This is NOT the Gardner Bender item. Home depot has substituted an inferior house brand item under the same SKU number. There is NO adhesive liner!

This stuff is surprisingly thick and sturdy after it shrinks. I was afraid it would be thin and prone to splitting under any minor stress, but it's quite the opposite and I'm pretty happy with that. I'm not sure why others complained about it not shrinking enough, it seemed to shrink plenty to me (though it did take a while with my 300W heat gun).

This product is very strong and wster proof. I am going to buy more:)

I didn't get to use this item, because Home Depot advertises it as a 1 in. diameter product when in reality the item is 7/8 in. (22.2 mm). It even says 7/8 in. and 22.2 mm super clearly on the package (see picture), but the package is no where on the Home Depot website. I was really upset when I received these via shipping (they weren't available in any store within 25 miles) and found they do not fit my job. The product itself may work really well - they seem sturdy - but I couldn't find out.

I am a newbie to the shrink tube applications. I used this tube to cover the bolt screws with nuts on them. I used 1000F heat gun. After shrink, the material became hard plastic. Love it.

I heated it, it shrunk. Worked as advertised. I would recommend it and buy it again. Thank you, Home Depot for the quality product.

Works as expected .

I may not have read the description well enough. I was expecting thinner walled tubing, just an overall diameter. If I had picked it up shopping in the store, I would not have gotten it. Since the tubing wall is so thick, it is MUCH sturdier than I needed, took a lot of heat to get it to shrink, and the shrinkage wasn't tight and uniform over the wire nuts I was trying to protect. So be sure you want "Heavy-Wall".

Nice heat shrink tubing. I used it to patch a frayed area on an old 14-2 wire. It worked great for that purpose and shrank up nicely using a heat gun.

The web description clearly states "Adhesive lined for waterproof seal". But there's no such thing. It's just generic heat shrink tubing just like the dozens of feet that I already have. Another case of sloppy web page management so common on the internet.

Easy use great product

Before I bought it I looked at the specs. That tells what the pre shrink diameter is. Why the last reviewer did not I do not know. Also the shrink ratio on heat shrink is usually about 3-1. You need to not undersize too much.
