First time laying hardwood and this floor was a breeze. Easy to install, easy to cut, and looks great.
I was looking for a floor to break up the sea of carpet on my second level. This floor exceeded expectations. The instructions were easy to follow and the floor went down without any problems. Tied it into a top stair tread and the look is seamless. I would certainly recommend this floor, and if I can do it as a first time installer, I'm sure almost any weekend DIY person could tackle this, or have a professional take care of it.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We reached out to the MFG to find out more information & below are the response from them. “Thank you for taking the time to review Home Legend product. Each case covers 25.625 sq. ft.; due to required cuts some wastage is customary and an extra 5% should be factored in for culling and wastage. “

This is an excellent product.
We are so pleased with our bamboo floor. The Harvest color matches our existing oak trim perfectly! It looks fantastic and is very tough stuff. We have had it down about 1 month and have not found a single scratch. We have a small very energetic dog and we were concerned about scratches. So far so good. It is easy to install and I did not find one bad board out of 52 boxes. I would recommend you purchase all of your trim needs from the same company. Very nice trim. However, I would recommend pre-driling or gluing the trim. I tried to use a trim nail gun and the nails bent over and sparks flew! You can not dent the trim with a hammer! Very impressive.

Absolutely LOVE this floor!
We installed 20 boxes of this floor into our living room and dining room in less than 8 hours. Quality of planks in every box was excellent. You do need to mix the planks between boxes to avoid color blocking and achieve the traditional wood floor look. Since this is a floating floor, there is a slight hollow noise and occasional popping that I don't get with my tongue and groove floor. Regarding the hardness of the floor: my husband and I dropped soup cans on multiple wood floor samples and this was the only sample that did NOT dent. :-) But you have to be sure you get the woven or strand bamboo because the regular bamboo is softer than most woods. I was frustrated that I had to order the baseboard as it is not stocked in any stores in my heavily populated area.(and no one at the store told me I had to order it so I thought I could pick it up once we were done installing the floor.) After we picked up the baseboard we realized we were going to need quarter round, which also needed to be ordered. You will notice in the pic that we used oak and stained it dark to match our furniture as I didn't want to wait another 1.5 weeks for a shipment. But now I need a transition piece for the foyer ceramic tile and will have to order that, and wait 1.5 weeks. That is the only frustrating part - the accessories are not in stock and take over a week to get in.

Excellent and durable floor
This floor looks great! Install was a snap (literately) once I got the subfloor level I got the underlayment in place and the flooring just clicked together. This was my first time installing a hardwood floor and after using this product I'm excited to do more of my home.

Great product
A friend and I installed over 500 square feet in about 1.5 days. Very easy to work with. We didn't find a single bad board in 26.5 cases. The new floor is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could say something negative, but it just wouldn't be true!

Good Product
Installed the product yesterday I did way more research on woods than I care to do - and plan (hope) never to have to research wood again. I purchased this bamboo because it was, by far, the hardest wood (via key scratch tests), I sampled. I also liked the coloring and grain style. The bamboo was fairly easy to install - click lock - had zero pieces that were warped or damaged in 14 boxes. You can see the coloring varied slightly between pieces (see the few light colored pieces in the finished product), but I like this as a personal preference. I used a washable marker to make cuts on the pieces, and at one point lost the marker, so tried to use a razorblade to make cut marks. This didn't work very well at all the wood is so hard. I had to press very hard with a razorblade to cut the wood, and even then it was fairly difficult to see. I stopped bothering with being careful during installation, because of the hardness and durability of this wood - I have already dropped several things (hammer, other wood pieces) without any damage. We also have two large dogs, and they have made no visible impact on the wood (granted, we have only had the wood for one full day) Time of installation: 14 boxes (266 sq feet) took approximately 12-15 man hours, including underlayment - fairly easy, but tedious work Pros: Beautiful Durable (scratches only to a razorblade, and even then it's difficult) Cheap (relative to comparable woods) Click lock (ease of installation) Cons: Honestly I can't think of any... wood grain differs between pieces?

