Thanks for sending me two barrels with no plugs and no spigots. How exactly do you expect this to work? Home Depot ripped me off. Do not buy. Buyer beware you do not receive what they show you in the picture.

I bought 2 barrels online and picked them up from the store. They arrived as promised and came well-packed in corrugated. The associate also brought them out to my truck. Stored inside the barrel is the cast hose bibb, teflon tape and 2 plastic plugs. The plugs are provided in case you don't want to install the hose bibb nor an equalizing hose. I installed the hose bibb and an equalizing hose to connect two barrels together. There is a plastic debris screen on top of the barrel. I aligned the barrel with this screen directly under the rain gutter down-spout. The first storm brought about 1 1/2" of rain in our area and filled both barrels within an hour. I have a high-profile house with a steep 7 in 12 pitch asphalt roof.

This rain barr we l came with accessories on the inside which at first I thought it didn't.

Was not as advertised. Extremely disappointed. I want my money back.

It did not meet my expectations. It was shown and described that it comes with a spigot. It arrived with no spigot. So I ordered another one. Same problem. No spigot So I ordered a different one.

The quality was not good. Leaked from the first day I installed. The white plastic joint that holds the nozzle fell out after a short time. Very sloppy product.

Very nice quality, comes with grated area on top. Also comes with a plug and faucet head. Overall very pleased.

I returned it to the store the day after I got it. There was more wrong with it than I care to write about. You should question selling their products.

The only thing I didn't like is that they cut a hole in the top to put the hardware in the barrel. Otherwise the plug and spout work fine. They are full and there is no leaking.

The only issue I had was fitting the tap. It took about 8 wraps of the PTFE tape. Normally it takes 2 to 3 wraps on a normal connection, but when I did that, the water leaked out. I had to do this four times until I reached the 8 wraps of the tape before there were no leaks.

Wanted a closed water storage barrel, not a rain barrel. Came with 4" dia hole drilled in top & plastic screen. Sealed the opening with silicone & plastic disc for a dust cover. Brass faucet arrived rattling around the barrel with a broken handle. HD replaced the faucet. Good for a rain collection barrel. Not for emergency water storage.

Works great but needs a pump for better water flow.

I haven't gotten the barrel fully set up yet, but want to make this comment. The lid is not removable to minimize as far as possible the risk of drowning. There's a removable screen--about 4 inches by 4 inches in size--for hosing out the barrel. Fine, good idea. But--the barrel instructions and spigots were put inside the barrel for shipping. So I'll remove the screen to get the instructions. But why make it so difficult for your customers? Why not attach the instructions by tape to the outside of the barrel???

for holding the rain water. there was some plastic remands I had to clean out.

Yes, it meets our expectation, only there was some residue left behind inside the barrel.

Came in a huge box, picked it up at the store to save on shipping. It arrived in roughly one week. The finish is not pretty, but it is functional. The bag they use is weak so it broke and the pieces were loose inside the barrel. Just turned it upside down and everything fell out. If your downspouts run close to your walls you may have to figure out how to make them end up right above the barrel screen.

After filling with water to test for leakage, it was found that the two drain holes on the side of the rain barrel leaked after the faucet and plug were screwed in. I had to get a sealant and RE-SEAL the washers.

The Big blue rain drum arrived early and was picked up at the Home Depot customer service desk as promised. The rain drum should pay for itself by collecting rain water that ponded around our front door. Good to have it. Greg

Overall, this product was exactly what I was looking for - an easy way to test chemical showers in a research facility - I purchased 3. My only issue with the purchase was the included plug and faucet for draining. These items were sealed in a plastic bag and attached at the top of the barrel. The plastic bag had broken open in 2 of the 3 barrels, so the accessories were bouncing around inside the barrel. The accessories were still functional, though a piece of one faucet handle broke off. I would recommend finding a better way to secure the accessories that come with this product.

Barrel is of a good thick walled construction , however the bulkhead construction is of the lowest shoddy quality . The bulk heads are single sided and poorly glued in from the outside . By poorly I mean that the glue did not even completely come in contact to the outer flange . The gluing was even worse on the upper bulkhead . The faucet was of a good quality brass but definitely not meant to be used with a cheap plastic bulkhead .All the threading on the faucet did was gouge and tear the soft threads of the low quality bulkhead . This being said , I did try the fittings as directed in the instructions . The result was a very leaky mess . However I was able to correct this by removing the sub-quality bulkheads and replaced them with high-density duel sided ,duel threaded ,screw tight pressure seal bulkheads and appropriate hardened plastic fittings with great success . The top access is minimal to say the least . This I cut open to provide full access to the interior . Since the barrel is of thick walled construction , it is now water tight and very serviceable . If you are not into doing the extra work and spending the extra $100 for quality part upgrades , this barrel is not for you .

Really worth it. It saves water and money and was incredibly easy to install. I even added an extra spigot and have been so happy with this purchase. I might consider getting another one next year, if this one weather the winter well. A few notes: 1) Home Depot carried this barrel, which I wanted specifically, whereas Lowe's did not. 2) Pick up in store was pretty painless. 3) It was able to fit into the trunk of a four door sedan using bungies. 4) I didn't prop it up, so I have two heavy duty brass spigots for easier emptying. 5) A washing machine hose is a really great coupler for filling buckets manually! Ours had a bubblegum smell (from it's former life perhaps) that we really like.

Good strong plastic, that's it. Leaks, the spicket lets the water out a drip at a time, & there are blue crystals that come inside the bucket that smell of extreme peppermint. I have rinsed it many times & have it sitting in the sun for weeks now. Smell will never go away. Food grade? I don't think so. Maybe in a few months it will be usable. The description of this item doesn't mention this awful chemical.

priced high compared to quality. like the size, but leaks. Using it for reclaimed non potable water.
