cabinet, I inspected the box for damage which did have some minor damage but all parts were okay. Cabinet was easy to put together although the instructions were clear they could be slightly better. The pictures for the instructions should be made a little larger. The only downfalls for me for this cabinet: 1. The process to finally get a cabinet. 2. Poor packaging of the cabinet. 3. The cabinet shelves do not have flexibility to be located as needed. There are holes drilled into the sides of the cabinet for shelf installation. For those who are handy, you may be able to drill your own set of holes to locate a shelf where is needed.

box came with damaged parts we had to hammer to flatten parts bottom tray is thin!

not hard to put together done it myself no help i have owned cabinets for probably 6 years prior to this purchase thats why i bought newest i like look of product wellmade my garage is best in neiborhood

Nice cabinet, solid and well-designed. All parts fit, good instructions. Way sturdier than typical fiberboard or plastic cabinets. Only reason not 5 stars is it does have a large number of parts for assembly.

This is an awesome cabinet. Well built, sturdy. I have 10 of these in my garage I store everything from electrical parts, cordless power tools, household supplies, and canned goods and food.

Instructions could be written with better pictorial/ detail. Otherwise it looks ok. I had another Gladiator cabinet that I had bought previously assembled that helped me understand the instructions.

I received two of the four foot wide Extra Large Gear Box cabinets. They came in sturdy packaging and were well protected. Assembly was easy and straight forward. The finished products were sturdy, balanced and cavernous. I did put lining on the shelves to protect them from any accidental spills of stored liquids. Only one minor complaint, there are only two magnets to hold the doors shut. Three magnets would have been better. One of the doors does need a little extra shove to get it completely closed. Other than that, I expect to get a lot of useful service and would not hesitate to look at other Gladiator products in the future.

Sturdy and well packed for shipping. No dents during opening of product. Doors are solid and well made. Easy to assemble. Have had several weeks now. Very nice cabinet.
