This is a great bin. It is tough, It is very stackable. It is well made. I own a few other HDX bins and this is the high quality I have come to expect from them. The top is cleated so when you stack them they stay put. I live up in the mountains and have to snowmovile home. This bin is perfect! I put a picture where you can see it and the 14 gallon model stacked on the sled behind my snowmobile before I head home. The 27 gallon modle will hold quite a bit. I put a one gallon container of cleaner in the bin to give you a perspective on the size. Three of these and I could easily bring home all the groceries and more. The only thing I would mention is not a negative but just something to remember is that the edge of the lid and the container have holes. I assume it is so that you could run straps through or so that you could even put a lock on it. It has to snapping handle catches so the holes are not to keep the lid on. What you want to remember is that the buckets are not water proof. They are very water resistance but if you leave them out in the rain too long the water could seep in through those holes. That being said, I love these bins. They are built so well. As I said I own a few others and take them camping, use them to haul things on my snowmobile, or just to store things in the attic or shed. They are the best bins I have owned and this one is the same high quality.

These are really tough bins that are built from high quality materials. The 14 gallon bin is the same width and depth as the 27 gallon bin so they stack really well.The top is cleated so when you stack them they fit together really well. I love this bin. I live up in the mountains so I have to snowmobile home and these bins are perfect. As you can see by the picture with my snowmobile and sled they stack well. To give you an idea of their size I took a picture with a gallon bottle in it. You can see that the 14 gallon bin will not fit a gallon bottle of cleaner standing up. It would fit laying down but it is much better for things like mail, food boxes, or clothes. These bins are water resistant but not water proof. I took a close up of the lid and how it has holes that go through the lid. This means that if you were to leave them out in the rain, water could seep through the layers. They do hold up well for transporting even if it is in the rain. I can stack them in the back of my pickup and they are really easy to haul things. I own other HDX bins and these bins live up to the quality I have come to expect from this brand.

The HDX brand of storage bins are really well made. I have many different HDX bins in different sizes and I am pleased with all of them. The bins heavy-duty construction will hold heavy items and can be stacked. When empty, the bins can be stacked inside of each other to help save on space. The red lid construction is identical to the more common yellow lids except for color. I like the diamond pattern on the one-piece lids from HDX branded bins. I think it offers more strength than the lids of other brands that have a square pattern. The lid secures to the bin with a tight fit overall and locking tabs at the ends of the lids which keep the lids secure but are easy to open. The one-piece lid will protect the contents from water getting into the bins when compared to a flip-top bin. As long as the lid is not cracked, I don’t see how water would enter this bin. The lids can be locked to the bin using a long shackle padlock. (See Image Below) I think there would be a demand for different colored lids as a way to indicate what is stored in the bins. (Green lids garden items, Orange lids Halloween decorations?)

Light weight tote that holds a lot of tools or working materials. I like the interchangeable sizes that can stack on each other. The heavy duty plastic is durable and will not rust. In rainy climates it is perfect to keep things dry. The lids are easy to remove with the built in handles. The tote can take a beating in the back of a construction pickup.

I got my HDX 27-Gal Tough Storage Bin in Black/Red. I love it! I got it to put in my shed and have it hold all my gardening supplies, I got a smaller one for storage in-doors. The old storage bins I had are falling apart, they aren't solid and sturdy like the HDX 27-Gal Tough Storage Bin, these will last for a very long time. I recommend this bin to anyone.

I got my HDX 14-Gal Tough Storage Bin in Black/Yellow to store my Christmas Lights in, I live in a 2 Bdrm house and I don't have a lot of storage. So this storage bin will be perfect and won't be to big for the closet. This bin is very sturdy and the lid fits tightly, this will last a long time. I highly recommend the HDX 14- Gal Tough Storage Bin for all your storage needs.

The HDX 27 Gal. Tough Tote ( Made in the USA ) is one good looking storage container ,is very functional, stackable and lockable. The plastic molded container and lid is of the heavy duty type not found in most storage containers. I filled it over full of freshly split wet firewood and it took two men to carry it to the shed to stack and dry, it did not get out of shape or crack. I've used it for about one week and am very happy, so much so I'm going to get three more.

Strong enough to store your goods for any season. This well constructed storage bin is sturdy, nice distinct colors like black and yellow. Made of good quality materials is strong and functional can be stocked up over another, the lid cover has a unique design for this. Can be use to keep organized the seasonal goods, toys or so many other things around the house. Other brands will break over the time.

