Q:Is this product UL listed?

Answer This Question

A:  No, it doesn't say it is UL listed. This is just a split sheath that is good to contain insulated wiring for extra external protection and organization purposes, like enclosing two wires in a single sheath. To my knowledge it does not serve as additional insulation for the wiring. I used it to encapsulate and protect some regular insulated wiring running from a floor outlet to furniture from a new puppy. Worked well.

      A:  Inner dimensions are: Length - 120" , Width - 3/8", Height - 1/2" Outer dimensions are: Length - 120", Width - 7/16", Height 9/16"

                A:  Not sure it comes in white, but you can wrap your finished work with any color vinyl electrical tape for color coding.

                Ground wire was uncovered when my deck was replaced with a patio. I needed to cover the wire and the box. This was a little difficult to handle because there are 2 layers which had to be put on separately. But it was really hot that day, so maybe it really wasn’t bad.

                Both lengths are actually 10'. The 3/8" is inside of the 1/2". I used three lots of this to protect the bare wiring harness on a new kit trailer - given that it is going to be on the underside of a trailer on the road, I actually used the 3/8" for the wire, then slipped the 1/2" back over the 3/8" for double thickness protection. A lot less floppy than just using a single sheath. If you're going to double it up, remove the inner 3/8", insert the wire, then slip the 1/2" back over the inner 3/8". Much easier.