Pretty, but work
Looks beautiful when clean. Have a Boston Terrier, she doesn't scratch the floor, but the dust and dog hair require constant attention. My daughter also loves to run around in bare feet which leaves footprints. Hard to find a cleaning product that doesn't leave streaks. Luckily I have a roomba that works well. A swifter is required frequently along with Murphy's oil soap. Had the Home Depot installers put down, but I am noticing peaks and separation between planks. We have had it down 6-8 months. They will come out and fix, but after reading other comments, I'm worried about what will happen after our warranty ends. It does seem to scratch easily. Every chair and piece of furniture has felt pads and we have put down rugs everywhere which is a shame. I periodically find scratches, but we for the most part are very careful and that hasn't yet become an issue. I think it would be fine for family withou small children and pets. I wanted a light oak and my husband wanted a dark color. Next time, I will put down tile or a light color wood with a good finish.

Easy to install, very durable, and looks great!
This product was easy to install for my wife and I. Did the living room and hall, and the master bedroom. After we installed the floor, had the kids visit from PA. They brought their 70 pound lab with them. I was worried that the floor would have all kinds of marks on it! Well, after the visit not one mark on the floor. Very durable! We also have a dog and it's holding up well. Just looks great! We are planning to do the other 2 bedrooms now. We are pleased to get rid of the carpet and have a nice clean, dust free home! Just a great product to have in our home!

    Easy down, looks great.
Five boxes, only two boards defective. Went down easily and looks great. A bit hollow sounding but not something I can't live with.

    Highly Satisfied
We have had the flooring in for about a week now and we love it! The flooring looks great and seems to be very durable. We went through about 20 boxes and only had one warped board and none were scratched. We were even able to use the one warped board for one of our cuts. Installation was a breeze. The only tools we really needed were a circular saw, a door jam cutter, and a rubber mallet. I was initially concerned that the circular saw would not make clean enough cuts but 99% of the cuts are covered by base boards so it doesn't really matter.

Looks good out of box...1 yr later another story
Have the same feeling about this as others. Seemed like a great buy with the dark, mahogany type of appearance and supposed ease of installation. The 'floating' install is a farce...there is way too much movement in the floor to not fasten this down with glue (but the directions say not to). Your floor must be completely level or else it starts to buckle and open up. It does scratch, but this is true of any dark floor. I'm guessing a heavier polyurethane coat on some floors would help prevent this. We are now going the route of pulling up and gluing down. Lesson learned...you get what you pay for. Next time we won't skimp on flooring and installation. Did not hold up well to a puddle/standing liquid for a few hours. This spot developed a crack and is now a fully split board 1 yr later. See pics - they show the standing liquid damage, the regular 3/16" gaps, and a 3/8" pull away at the baseboard shown by the sealant line). Lock profile definitely doesn't hold which is spelling disaster for us. Maybe better luck with product w/ conventional install?

      Beautiful Floor!
Does this floor scratch easily? Yes, if you drag your couch across it, or drag your shoes on it with out cleaning it. Dirt build-up on anything thats being drug on a flat surface is bound to scratch. Even if the floor was made of case hardened steel its still going to show some wear. Because this floor is dark it shows more than if the wood were blonde, but if you clean it your fine. I have 2 dogs, 2 kids under 3 years old and we have company over almost daily, this flooring has yet to be unimpressive with its durability. My son even dropped my claw hammer on it and no dents. Some of the coloring was a little off from box to box, but by installing several boxes at once, it eliminated that issue. As far as the clicking sound when the dogs walk across it, theres no excuse for not doing your homework. The elimination of that 'clicky' sound is simple, use sound deadening padding. Regardless of the wood flooring used, your still going to have that sound. Other things to help, we installed floor ourselves (requires some carpentry skill). Use a rubber mallet with block to secure 'tongue and groove' in place. Installed over concrete slab with moisture barrier and padding. Installed over 1500 sqft. Clean every other day with swiffer and a light mist cleaner for tough spots like milk stains and food spills. Vacuum once a month just to clean the corners you cant get to. The whole cleaning process for this much sq ft is like 5-10 minutes.