This is a very nice and quality storage bin. We used it recently during a families' home move during the rain. We packed it with dry goods - clothes, tarps, boots, etc. The bin is very well made. It isn't cheap plastic. There are holes on the top of the lid edge presumably for locks, or, bungy cords. The container has a lot of storage volume. The lid fits really well. It seems to be water resistant - good for usage on a cargo carrier in the rain - but not necessarily water proof as in under water. This is a very good product.

The HDX 27 gallon plastic storage bin is a good storage solution. The plastic is thick enough to support a good load and light enough to carry. The lid snaps closed without a latch and stays in place. It seals well enough to keep rodents and bugs out. The bins are designed to be stacked on other units. The base will interlock with other unit lids and are fairly stable.

First to begin, you would love this container. This container is nice and neat. Very beautiful and would store a lot of things. Another great function is that it’s stackable and can take a lot of even weight. This bin is light weight. Do not worry about breaking your back cause it is very light and not to bulky. There are pre-cut holes if you want to push through it you can easily bore it to make it breathable. It’s is worth every penny cause you don’t have to keep buying a lot of containers cause they would crack easily. This is very very sturdy. Love, Love, Love

The bin is also quite weather-tight. I left the tote out during a two day rain storm, which later turned into a freezing event, and the bin showed no signs of distress even with the lid filled with water which later turned into an ice sheet (see pictures). After dumping the ice and water, I removed the lid to find that the bin was completely dry inside so even though it doesn't have the gasket seal in the lid, the rain/ice did not reach the inside. This bin is perfect for storing and transporting, tools, camping gear, seasonal items, or anything that you need to keep organized, safe, and protected from the elements.

This 14-gallon storage bin is well made and should be able to handle tough storage conditions. Its internal dimensions measure approximately 24 x 14 x 8 inches so it will easily store a lot of items. A nice feature is that these storage bins could be stacked in a workshop to save space. Moreover, they are designed to be lockable for items of value or for protection.

These are good storage boxes for indoor use and they stack nicely. They look more heavy duty than they actually are as the lids don't seem to be UV Resistant and crack easily after being stored outside. The lids also collect water. This is why I only gave it 3 stars after losing a $1,400 tile saw I had stored inside a larger box. I would suggest that the designer reverse the lid and bottom design to reflect the design of a Lego Block so that the top fits into the bottom of an upper box. This would reduce water collecting in the lid and damaging what is stored inside. It would be nice if the lids were sold separately for replacements and make them UV Resistant. The locks on the lids break off too easily after a year or more and then go flying off on the freeway. Again, buyer beware, great for indoor storage but look more heavy duty than they actually are.

I have two older bins which are made much sturdier than the new ones. Purchased one recently and was going to use it with foam to store a telescope which weighs less than 10 pounds. Day one the cover cracked and also noticed the bottom of the box bowed outward when lifting the bin.. Extremely disappointed since my older bins of the same size have lasted years and are used to hold much heavier tools. Will return ASAP and won’t buy again

These totes are awesome. They hold a lot and stack nicely if needing to put items in storage.

These really suck, huge disappointment! Way too expensive to be this bad!! I bought 9 of these, had them one week and all of the yellow lids are cracked. The edges got bumped and cracked off. The flat middle part of the yellow lids cannot withstand any weight at all, they seem very brittle! I barely leaned against one while reaching for something and the whole thing cracked right down the middle. Total Junk! The black bottom container part seems sturdier, none of those cracked yet, but I don't have much confidence. I am going to try to exchange them for others.

We really like these. They are the perfect size for smaller, heavier items and they are stackable. We have a bunch of these stacked up in our storage shed which saves on space and reduces clutter.

Pretty much everything you could ask for in a storage bin.

drilled small hole in the side at 5 inches high to create a sub-irrigated planter (with a pipe in the bottom to create a reservoir. very sturdy construction. hold up well even when full of a lot of weight. much more economical than planters marketed for the purpose for the amount of grow space you get (i used the 27 gallon version).

I buy them for work and for home.very durable and lived that they stack perfectly!

I like the product because it was the biggest size I could find and it is durable and the top stays shut and is stackable

Organized My Craft/Sewing Room Perfectly ! !

Used this tote to start baby chicks and baby ducks in. Easy to clean when needed with a garden hose. Have one extra to transfer babies into and then clean the other one. No leaks from water or manure.