      Beautiful wood, but scratches easily
We just had this wood installed in our house. It's beautiful! However, before the installers even left the house, we scratched the floor. A week later, we have multiple scratches everywhere! Every time we walk in the room, another scratch appears! The box that the wood came in even left a scratch when I turned the box over on the floor. Floor does not dent easily if you drop something on it, but it scratches too easily to recommend buying it. I can't emphasize enough how easily it scratches even though we were being as gentle as possible! In no way would I recommend it. I wonder if I got a bad batch?

        Love our new floors
I spent a lot of time looking for a durable bamboo floor that wasn't too expensive. The guys are installing it now as I type this. I absolutely love the "Harvest" color. It matches our existing oak trim well. The installer told me that the pieces are all intact, no damage. This stuff is strong. I have two boys that are pretty rough on on things...so I hope it can withstand their abuse. I applied for the Home Depot credit card and received 10 percent off of my order. Delivery was free, which saved us from having to borrow a truck to go get it. So far, I am thrilled with my purchase and highly recommend Home Depot and this product.

Beautiful Flooring with Easy Install for Great Price
This flooring is beautiful and was very easy to install. I installed about 500 square feet of it (with some help on the difficult cuts) in 1 day after never doing it before in my life. It has a pretty consistent look (not alot of variation) which is what we wanted so it wouldn't distract from the rest of the homes wood and decor. The shipment came quickly and I haven't had to toss any boards because of damage. I haven't finished laying it in the rest of the house, and have not had it in long enough to comment on the scratching. I would recommend pads for all your furniture legs, and as with any darker flooring it will show dirt and dust easily so be prepared to clean/dust on a regular basis. The color has a bit more of a reddish tone and sometimes even a purple undertone to it as opposed to the photos online. You can see this in the photos in contrast to the walnut cabinetry.

        Love my new floors
My husband installed this floor in approximately 1000 sq feet of our home over a concrete subfloor. It looks beautiful and is wearing really well, with our abundance of pets. It does show paw prints, is a little slippery for the animals and I'm having to clean it quite often, but I couldn't be happier with the results. Out of 52 boxes of flooring, only 2 or 3 planks weren't perfect - but even those were fine for the closets. Very high quality control!

Beautiful Finish, Impossible to Keep Clean, Too Thin
I've had this floor installed in my house for about a month, and here's a breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: Fantastic price, beautiful color, looks really high end, very hard finish (no scratches or marks), installed pretty easily, and there's matching trim available. Cons: Another reviewer posted photos of boards separating - I thought they probably weren't installed correctly, but I am also having the same issue in a corner of my room. Overall, these floors sound really "clicky-clacky" when you walk on them because they are so thin. I can also understand how the boards could separate because the joints aren't strong. Also, I knew that purchasing dark floors meant cleaning more, but WOW did I underestimate that! These floors of course show every spec of dirt and dust, but its also really hard to keep them streak-free and free of footprints & shoeprints. Overall: Great looking floor, but be prepared for continuous cleaning, especially in high-traffic areas. I would DEFINITELY recommend buying the same floor in the 9/16" thickness....if you're willing to spend a little more.

          Frustrated
My husband and I bought over 400 sq ft of this a year ago. We thought we'd spend the money and buy something we wouldn't have to deal with again for a LONG time. We installed it ourselves to the manufacturer's guidelines, simple click and float, and it was gorgeous. Within 6 months the strip that divides the living room and the hall began to separate and within the next month, we had a half inch break in the floor. Now the rest of the floor is beginning to separate in random places, but everywhere! Turns out, the "click" joints aren't strong enough to hold on their own and we should have glued the joints. We still haven't gone through the hassle of pulling up all 400 sq ft, including T molding and reducers, to glue. Not sure if that will even work.
